There is no BMS. So it's not Spanish.
Nor is it portuguese.
The Portuguese vehicle registration plate system for automobiles and motorcycles is simple and sequential. The system has no link to geographical locations or similar. It is an incremental numbering system consisting of three groups of two characters, separated by dashes. This system started in 1937 with AA-10-00, which ran out on 29 February 1992. This then went on to 00-01-AA and changed to 00-AA-01 in 2005. This last sequence was exhausted early in 2020, and it was announced on 3 March that it had been replaced by the sequence AA-00-AA.
i have to confess I throw nothing away. The first car we bought when moving to Spain in 2000 has the code 1092 CZ. A Seat.

Discovery + 'Prime Suspect: Madeleine McCann Case' - Episode 1

Narrator: Christian B was born in 1976 in the Bavarian city of Wurzburg but he was given up by his birth mother as a baby.

Voice of "M" Christian B's ex-girlfriend: From what I remember and what he told me, he was in a children's home for a year, then adopted by a foster family.

Narrator: But when his foster father suffered serious injuries in a car accident, Christian B was placed into state care once again.

Ex-girlfriend: And when he was thirteen he went back to the children's home, which I found very sad and not so sad at the same time. If I ended up in a children's home I don't know how I would've reacted.

Obviously in his ‘tireless research’ and his visit to Braunschweig to see Herr Wolters, Jon Clarke forgot to get the BKA to run the registration plate number from his really important ‘Tunnels’ Restaurant in Alcossebre, Spain sighting.

Or ask to see the Photographs taken at the time by the Witness?

Here is a German car number plate. The yellow sticker is for the TÜV or roadworthy test (MOT test). There should be another Sticker under it to show the Road tax has been paid.

B - is from Berlin. BM - Rhein Erft Kreis (Bergheim)

BMS - is not in the known system of Regional number plates.

Jon Clarke is on the Nancy Grace podcasts as an extra guest, talking about his Book.

https://www.crimeonline.com/2021/09/08/crime-stories-with-nancy-grace-20000-images-child-porn-discovered-in-maddie-mccann-kidnap/

He claims Brückner was living half a Mile away when Madeleine disappeared.

Wrong again.

He was with Nicole F in the ‘Secret compound’ in Foral at the time according to the Stenards.  The British owners of his home in PDL had not seen him for ages, and reported him as a missing person because they did not know he was locked up in Prison for the Diesel theft

You ain't kidding!

I've just taken delivery of the 'tirelessly researched' chronicle according to Jon Clarke of the Olive Press.

A very quick flick. the print is very small and there is no spacing between paragraphs.

I need spectacles  specs  to read, they usually serve the purpose excepting for those little screwed-up bits of paper found in boxes of medicament.  I'm finding it difficult to read with ease.

About eight pages of tiny photographs printed on what feels like blotting paper, I'm testing the absorbancy with a mug of coffee coffee .

It fell open at page ten, the first words I see ....' Portuguese TV reporter Sandra Felgueiras, who was then on one of her first assignments for national news network RTP'

Here we go ....

I'm beginning to wish I'd never bothered.

Clearly too miserly to pay to have it professionally finished ready for publication.

It's not like it's even in the bargain basement to reflect the amateur production.

I can't see any reason why anyone would want to see this book banned.

If Jon Clarke traveled around Europe in quest of answers, I don't think he was doing anything he didn't oughta. Who he spoke to, when where and why, I wouldn't know - I wasn't with him. If he has been economic with the truth as regards any of his claimed encounters, then it's up to them to take it up with the Olive Press.

I'm in no doubt Jon Clarke is using this case to promote his 'brand'. I note the book is published by OP (Olive Press), Clarke Media Limited. A quick look tells me there are a number of Clarke Media companies across the board, one is registered in Gibraltar. The Olive Press has a branch in Gibraltar!

There is some interesting comments in Clarke's book about Clarence Mitchell. Mitchell is home sown and home grown, if anyone can incontestably defend his position it will be him - nothing lost in translation!

Jon Clarke, as far as I understand, didn't travel alone - for a start he took along a translator/interpretor, of course! If Jon Clarke is falsifying information gathered en-route, surely his companion would have something to say?

