Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
I'll try it a bit at a time.
parents have issued a new message as they continue their search for their missing daughter. Kate and Gerry McCann say the efforts find Madeleine continue with "the same determination, commitment and vigour".
They posted a message on the Official Find Madeleine Campaign Facebook page on Sunday. Kate and Gerry said there was "no new significant news to share", in their message, as reported by Leeds Live.
The couple reflected on "awful events happening around the world" and ended hoping that "2024 brings a greater love for mankind, hope and peace to us all".

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
The McCann's Facebook post read: "Another year comes to a close. I’m sure they’re getting shorter! Whilst there is no new significant news to share in the search for Madeleine, efforts continue with the same determination, commitment and vigour.
"We believe such perseverance will eventually yield results. Thank you again for your support, Christmas wishes and shared hope.
"Despite our own personal circumstances, it is impossible to be unaffected by the awful events happening around the world this year with so many wars, immeasurable pain and suffering, children abducted, killed and orphaned.
"Let’s hope that 2024 brings a greater love for mankind, hope and peace to us all."
It comes after Portuguese police reportedly apologised for the way detectives investigated the case and treated the McCann family, as reported by Leeds Live. Madeleine vanished in May 2007 while on holiday with her parents in Praia da Luz, after they left the then three-year-old and her younger twin siblings asleep in their apartment while they went for dinner with friends a short distance away.
In September 2007, during questioning of Madeleine's parents, detectives made them both "arguidos" - or suspects - in their daughter's disappearance. The status was eventually lifted and the investigation was shelved in 2008, but the couple remained under suspicion in Portugal for years.

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
Continued
After Scotland Yard launched their own investigation, Operation Grange, in 2013, Portuguese police confirmed a review of their original inquiry had uncovered new lines on inquiry - and they reopened their case.
The officers also gave their support to the German authorities who believe their prime suspect, 46-year-old German national Christian Brueckner, a convicted sex offender, kidnapped and murdered the youngster. Brueckner is in prison in Germany for the rape of a woman in Praia da Luz in 2005, and is suspected of further rapes and child sexual abuse committed in the area between 2000 and 2017.
He has reportedly denied any involvement in Madeleine’s disappearance. Earlier this year, a reservoir in Portugal was searched and items were seized after German prosecutors received "certain tips" about the case.

Dear Ms Farrington,
I take it you are aware that the Portuguese Police did NOT apologise to the McCanns,
and posted their denial of this on their own PJ website to squash the rumours which went around the British Tabloid press
and which it appears still are.
I take it you are also aware that there is no evidence of ‘abduction’,
You may also be aware that there is no evidence that Madeleine was alive and well afer Sunday lunchtime, 29th April,
and further that the Date on the Pool Photo has been altered.
And you are surely aware that no items of any significance in the to the case were found o r’seized’ during the search of the area round the Arade dam.
Apart from that the atricle is no more than we expect.
If you ever need any background information before publishing further articles, do not hesitate to get in touch
Sincerely
Peter MacLeod
retired Police Superintendent, (who has followed this case from day 2)

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
i always try to escape given links to unknown sources because they are often dirty ones, and i just googled birmingham mail and google did give a direct link, not the same that is hidden in the other one, what was a redirected on with a unknown country., and then it was no problem at all.
certainly with links from facebook, reddit and twitter, or call it the x thing, there are a lot of jokers out there to give you their virus or worse. and it is just a bit of software, works the same as that you can give a link out by a word you can click on, like the usual click 'her', instead of 'here' they just use the full link.
it is not the nice way to start the year off with a fresh virus or worse.

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
What a way to kick start yet another year .... Christian Brueckner .
The press reports doing the circuit in the past 24 hours primarily relate to Gerry and Kate McCann's new year message posted on facebook , the rest is just padding as the gutter press have been doing since the very beginning. What's added and what's taken away differs from one tabloid to another but the basic 'new' story is the same - no doubt emanating from a press agency, that is always the source of news unless reporters are on the ground so to speak.
Every report over the past 3.7 years refers to the suspicions (evidence?) that Brueckner abducted and murdered Madeleine McCann - this is nothing new so why an obscure local news outlet has been specifically targeted, I'm at a loss to understand. Unless of course it's only a way of getting Brueckner's name back at the top of the pile.
Snipped from the press report I copied over last night..

