Jojo has settled in nicely
I do think I have settled in nicely and hope my contributions are as valid as everyone's, no matter how long I have been here this time around. I would like to think I am clued up enough on the case, admittedly not as much as most but more than enough. We are all here in search of the truth whatever that may be.
I took no offence to LiRs post.

I think K lamented (allegedly abducted) M not having her Barbie pyjamas that were warmer as M hated cold. In "madeleine" ? Speaking to their priest friend ? I can't remember right now. I'll search.

And if Madeleine has a long sleeved AND a short sleeved pair, which would it be necessary to Wash one because it had a drop of tea (?) on it. Vomit yes, Fae***. yes, but TEA ?
This is another part of the Story they didn't rehearse properly, like the point at which Kate said
"These are the ACTUAL pyjamas she was wearing - when she. . . . Oh bugger, what have I just said ?"

Re: Bernt Stellander interview
If either of my children had been bed wetters then they would have worn nappies so maybe yes I would have taken two pairs for each child just for ordinary grubbiness. If child spills liquid of any sort then the pjs could have been wet. Either just a little or wet through depending on the amount spilled. In that case a quick rinse and put to dry. Spilled tea though will stain if allowed to dry so how was it not noticed before it had dried? Even milky tea would have been evident.PeterMac wrote:If you were going away for one week, would you pack TWO pairs of pyjamas for each of your Three children ?

For me this is another case of too much detail. Why not just say that you had done a bit of hand washing, why all the detail?

I always thought that to be unlikely because they
would get filthy.
So why mention a small tea stain, there was a whole shelf in the wardrobe full of dirty washing according to Gerry.
Maybe there was another set of pyjamas with long sleeves.

Re the wardrobe and the alleged dirty rumpled up washing instead of wasting time handwashing a pyjama top you’d grab some of them alleged dirty clothes and do a washing machine wash, especially when you had the maintenance men out to fix said washing machine …. Unless you had to soak something that required a certain kind of soakingNina wrote:If either of my children had been bed wetters then they would have worn nappies so maybe yes I would have taken two pairs for each child just for ordinary grubbiness. Re: Bernt Stellander interview
From the look of the clothes on the shelf, she never used the washer.
If Kate had washed Madeleine's pyjama top and put it out to dry, I'm not convinced it would be dry enough for her to wear that same night, the weather wasn't warm enough to fully dry washing in my opinion.
There is no way I would be putting it on my child.

Re: Bernt Stellander interview
Not that it really matters but when on holiday we have always used one of the cases/bags as what we called the ''dirty bag''. We never just threw our dirty clothes into a pile somewhere. Now with all the running and sweaty tennis surely the pile of clothes would be almost fermenting. Phew.crusader wrote:The washing machine wasn't broken, the service men came to fix the broken blind and Kate asked them to show her how to work the washer.
