Prayer ? even the Pope prayed for Madeleine. What have been the results so far ?
Raising awareness ? - is there anyone on this planet who has not heard of Madeleine ?
Putting up Posters ? - "The campaign needs a futile gesture, Perkins, so rush out and put up a few posters. There's a good chap"
etc. - probably includes balloons, wrist bands, T shirts, and those floaty lanterns. Any results yet ?
At least with money they can pay lawyers to try to keep the truth under wraps, and to try to prevent people thinking for themselves, travel, pay the mortgage...
Exactly! MONEY is useful for the livings - for the mccanns' agenda and nothing else.
What good is it to Madeleine? Fat lot of good when her parents didnt pay for anyone to search the 10km radius of PDL which their private dick claimed Maddie was supposed to be languishing in together with the monster who got her. I am beginning to think if there is any truth in the misinformation, it would be that they had buried her in a cave 10km radius of PDL. Not impossible if one thinks about it.
Why dont they count their luck (they'd been incredibly lucky so far) and stfu -go away and stay obscure instead of prosecuting people for $$$$$$$$ and when that looks like dooming for them they want to come out with PAGES of more lies.
Will their book be their undoing - like a last breath testimony?
Well....the one use that the book will serve is that - it will offer both sides police a glimpse of what the mccanns have to say about 'the truth'....so on that asepct it should be interesting to the law enforcers.

Thank you to all of you that have been there for us. We are extremely grateful and we could not keep looking for our daughter if it wasn't for the kindness of strangers.
The Kindness of Strangers | Madeleine - Writing the Wrongs