As for team McCann, this is to their advantage as was the Netflix and Discovery+ documentaries. They declined to be involved but still sat back and let it all hang out!

To conclude this Chapter.

Clarke has targeted wholly innocent people throughout his ‘professional’ career, and does so again now in his Superhero quest to be the First to Find Madeleine and Solve the Crime of the Century.
In this First Edition, Clarke bets all on his belief that the perpetrator of whatever happened to Madeleine was one man.
Christian Brückner
I will wait for the Second edition.

Have to say, I admire anyone with the patience to wade through Jon Clarke's book.  Not to say it's not well written in the style of a thriller novel but I can't muster much interest in the claimed life and times of the enigmatic name Christian Brueckner.

Even if he was/is truely involved in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, I can't see how his history has any relevance.  The most important way forward for an investigative journalist would be to start by looking at the evidence and work outwards from there - surely?.  Jon Clarke appears to be working arse about face but never quite making it back to the very beginning.

He was there at the Ocean Club in the beginning, he had first hand access to proceeds at the time and he claims to have been investigating journalistically since.  He therefore must know how the real police investigation was conducted in the early days, he must know there was no evidence to show apartment 5a Ocean Club had been burgled, nor that the missing child had been abducted.  If conducting his private investigation with due diligence he would be watching, listening and talking to everybody he would be seeking out anyone and everyone in the vicinity at the time, even the witnesses that didn't spring forth until later times.  Clarke is more interested in uncovering salacious stories of past love affairs, crimes and dodgy characters who claim to have known the name of Brueckner.  I guess that's what comes of working with seedy tabloids - it's what the avid gossip-monger wants to read.

Rule of thumb for any investigation .... always keep an open mind, weigh-up all the evidence and possible scenarios, no matter how obscure.  Follow the evidence not the money!

The case since May 2007, has attracted so many bogus (undoubtedly paid) witnesses, there's very little merit in the testimonies of stray bodies that appear from the blue with tales to tell of days gone by.  Where were they when the PJ was investigating the case, why didn't they come forward before the last few years?

One thing for sure, whatever Jon Clarke's motive be, solving the case - or even helping to solve the case of Madeleine McCann's disappearance, this book will not do!  From a cursory look, it makes the same mistake every other 'investigation' (aside from the only official investigation, the Portuguese police) has made - and that includes Operation Grange.  It fails to take into consideration the thousands of pages of PJ documentation released into the public domain in the summer of 2008.  Perhaps Mr Clarke was on leave that day.

As already been said, the book is not easy on the eye which makes for a difficult read.  I will however flick through from time to time and mark anything of outstanding interest - don't hold yer breath.

Maybe someone could translate it into Portuguese big grin .

The book is before me as I type.

It's opened at the early pages, there is a bit about Robert Murat, his German (that word again) girlfriend, his Russian business associate and his mother, Jenny Murat.

This is all widely known information to those who have followed the case since the beginning. A few flicks away, he is quoting from Kate McCann's autobiographical novel.

Without going into too much detail, Jon Clarke appears to be making a collage of information gathered from various sources and presenting them in the form of a book of his own exploits.

I call that cheating!

I've just seen, he wasn't surprised to get a call from the Sunday Mirror, praising him for all his good work and asking him to get back to the scene of crime without delay.

Mr Clarke appears to be a trifle conceited - not an admirable characteristic.

Super - well done that Gal!

Strange how Clarke missed that in his ‘tireless research’? The Press reports that it was not known what the results of the ‘Red Alert’ were are now well and truly busted!

It seems the Olive press have distribution points in Alcossebre, which also has a large British expatriate community. So it would not be unknown to Clarke. His ‘credible sighting’ can now go in the bin.

If that number plate designation had been transposed at some time, either maliciously by the owner/driver or lost in translation in the files (not sure if there is an image of it ?), 1049 BMS would make it a regular Spanish number plate.........albeit I don't believe BMS is an accepted Spain area code.
Or was it simply a fake plate ?

Bild should send Kai Feldhaus straight to Berlin for this report!

I doubt it will make the British Press or Sky news somehow?