There have been no developments as regards Christian Brueckner's alleged involvement with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, the press are just churning out the same old nonsense, until something productive happens I think Brueckner can be safely put to rest.

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
I doubt it very much.
More likely they know full well the name Madeleine McCann and anyone or anything connected to the name will draw the punters.
Since when did the gutter press care about the mis/disinformation they propagate.

Where is Marianna Spring on the Brückner setup?
Or is it all okay to spread lies as long as it is a German suspect?
And not an English citizen?
Will she be ‘Doorstepping’ Jon Clarke?
I bet not….

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
This is an old article, not sure of the date:
Wiki Bouis: Operation Grange’s Chief Suspect for the Abduction and Murder of Madeleine McCann
Who is Christian Brueckner? Wiki, Biography, Age, The German Madeleine McCann suspect
by Anne Tyler
Christian Brueckner: Christian Brueckner Wiki – Christian Brueckner Biography
The disappearance of three-year-old British girl Madeleine McCann from a popular holiday resort in the Portuguese Algarve has confounded detectives for more than 16 years. No one has ever been charged in connection with the disappearance of Maddie, who would now be in her late 20s [NO, she would be just 20 – seedsofdoubt], but a convicted sex offender was named as the prime suspect in the high-profile case last year.
Christian Brueckner, a native of Germany, is currently in prison for the unrelated rape of a 72-year-old woman in Praia da Luz, the same location where the girl disappeared. Previously known only as Christian B, the suspect’s yellow and white trailer was seen near the area where the girl went missing on May 3, 2007.
Now, police are searching a remote reservoir 31 miles from the resort that Brueckner reportedly used to visit and called “his little paradise of his” from him. As prosecutors try to build a picture of Brueckner’s life in the Algarve, MailOnline looks at why the convicted pedophile is a suspect in the notorious case.
Who is Christian Brueckner?
Christian Brueckner is a native German sex offender who is the only identified suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann [NO, ‘Smithman’ was identified as the chief suspect in a high profile Crimewatch TV documentary on 14 October 2013 - seedsofdoubt]. The prisoner is a prolific thief and has been convicted of sexual offences against girls.
He was born in Germany in 1976 and moved to Portugal in his late teens, working in the food industry. He is believed to have resided in the country between 1995 and 2007 and spent time living in his motorhome there, not far from the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz.
Images of Brueckner behind bars in Germany have been released, where he is currently serving a prison sentence. He is described as being about 6 feet tall, slim with short blonde hair. Brueckner was officially named a suspect in the Madeleine McCann case in April 2022.
Why is he a suspect in the Madeleine McCann case?
Brueckner was named a suspect in the case after his yellow and white VW T3 Westfalia motorhome was spotted near the Praia da Luz resort in Portugal, where Maddie went missing. He denied he was in the area at the time and distanced himself from the accusations against him.
But German prosecutors say phone records show he received a call on May 3, 2007, near the Ocean Club. Brueckner maintains that he was miles away with a young German woman, whom he insists he had driven to Faro airport.
Last year, he first spoke out about the case, denying allegations that he was involved in her disappearance in a letter seen by MailOnline. He was made official as a suspect in the case in April 2022, he emphasized that he “was not there at the time and that he did not live near the place [of her disappearance].”
Portuguese police named Brueckner as an arguido, or formal suspect, in the case on April 21 last year. It was the first time an official suspect had been identified in Maddie’s disappearance since 2007.
Authorities’ interest in Brueckner was first piqued in 2017 after he allegedly told a drinking buddy that he “knew everything” about what had happened to the girl while they sat in a bar in Portugal ten years after his disappearance.
Now, the police have started a major search in a Portuguese reservoir that the main suspect, Christian Brueckner, used to call his “little paradise”.
Why is he in prison in Germany?
Brueckner is currently in prison for the rape of a 72-year-old American woman in Praia da Luz. He is currently serving a seven-year sentence in Oldenburg prison in northern Germany for the 2005 attack, which took place just 18 months before Maddie’s disappearance.
He was known to break into hotel rooms and apartments in the Algarve to supplement his income from drug dealing. It was said that he had planned to rob the woman’s apartment, but “it moved on to a sexual motive”. He is understood to have 17 convictions against him for various crimes in Germany, including child sexual abuse and theft.
What other cases has she been linked to?
Brueckner has been accused by the German public prosecutor of several sexual crimes that he allegedly committed in Portugal between December 28, 2000, and June 11, 2017. In April 2007, a 10-year-old German girl was allegedly exposed on the beach of Salema, very close to where Madeleine disappeared a month later.
Prosecutors also accused him of raping a woman and two girls, including an Irish citizen identified as Hazel B, who was 20 when she was allegedly attacked in 2004. A spokesman for the Braunschweig prosecutor’s office said: “The defendant is the same person who has been investigated charged in connection with the disappearance of British girl Madeleine Beth McCann, then three years old.
Specifically, the defendant is accused of three crimes of aggravated rape and two crimes of child sexual abuse.
The investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann continues.