From the moment that Madeleine McCann went missing on 3rd May 2007 her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, have had to completely and utterly rely on the kindness of strangers.
THE KINDNESS OF STRANGERS
From the moment that Madeleine McCann went missing on 3rd May 2007 her parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, have had to completely and utterly rely on the kindness of strangers.
Evidence now shows that the Portuguese police spent precious little time searching for a missing little girl and considerably more time searching for evidence to implicate her parents in her murder. They have failed miserably on both counts and left many parents world-wide wondering if Portugal is indeed the family holiday haven we previously believed it was.
From that first desperate plea made by Madeleine’s family on early morning television, our hearts went out to the little lost girl and her family. We watched and prayed as news reports updated us of the continuing search, new leads, new theories and new suspects. All of which came to nothing.
As donations started flooding in, an official fund was set up. More and more of us contributed, in the desperate hope that the amount that we donated could actually make that little bit of difference, could actually mean that Madeleine was finally found. And although raising money and donating to the fund is essential to help the continuing search for Madeleine, sadly there isn’t a magic number that will bring Madeleine home.
We held our own children tightly and watched in disbelief as Madeleine’s parents were made arguidos and we wept as we watched Kate’s lonely walks along the beach, clutching her daughter’s precious Cuddle Cat.
Finally, as they arrived back in England and stepped off the plane without their beloved eldest daughter, our throats burned with sadness as we listened to Gerry’s heart-rending pleas to the world to help them find their lovely little girl.
It has been an emotional rollercoaster for all of us following the case but for none more so than Kate and Gerry McCann. Their misjudged decision to leave their children in the hotel room that night has changed their world forever, and in turn it has changed all our worlds. Who now would even consider leaving a child unattended, even for five minutes? I am now more suspicious of strangers and far more vigilant with my children than I ever was before Madeleine went missing. My children will never have the freedom to play out of my view, even in the garden or in the street, the way I did when I was their age. I wouldn’t dream of letting them go for bike rides to the park without me or their father, or letting them run errands to the shop or to the letterbox without me. All freedoms and adventures that my younger brother and I experienced and relished in our childhoods and all so very much part of growing up and learning to be independent.
A generation of mothers will now hold their children closer far longer than we probably should and we make no excuse or apology for this. It is quite simply because anything could happen, anyone could be out there and I would far rather my children tell me I am mean and unfair to them, than the unthinkable happen and they not be around to tell me at all.
How Kate and Gerry have coped is beyond me. I am certain I would have died from the pain and grief they undoubtedly feel. But it is in the complete and utter belief that if they work hard enough to find her, if they do enough to make up for that mistake and keep on searching for her, then one day Madeleine will be home again. Madeleine’s parents have to believe this. Not to believe it, to give up hoping and trying would be to give up on their daughter and no parent could ever contemplate doing that.
However, Kate and Gerry are very well aware that it is almost impossible that they will be the ones to spot their missing daughter in a crowd, or find the vital clue that brings their daughter home. With no police force in the world out there actively looking for Madeleine her parents have to both rely on and have complete faith in the kindness of strangers. This is why they must keep Madeleine’s beautiful little face and her heartbreaking story in the forefront of our minds. All hope really will be lost if we forget about Madeleine.
Recently, while attending to my four year old daughter in a toyshop, my two year old daughter took the opportunity of pushing the doll’s pram she was playing with the full length of the shop, out of the shop door and down a busy road. Now I accept that she was completely and utterly my responsibility but not one person stopped her on her little adventure. In this age of false accusations, not one person stopped my little girl as she pushed the pram through the shoppers and along the pavement. Yet as I ran after her I saw people look at her, turn and nudge each other but not one bent down to ask where her mummy was. Would they have stopped her if she had tried to cross the road? I really don’t know. Sadly, this is exactly what the McCanns are up against. People just don’t want to risk getting involved or making a scene. Why else would there have been so many ‘sightings’ of Madeleine where action was not taken immediately?
Mr and Mrs McCann now have to pray that a stranger, who sees a little girl a lot like Madeleine, doesn’t just stare, wonder, walk away and recount their story to friends and family several days later, but that they do the right thing. That they call the police and hotline number immediately, whilst they have the child in their sights.
They have to pray that a stranger, suspicious of a neighbour or odd behaviour, reports this immediately, rather than years later when it could be too late.
Better a well meaning mistake than a lost opportunity to reunite a family and rebuild a little girl’s life.
Somebody out there knows exactly what has happened to Madeleine McCann and the likelihood is that more than one person knows where she is now. It is going to take a very brave, decent individual to break a trust and pass on the details of a secret, but that person could end this nightmare for Madeleine and her family in one short telephone call.
Recently, I met Kate McCann for the very first time. She looks very different to the tanned, healthy young woman we saw in those first reports from Portugal. She is extremely thin, tired and understandably carries an enormous sadness in her eyes. She held herself with gracefulness and poise but she is without doubt a woman who is incomplete.
As we said goodbye I wished her well in the search for her daughter and I am ashamed to say that in my sadness for her situation and the knowledge that it could so easily be me, I filled up with tears. This thoroughly decent and kind woman, who has lost so much, put her arms around me and comforted me. How could I possibly understand what she has gone through, is still going through and will continue to go through until her daughter is back home? Losing my daughter for a few moments in a busy town centre is just a nasty taste of what she has endured every single day for almost four years. Yet she was kind enough to comfort me.
How can we not wish the McCanns well in their search? How can we not feel that it is all of our responsibilities as fellow human beings to do what we can to help them find their daughter? We have all made mistakes with our children, we wouldn’t be human if we hadn’t, but few of us with such life changing and terrible results.
If I walked in Kate McCann’s heavy shoes, I would beg every family member, friend, neighbour and stranger to help me in any small way they could and in my utter desperation I wouldn’t stop asking and asking until my daughter was home. We shouldn’t turn away because the McCanns keep asking for help and reminding us of our own fears. A million people on the lookout are so much better than two. They need our help and they need our basic human kindness to understand and empathise with their nightmare ordeal.
I defy anyone to say that they would behave any differently. In their shoes, each and every one of us would rely on the kindness of strangers.

