But who would isolate a four year old child in a tent, by the entrance/exit zipper - on her own? I believe Australia is one of the deadliest places on earth in terms of dangerous crawly creepies and other wild life.

I believe there to be strong camaraderie between secteurs of the British and Australian press.

The Australian's are never far behind the British with tales of fake abduction that could be deemed as support for the McCann faction.

Gusmaroli who wrote the wholly invented story about the waterslide [qv. Chapters 20 & 39] published on a date to coincide with the release of the forged Pool Photo went to Australia and got a job on the Telegraph, which is a Murdoch owned red top tabloid there, not a sister to the Daily Telegraph in the UK

Cleo’s voice has been heard on CCTV at the Campsite, confirming her presence there one day before she disappeared.

Witnesses have described a Vehicle seen leaving the Site early that morning. It was seen turning South on the Carnavon road.

If the father had been involved, which is not impossible, what would he have done if he had unzipped the tent, to find not Cleo, but his ex-wife and the new partner? He would need to be sure of what he was doing. He would know the sleeping arrangements only if he had been lurking about and watching them, and he seems to have an alibi.

Ernie Allen was allegedly involved in a number of cases where the child had not really been abducted but was taken out of the country by a parent after the relationship had broken down.

I find it very odd that all the children are labelled Maddie and people like Jim Gamble are suddenly involved. It seems to be the same crowd every time.

No the father is in US, police interviewed him...
But I find it interesting that Mitchell is butting his nose into this case, Is he after trying his career in another country?

I also wonder why she keeps looking at him - Cleo was her daughter, not his. I certainly wouldn't need to keep checking that he approved of what I was saying.

There is a clue when she mentions that she tucked the Sleeping bag under the mattress. This is quite likely what she should have done.

Kids in Adult size sleeping bags can easily slip down inside and then could suffocate, possibly.

I have nearly done it myself as an Adult camping in -22 degrees.

A sinister warning emerged several years ago about the remote campsite where Cleo Smith vanished, as police make a big call in the case

A sinister warning of an attempted abduction emerged more than seven years ago from the remote campsite where Cleo Smith was last seen.

The social media post on a local Carnarvon chat page raised concerns about a child being approached by a man at the Blowholes campsite.

The local said the girl was approached by a “male aged in his late 40s with a beard” and who was driving a “small red car” at the popular coastal campground in July 2014. The girl’s mother said she reported the incident to police at the time.

“ATTENTION PLEASE BE AWARE …” the mother’s post started. “The man asked her if she would get in the car and go for a drive.

“She said no and took off straight back to camp. Sorry I don’t have a better description as she was quite freaked out.

“The police have bn [sic] notified. Good time to remind our precious one [sic] of stranger danger.”

Police believe that Cleo was abducted after she vanished from a tent she shared with her mother Ellie Smith, stepfather Jake Gliddon and baby sister Isla on October 16.

She had woken about 1.30am and her mother gave her a sip of water and she went back to bed. When they woke at about 6am, the tent’s zipper was open to a height the little girl would not be able to reach and she was gone. Her sleeping bag was also missing.

Last week it was revealed by police that up to 20 registered sex offenders live in the Carnarvon area, all of whom have been interviewed by police.

At this stage, police have not named any suspects in the little girl’s disappearance.

Police make big call

West Australian Police searched Cleo’s home for a third time yesterday, and they have now said her [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Acting Police Commissioner Col Blanch said forensic examinations at the Carnarvon home of Ellie Smith and Jake Gliddon was “standard practice” and part of eliminating everyone who was at the Blowholes Campground in Macleod on October 16 as a suspect.

“We must do a thorough investigation,” Mr Blanch told 6PR radio on Wednesday.

“The parents have been nothing but helpful. We’ve worked very closely with them, they’ve let us into their home, they’ve let us into their cars, their phones – everything.

“Our job is to eliminate everyone that was at that campsite, and that is a systematic and thorough approach in doing so in any investigation.

“That really is the focus of the investigation at the moment.”

On Tuesday, detectives and forensic officers scoured through the home for several hours before leaving with two evidence bags.

Ms Smith and Mr Gliddon have also vehemently denied having any involvement in the girl’s disappearance.

“No way – we love our daughter and want her home,” Ms Smith told Seven’s Flashpoint program.

“There is no way that either myself or Jake could have done anything to hurt our daughter. “She’s been taken from our family, from somewhere she’s meant to feel safe.”

Mr Blanch said police were still “very open-minded” with their investigation and they still held hope Cleo would return home safely.

“There’s a massive police team up in Carnarvon, up at the blowholes, still working every day,” he said.

“It’s important we all have hope that we can bring Cleo home.

“The team are focused on finding Cleo, getting the evidence and doing the best we can to solve this and that’s really our priority.”

A major focus of the police investigation revolves around a report from two people who said they saw a car turn right off Blowholes Rd onto North West Coastal Highway, heading towards Carnarvon, between 3am and 3.30am the day Cleo vanished.

The interviewer, just like the interviewers in the William Tyrrell case, are soooo empathetic, sickly sweet. His questions and her answers are like a fifth rate movie script. Slow motion. Not one original question, word, thought. I just can't stand it. It is interesting to note the coverage that I see or read focuses on the police searching the family home and, most recently, leaving the house with at least three big garbage bags (full, I presume). Accompanied by the usual statement about the parents (mum and step-dad) not being inolved (aka suspects). Same line used in the William Tyrrell abduction (sic). Interview questions get better at the end.

I have read and re-read information on the William Tyrrell case, and so far I have not been able to convince myself that he arrived at his foster grandmother's house even though he was caught on CCTV in McDonald's on trip from Sydney to Kendall. Nobody has reported seeing or hearing him at the Kendall house - and the media story always takes his arrival there as a given. Then nothing in what follows negates my theory that he was not there at all or was there but not alive. The four family members were also seen on the road to Kendall, car (SUV) parked beside the road on the gravel, and family members standing outside the car (could well be a toilet stop but ...).

Statements analysts would jump on the foster-mother's descripton about what happened - she told the story to camera as she was walking down the road outside the house - it is all in present tense. Continuous present tense actually.

The media headlines about Cleo being the aussie Madeleine McCann is ridiculous. The McCann case is so multi-layered (and don't we know that on this forum!?) with a cast of millions from UK govt to Freud. The only similarities I have found are the emphasis on the colour of Cleo's PJs (or "sleepsuit') and Madeleine's PJs that apparently didn't go with her, the passive unemotional statements from the respective mothers about Madeleine/Cleo having "been taken", and the number "30" for height of zipper opening on tent and shutter window opening in apartment 5A (I could be wrong about the latter). Mark Mclish reckons that when people with guilty knowledge have to make a quantitative statement, they land on a number with digit 3 in it.

Well of course a former Met detective superintendent (also referred to as a SY detective) would endorse the line of inquiry that Cleo was "snatched like Brit toddler" (Madeleine). After all, Dr Hall worked on the Madeleine case. And very successful he was too -- no solution or a hiddden solution. The Cleo story gives him a reason for laying out the abduction lie again, just in case he had lost any followers. Free advertising of the lie.