MADDIE TWIST Madeleine McCann case breakthrough as ‘most important witness’ WILL testify against Christian B
Helge also revealed that Christian B boasted about being a 'master criminal' after allegedly kidnapping Maddie

A CRUCIAL witness in a child rape case against Christian B - the prime suspect in Maddie McCann's disappearance - will once again testify against him in court.
Christian B's lawyer claimed former pal-turned-police informer Helge B - whose testimony once helped put him away for seven years - was lying about evidence.
Madeleine McCann disappeared in Praia da Luz, Portugal on May 3, 2007Credit: AFP
But German judge has thrown out the claims that Helge was making false statements.
And now Helge, who has been dubbed the most important witness against Christian B, is set to once again prove vital in a case against the convicted rapist next month.
Helge first put cops onto Christian B's case as the prime suspect in Madeleine's disappearance back in 2018.
A source close to the Maddie investigation previously told The Sun that Helge described Christian B's boasts about being a "master criminal" after allegedly snatching her.
He claimed that he had stolen a camera and videotapes showing Christian B raping several women - evidence which helped put him behind bars for the rape of a 72-year-old American woman.
Christian B - who is suspected of having kidnapped and murdered Maddie in 2007 - is now being investigated for other sexual crimes.
But the case - referring to the sexual assault of children - is an important piece of the puzzle in investigating Christian B.
The convicted rapist's lawyer claimed that Helge - dubbed the most important witness in the case against his client - was lying about the tapes.
Helge originally said he probably left the incriminating video tapes in his caravan in Portugal before he left the country.
But last year, while being interviewed about Maddie, he said he may have left them at a holiday home he was living in at the time.
Christian B's defence lawyer Dr. Friedrich Fülscher then reported him to prosecutors for making false statements.
But a judge has since ruled there is no evidence he was lying, meaning Helge is set to testify at the Braunschweig Regional Court in February.
They argue he never claimed to know specifically where he left the tapes, and was just guessing.
Prosecutors also said a false statement would be of no benefit to him, and that he appears to want to find them.
It is also thought that Helge first told other witnesses about the disturbing videos in 2006 - before Maddie was taken.
In June last year, Helge gave his first public comments on Maddie's kidnapping in an interview with Bild.
He revealed the moment that Christian B "confessed" to snatching the little girl.
Speaking about his former pal in the two-hour interview, he revealed how his blood ran cold the day the convicted paedophile told him that "she didn't scream" shortly after Maddie disappeared from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz.
He also described the chilling footage he allegedly saw on a video camera he stole from the suspect.
The petty criminal and burglar said he first met Christian B around the time Maddie vanished from her parents’ holiday home in Praia da Luz in 2007.
He also told Bild at the time how the pair discovered a video showing a tied-up woman "70 or 80 years old" being abused.
"At the end of the video, he sat down on the bed and pulled down the mask. Then I saw that it was B," he said.
After Helge testified to this in court Christian was sentenced to seven years for the rape of a pensioner in 2005 in the Portuguese resort.

After Helge testified to this in court Christian was sentenced to seven years for the rape of a pensioner in 2005 in the Portuguese resort.
Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
There is a fine line in the Translation from the Bild earlier today.
The Witness DID NOT LIE. (U.K. version)
AND
The StA Braunschweig could not find enough evidence to prove that he had LIED. (German version)
Two different things indeed.

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
There is indeed a fine line between "proof that he did not lie" and "not enough proof to charge him for lying". Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Which of course doesn't stop German media from still falling for this nonsense as headlines like this show:Silentscope wrote:There is a fine line in the Translation from the Bild earlier today.

The Bild headline literally translates to "Madeleine witness did not lie". German media are still desperately trying to keep the "CB did it" narrative alive instead of doing any research themselves. This circus has been going on for three and a half years now and still hasn't gotten anywhere.