Re: The Writing of the Wrongs Articles - promoted on The McCanns' Official Facebook
Not a badly structured piece at all. From a quick skim read, which should only havebeen a cursory glance, one has noted that the main bones of contention are quite well placed, with just enough time to finish chewing on one bone before another one is thrown at you. It almost has a tempo. Howvever, one was not lulled towards one's wallet at all.
This part was rather irritating to read: ''If I walked in Kate McCann’s heavy shoes, I would beg every family member, friend, neighbour and stranger to help me in any small way they could and in my utter desperation I wouldn’t stop asking and asking until my daughter was home''..
If this woman believes that it's because Kate McCann's shoes are so heavy that they make her want to beg every family member, friend, neighbour and stranger to help her with just about everything, then perhaps it should be suggested to Kate McCann that she take these bloody heavy shoes off! Lighter footwear, may be just the ticket for Kate McCann to start doing all those small things that she needs so much help with. Perhaps she could start with the serious matter of those outstanding questions for the PJ?
This could create a grand re-opening of the investigation very quickly.

My
focus, though, is a very different anomaly. In his infamous interim
report, written on 10th September 2007, PJ inspector Tavares Almeida
alluded to this brief encounter, giving both David’s version and Kate’s.
The question is how he knew about David’s version. He knew about Kate’s
from her arguida interview, but neither she nor David referred to it in
their initial interviews on May 4th, the day after Madeleine’s
abduction.
The author is mistaken. That report gave Gerry's version, not D Payne's, hence no anomaly
Assumption - Kates interview will have taken longer taking into account translators for one. Payne's interview spans so much because of all the waffle IMOAutumn wrote:https://www.facebook.com/Official.Find.Madeleine.Campaign?ref=sgm
There’s
something else, too. Kate’s arguida interview lasted over 10 hours,
from early afternoon until the early hours of the following morning.
From her files, the record of her interview, loaded into an office word
document, spans just 7 pages. On the other hand, David Payne’s rogatory
interview by Leicestershire Police lasted just 7 hours and spans 64
pages on a word document. Clearly, only a minute fraction of what Kate
actually said during her interview is recorded, leaving us to guess what
has been omitted. Also of note is that the PJ, unlike the British
police, summarise the content of interviews in reported form. Ally that
to the fact that her statements were translated from Portuguese to
English, then back to Portuguese, and there is much scope for loss of
precise meaning inherent in original, spoken, words.

Hotel Room?
From The Kindness of Strangers - Writing of The Wrongs
It has been an emotional rollercoaster for all of us following the case but for none more so than Kate and Gerry McCann. Their misjudged decision to leave their children in the HOTEL ROOM that night has changed their world forever, and in turn it has changed all our worlds
https://jillhavern.forumotion.net/t2068p10-the-writing-of-the-wrongs-updates-from-the-mccanns-official-facebook-site
Has anyone noticed how recently TM have begun referring to the apartment room as 'Hotel Room'? Had a look at messages on 'Maddie in America' article and I was struck by how many mentioned that Maddie had been left in a 'hotel room'. Are the McCanns making a deliberate attempt to play down leaving their children by spinning a lie that they were in a hotel rather than an apartment? Whilst leaving your children alone in a hotel room is not acceptable, somehow it doesn't sound quite as bad as leaving them in an apartment.

“ misjudged decision “ …. that’s a new one too .
Quote KM ; Aug. 2007 – “ You don't expect a predator to break in and take your daughter out the bed. It could have happened under other circumstances and there would still be the regret. It wasn't like a decision we made. It was a matter of 'let's get the kids to sleep, then we'll have dinner.' It wasn't a 'shall I, shan't I?' thing

Did Kate McCann not say at some point, something along the lines of, ''You do not expect somebody to come along and take a child from ''your'' bed.''? As in, Kate McCann's or Gerald McCann's own bed, not Madeleine's own bed?

It's quite possible JM , those two have contradicted themselves so many times I've lost track of who said what and when

Evidence now shows that the Portuguese police spent precious little time searching for a missing little girl and considerably more time searching for evidence to implicate her parents in her murder.
The behaviour of the Mccanns and their friends gave the PJ every reason to suspect that the truth was not being told therefore if the PJ spent little time in searching for Madeleine then the Mccanns and their friends would have to look to their own behaviour. Also once again it appears to have been forgotten that it appears to have been on advice of the British Police they were made arguidos imo.

Aren't they hard-faced and damn cheeky saying the PJ spent precious little time looking. I would like to know exactly what evidence they have of this. I have seen video after video, photo after photo of hundreds of people out til all hours searching for their little girl.

