I've just seen a clip posted by carmen on MM. I had never seen this before.

GM you freakin creep. You had a friggin plan for what to do six months after Madeleine's disappearance. You put your foot right in it in this clip. I am hammering my keyboard in anger at you.

And they started planning the one year money raising event a very long time before, and then when asked, had hurriedly to say something along the lines "It won't be the anniversary, it will be sooner than that"
And they KNOW M will not be found before the book launch on April 28th, And GM was photographed in front of a presentation board on which appeared the words similar to "The bigger picture"
and so on.
Brother John gave up his job to run the fund. he has a wife and four children, but he gave up his job to run a fund to look for a small girl, who we were being lead to believe was alive and available to be found the following day (according to them). So he KNEW as well.

Indeed PM. Makes you wonder. People on this forum and on many other forums have figured this out. It is incomprehensible that the combined police forces of the UK & Portugal haven't come to the same conclusion. After all, we are just ordinary people, whose common sense has told us that the McCanns' version of their daughter's disappearance just CANNOT be true. We have to hope that there is an on-going investigation. I do beleve that one day the truth will come out.

Sadly, I feel what we are actually dealing with is not one but two crimes. The first being what happened to Madeleine, the second being the enormous lengths both Governments went to, to keep certain things covered up and to ensure it remains that way.

Plans are a wonderful thing. But it is not always obvious who was originally behind them, or who did all the donkey work to pull it off.

Interestingly that is wholly within the jurisdiction of the Leicestershire Fraud Squad, whereas whatever happened to Madeleine is probably not.
Al Capone was eventually jailed for financial irregularities, rather than for violent crime.
No connection of course. No comparison really. Just a trivial observation to brighten up G and K's Christmas, now that they are a family, as he put it.

One would have thought he would stick through thick and thin with the Fund since he was the anchor behind it when he gave up his job to man it. And he got paid Director's fee too (if I am not wrong) so why did he resign? Infighting? or knows v. well the case is done and dusted...no more challenge to the job as notmuch money is going to continue flowing in.

Bet book was in pipeline long ago and he knew that;and knew that the fund doesnt need the same level of managing because it isnt going to be used for new set of PIs hire.

It's obvious exists now to fund the mccanns' legal cost which will be astronomical if they lose the libel, which they will.

A legal point, and I don't know if this is within TB's ambit.
If the McCs / the Fund has to pay vast costs, is the amount available limited by the fact that it was set up as a Limited Cpmpany, or might the trustees become jointly and severally liable.
Is that in fact why the more prescient ones are bailing out now ?
And if, so, would they still be liable for things that happened on their watch, regardless of the date of thier resignation ?
Don't know. Just an idle and happy thought.

They had a plan for at least a year after Maddie's disappearance. Do you not remember her father's big ideas for a rock concert, with Elton John? 'It wouldn't be for the one year anniversary of her disappearance. It would be sooner than that', I believe was the quote.

they seemed to be making a number of plans for the future, that is NOT normal at all imo in the case of someone who has gone missing when they could turn up at any time, you would be focusing on the here and now, begging whoever has her to return her safely, drop her off somewhere, telling the abductor how much you are missing her, you would not imo be making plans for way into the future, the fact they have done that is another thing which I believe has dropped them in it! They do not appear to be as clever as they think they are.