If it was going to go anywhere- it should have gone somewhere on the first day that Helge B reported it to Operation Grange.

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
Even though DCI Amaral knows that within the bundle of prosecution papers was the statement from the Consultant Gynaecologist stating that no Rape, as defined, had occurred.
But then there is no statement including 'evidence' that an Abduction has occurred either

Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner 'drew sketches of child rape and wrote about abducting a woman and a juvenile', German prosecutor reveals

Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner 'drew sketches' of child rape and wrote about abducting a woman and a minor, a German prosecutor revealed.
German prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters said the evidence came via various sketchbooks and notebooks seized from the 47-year-old suspect.
Mr Wolters said Brueckner's 'work' allegedly included sketches depicting the rape of a child.
Brueckner is currently serving a seven-year prison sentence in Saxony for raping a 72-year-old in Portugal.
The prosecutor said: 'There are a lot of handwritten notes by Christian B.
These are a kind of notebook with some very personal content. They provide insights into the accused's thoughts.'
Adding for the first time publicly: 'The books contain notes and also pictures he painted himself.'
The detailed notepads are called 'Das Buch' and 'Das Buch 1' and describe his sexual fantasies.
This allegedly includes the abduction of a woman and a child - followed by a description of a rape.
Another of his sketches is said to show 'a child being raped'.
Mr Wolters, who is prosecuting Brueckner for five other sex crimes this month in Braunschweig, added: 'The investigation into the Maddie case is ongoing and is also independent of the outcome of the upcoming trial.'
He added that the results of the reservoir search on the Algarve last summer has not yet been completed.
It came after police found a kind of shrine at the Arade reservoir just a few months after the Maddie's disappearance.
Brueckner spent 'considerable time ' at the reservoir and even set up a camp there.
A sinister stone circle was erected at the waters edge, believed to have been by Brueckner.
Last week, Brueckner lost an attempt to have key witness Helge Busching, who lived in Portugal at the time and knew the convicted rapist, struck out of his multiple rape trial next month.
His case was thrown out by German officials and Busching will still give evidence during the trial on February 16.
He denies any involvement in Madeleine's disappearance.

. . . if a narrative is being heavily promoted in the media, odds are that it is a fabrication. A deception.

How very unprofessional of Herr Wolters to give Evidence destined for a major Trial to a Tabloid Journalist.
Unless of course he never really spoke with Jon Clarke? (More likely)

Do we know
Where these sketches were allegedly found?
When these sketches were allegedly found?
Who allegedly found them?
It wasn't his apartment because that was cleared out by his neighbour.
Surely these papers haven't survived 16 years by that dam?
Did he have them on him when he was arrested?

From my own Research these revelations were made by Herr Wolters to an RTL REPORTER not JC. Note the timing.

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
A man who gave information to detectives investigating a gangland killing has been awarded £134,000 in compensation after police mistakenly gave his name to the suspects' lawyers.
In what is thought to be the first case of its kind, the high court in Sheffield ordered Greater Manchester police to pay the damages to Ken Ralphs for failing to keep his identity secret.
Mr Ralphs, 39, and his partner, Hazel Kerrigan, 56, were forced to enter the witness protection programme, adopting new identities and fleeing their home in Stockport, Greater Manchester, after they received death threats written in blood and their fast-food business was petrol bombed. CS gas was sprayed in Mr Ralphs's face and a knife held to his throat.
A former community leader and vice-chairman of the local Hazel Grove Labour party, he gave detectives an individual's mobile phone number in response to a police appeal for information.
He was assured by police his assistance would remain confidential and his identity would not be revealed. But his name openly featured in legal documents.
Mr Ralphs, who now uses another name, said his life had been devastated and called for the resignation of Greater Manchester's chief constable, Michael Todd.
The couple had to move hundreds of miles from their home, their foster son moved abroad because of the attacks and other family members were relocated.
Mr Ralphs added: "No amount of compensation can ever pay for the scar that the police blunder has left on our lives. If citizens cannot rely on the police to protect their anonymity when they are responding to a call for information, then the public will stop helping the police to fight crime.
"A public inquiry should now be established to look into how and why this happened."
He sued Greater Manchester police for negligence, breach of confidentiality and breach of human rights.
The force admitted liability about a month before the case was due to go to trial, but disputed the amount of damages. The award was made by Mr Justice Davis last week but announced yesterday.