It would appear that Kate admitted she did not search, so what gives them the right to criticise anyone - the PJ DID search and that is a FACT.
I remember reading the story of Sara Payne, how she was beside herself when Sarah went missing, she ran everywhere looking in the fields, knocking on doors in the village etc., until she was totally exhausted - as any parent would do when a child has gone missing.

The police spent time in pursuing the parents because this is where the evidence was pointed towards. A ten year old child flicking quickly through the police files would deduce the same thing in less than ten minutes.

This appallingly badly written piece makes me feel slightly ill.
Full of factual errors, its soppy, over-emotional style apes that sort of thing that a teenager may write, perhaps for an "A" level essay, but maybe I'm doing "A" level students a disservice!
How the McCanns could highlight this dreadful writing without cringeing is beyond me.

The only rational explanation for the parents' behaviour that night is...
Madeleine was not missing. They knew precisely where she was and what state she was in after IT happened.
Hence no searching, no rushing around like mad things, no frantic knocking on all the doors within a half mile radius, pleading for help from everyone they met. Nothing.
Just going to bed, and thinking up excuses such as "it was too dark". Playing on the computer, and organising tennis lessons
Incidentally have people seen this one yet,

''were vacationing in the Algarve region, which has now, reputedly, been named the hunting ground for children like Madeleine by an alleged Portuguese pedophile ring.''
''One telling point in the recent development by this bouncer/investigator bears repeating. He said, "I am prepared to go to any length to reveal the truth about these sick people -- they need to be exposed."
Those are passionate words from a man who has no relation and/or receives no financial compensation for a child that lived a world away and has been missing for almost four years.
It almost sounds like he has an obsessive desire to either draw attention to the plight of another missing child -- and the men who took it -- by using the more high profile Madeleine McCann case to motivate a crackdown of particular people, or that he just wants international attention.''
Or indeed, that he may very well have been coerced into going along to the police and media with his ludicrous tales.

EDDIE THE INFALLIBLE - THE REAL SCANDAL OF CUDDLE CAT - 21st Feb 2011
The McCanns post up the latest update link to 'our friends' at The Writing of The Wrongs Blog
EDDIE THE INFALLIBLE? - THE REAL SCANDAL OF CUDDLE CAT
Martin Grime, dog handler of British sniffer dogs, Keela and Eddie, never did say that Eddie, the cadaver dog, was always right. He said that, in operation, Eddie had never once alerted falsely to the cadaver scent of a dead, wild, animal or food stuffs. That became corrupted on-line, to never been wrong or (even in a PJ report, written mid-way through the case) to, 100% accurate. If Eddie, in fact, ever had an unblemished record (impossible to prove or disprove) he certainly lost it in Praia da Luz.
When the British press revealed that Kate had washed cuddle-cat, there was on-line outrage. Kate was accused of having washed away forensic evidence crucial to the investigation. Beyond dispute, when Madeleine vanished, her toy was left, lying on the bed. But then Kate is a medical doctor, not a police woman or forensic scientist.
Portugal has a perfectly good forensic laboratory, used in the Madeleine investigation, but its forensic report says nothing about the toy. That was the first missed opportunity by the PJ to take the toy for forensic examination. The second was following the British forensic sweep with the sniffer dogs. In the villa the McCanns rented after vacating the holiday apartment, clothes and the toy were canine-inspected. Both dogs tested the area to check for scents before the inspections and there was none. On Eddie’s first encounter with Cuddle-cat, he sniffed it, picked it up and played with it. But he didn’t bark (his official signal of a scent). Then the toy was hidden in a cupboard and Eddie barked. That was an error, but whether of omission (not barking when he should have) or commission (barking when he shouldn’t have) we can only guess.
From Martin Grime’s rogatory interview, we perhaps get a glimpse of the view of Amaral’s successor, Paulo Rebelo, of the dogs’ performance in Praia da Luz.
“Can you confirm if the signal given regarding the stuffed toy corresponds to a concrete alert of detection of a cadaver, or a mere trick played by the dog”
From Grime’s predictably indignant response, we learn something else startling:
The dogs were not taught any ‘tricks’. The cadaver dog, Eddie, reacted to the toy, which at my request was retained by the Judicial Police for future forensic analysis. I have no knowledge of the results of any forensic analysis on the toy.
Grime recommended that the toy be tested.
John Lowe, from the Forensic Science Service in Birmingham, wrote a long and detailed report of all tests carried out on items or artefacts forwarded to the forensic laboratory, including the ignition card of the McCanns’ Renault hire car and cuttings from the flower bed. But with John Lowe’s report, as with the report from the Portuguese forensic laboratory, there is no mention of cuddle-cat. It was never forwarded to Birmingham. Grime’s instruction was ignored.
Why? In the meanwhile, if the PJ saw no reason to suppose that the toy might hold vital forensic clues, why should Kate have thought any different? And how (and why!) did the PJ come to the conclusions they did?

