So... 13 people at the prayer vigil, and six of them are Kate, Gerry and the twins, the person taking pictures and the priest / minister who is nearly out of frame but they're all looking at him.
Huge turnout.

A vigil? Frankly they're damn lucky it wasn't a vigil'ante - they really are tempting providence by taunting the public.

Yes so few turned up for prayers for Madeleine, and if those two children were in fact the twins, they had to experience it.

There is the possibility that the parents and the wider family had a private get-together - perhaps in a Catholic church with a special mass - to avoid being photographed.

Poor twins, they will forever be defined by the disappearance of their sister, Madeleine.

Maybe LIR, but I think it would have been good to have seen a photo with their families surrounding them and giving them support. Maybe there is a photo out there which we haven't seen.

VIGIL : n. a period of keeping awake during the time usually spent asleep, especially to keep watch or pray.

Yesterday a group went to the High Court in England to seek permission to hold a VIGIL, to mark the death of a young woman, murdered as she walked home a week ago.

The vigil is allegedly to honour the dead woman, Sarah Everard.
They have been refused permission, so instead are going to light votive candles.

Can we recall any other event involving "keeping vigil" and a candle ?
"I felt Madeleine’s terror, and I had to keep vigil with her."

I tried going outside last night to kneel in homage to a violent drug-addled criminal in the USA and to recognise the Marxist anti-police and anti-family group who represent him, and to clap at the same time for the NHS who gave Capt. Sir Tim COVID and killed him, but the candle I was holding set fire to the green and yellow ribbons I was wearing.