Yes they can 'only guess ' .... lol .... no explanation then as to why they 'guess ' this was an error on the cannine teams part

How do they know CC was never forwarded to Birmingham? How do they know that the instruction Mr Grime gave was ignored? How do we know if the CC that KM carried around after the sniffer dogs alerted is the same CC? Two sisters could each have had a CC. The CC in the cupboard could have been sent for testing. The results may not have been released (just like all of the dogs video was not released) and the PJ could perhaps still have that CC. The McCanns do not have all of the polices files! So how would they know?

emilyb3, in my original post (above) I mention perhaps the full report may not have been released. IIRC all the video of the dogs alerting has not been released either such as irrc Keela the CSI dog helping to locate the tiles which were to be lifted for forensic testing. Even if CC was not forwarded to Birmingham it does necessarily mean the instruction by Mr Grime was ignored. Perhaps the alerted CC was retained for evidence? Perhaps it is still retained . Even if CC was not forwarded it does not mean that Eddie did not signal cadver. IIRC the CSI dog did not alert to CC therefore if CC was not sent to Birmingham perhaps that is the reason why. One wonders if perhaps the Portuguese could still have the cadaver CC. Why is CC not being carted around the way CC was in Portugal? Hmm wonder if CC will now take to the stage again? IIRC the PJ copied KM's diary. Were those copies released with the files?
Martin Grime and Eddie and Keela

The dogs were not taught any “tricks”.EVRD “signalled” the toy, which at my request was retained by the Judicial Police for future forensic analysis. I have no knowledge of the results of any forensic analysis on the toy.

LET'S FIND HER - 23rd February 2011
http://madeleine-writingthewrongs.com/2011/02/23/let%E2%80%99s-find-her/
LET'S FIND HER
My belief is that there is a huge likelihood that in some way Madeleine’s abductors will conform to the behaviour of other abductors of successfully recovered children e.g. (from currently limited knowledge but I am on the case with researching this subject much more deeply)
1. There is a tendency for children to be held remarkably close to where they were taken.
2. Often they have been exposed to public view.
3. In retrospect, neighbours/colleagues/associates all comment on ‘odd’ elements they’d noted regarding the case, but hadn’t necessarily reported or pushed the point on.
4. The child taken had tried to communicate the fact to strangers that they were being held or trapped or in one or two instances had seen coverage regarding their own abduction.
Surely this means that with a bit of research this blog can help to communicate a) how incredibly possible it is to find and get Madeleine back b) how perfectly possible it is that anyone can actually help c) that if anyone with doubts should act now rather than regret later and d) sometimes cries for help can be missed or dismissed
Watch this space, I can see already it makes for interesting reading.

COMMUNITY CHARGE - 28th Feb 2011
Their rants are getting increasingly bizarre
http://madeleine-writingthewrongs.com/2011/02/28/community-charge/
COMMUNITY CHARGE
I was reading the BBC news site the other day and noticed an article relating to an exhibition of photography around London over the ages. The first image – which is the only one relevant to this blog – was of one of three children, all of them no more than five years old, taken in 1892. The threesome are sat on the edge of a kerb, two have no shoes on, all are pretty grubby and certainly not in the immediate care of an adult. In the background of the shot there is a ladder, seemingly randomly leaned against a wall. I bet no-one told them not to climb that ladder in case it toppled, I bet no-one told them not to walk about barefoot in case of injuring their feet, I bet no-one had to tell them to stay close, not get lost, come home before dark, not miss tea. I bet all of this because no-one expected any of it to be otherwise. I certainly bet no one expected them to be abducted by a stranger.
I’ll bet that if any one of the dangers that could have befallen them had done so – and pray God they didn’t – one thing that wouldn’t have happened was that the parents would have been blamed. The community would have pulled together, someone would have helped them, tended them, got them home, taken them in and sent someone to find their folks. I’ll bet that those children felt safe, that their parents knew they weren’t alone, that if anyone tried to take or harm their children, the community (be it street, village, town, city, county, country or continent) would have sided with the parents and turned against the offenders and done all in their power to right any wrong.
So what happened in the case of Madeleine? and why isn’t the ‘community’ (be it street, village, town, city, county, country, continent) able to influence the powers that be, to right the wrong?
Help them. Sign the petition: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/madeleinemccann_case_review/

Some of the comments on the McCanns petition are very worrying.
"Comments: PLEASE do all you can for this child and her family.
I would gladly give up my own life to save her, that's how strong I feel.

One would like to say that we have increasingly bizarre situation. However, everything to do with this case has been most bizarre since the very beginning.
There appears to be a number of people involved in this case who are prepared to die in the name of it.
It would therefore be interesting to find out if they all share the same psychiatrists and hospital ward. Or is it the case that those with dubious shared interests are just simply trying to protect each other?

The above from ranting the wrongs sounds likes r/pops drivel. I hope the above is not a taster of the up and coming book content.
that is what the McCanns are linking to via iirc their site, FB and twitter! Poor MBM let down on holiday by her parents, still being let down by her parents!

Someone needs to inform the person who would give up their own life to save her that the mysteriously disappeared child's parents can re-open the case. The parents can re-open it however the faketition cannot no matter how many signatures false or otherwise!

WHY ARE THERE SUCH PEOPLE? - 2nd March 2011
WHY ARE THERE SUCH PEOPLE?
As we know, the McCanns have started a petition asking for an Independent Review of Madeleine’s case.
Here is the link – http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/madeleinemccann_case_review/
At the time of writing this there are 45,614 signatures with hopefully more to come. There are also the paper petition signatures to add to this figure.
Personally I am shocked that it is up to Madeleine’s parents to initiate a review. A British citizen, a small child, is missing – no official body in either Portugal or the UK is looking for her.
Incredibly sad to note that in an attempt by some people to add to the McCann family pain and distress, certain quarters are trying to ruin this petition. On their “forums”, and on Twitter, they make false claims regarding duplicate or fake signatures. Now I KNOW first hand from people involved that this petition is scrupulously checked and any anomalies or repeats when obvious are deleted. This wording actually appears on the petition: “Duplicate signatures from the same person/email address will be deleted from the petition before it is finalized.”
In fact I would hope that the people who sign on behalf of their whole family would encourage them to go and sign individually. I have seen this a few times and think some signatures are “lost” this way.
It confuses me as to why unkind people want to try and damage this petition? They say they want justice – well, don’t we all? We all want to know what happened to little Madeleine McCann and by whom. Madeleine’s family want this more than any of us.
To my, and many others way of thinking -the best way forward is to achieve an independent review, which in turn could hopefully lead to a re-opening of the investigation into finding and bringing Madeleine back home where she belongs.
My question is: Why are these heartless people trying to sabotage this attempt to get things moving? I just don’t understand their warped thinking.
Please, if you haven’t already done so – sign this Petition and encourage others to sign and pass on.

Could these blogs have been set up and maintained by a group of people? The book "Incompetence or corruption" was written on behalf of the team if I remember correctly.
Here is Upshon on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1062079610
Notice his contact details:

If he is not the author of the blog, he is probably involved in maintaining it.

Certainly seems that way as the site is listed on his FB contact details. And we know that Upshon has worked closely with Nessling with his other blog, 'Madeleine: A Destiny Begun' its a fair bet they are both involved.
