It wasn't just a journalist on her own though, she had a cameraman with her taking a recording of Sonia doorstepping Kate and then another cameraman taking a recording of Sonia and the cameraman doorstepping Kate! So at least three people were there. There's a window next to the front door where Kate could see those three people, two with cameras, before opening the door. Plus there would have been a big van outside. You can't tell me she didn't look out of that side window and see a big burly man with a big burly camera on his shoulder wearing headphones. Knowing how Kate will only answer pre-scripted questions I can't imagine she would open the door to that lot! Why did there need to be a cameraman taking a recording of another cameraman?

And how did Sonia and the two cameramen know she was even in anyway? Was it really an opportunist doorstepping? And if so, I wonder how far they would have to travel for a disappointing no-show? And if it was a no-show what would they do then? Go back to wherever it was they travelled from, or go and doorstep someone else?
If it was an opportunist doorstepping, after Kate had told the world how suicidal she'd felt in the past then it was a horrible thing to do after another doorstepping pushed a vulnerable woman to suicide not far from where Kate herself lives. It was also horrible to just turn up on a doorstep knowing there could be two young children indoors who would ask awkward questions afterwards. They may not have been at school, Kate may have been at home looking after two ill children.
Kate may be subject to scrutiny, but she will still be feeling stressful about the situation she finds herself in, but those twins most definitely are NOT subject to scrutiny and should NOT be subject to a random doorstepping! How did Sonia know one of the twins wouldn't open the door? Was that just a risk she was willing to take? Anyone who condones that sort of behaviour from Sonia is not right in the head imo.

Or was it all done by appointment with the fresh green and yellow campaign ribbons placed prominently either side of the front door?

Sonia at all times says things which we can agree on! Thats the way it works. When she enrolled Cristobel it was supposed to get a view from the other side.....this certainly didnt happen....and the article was a sham in which the pro Madeleines (as opposed to "anti" McCanns) most certainly got burned!! So forgive me for my paranoia ......but apart from her words....her fully fledged actions that we have before us does not fill me with any hope of a balanced view. As for the hags, they are gone are they not....do we have to toe a line on Sonia .....or are we allowed to vent genuine feelings on the subject? Lets hope she is a Joan of Arc and not simply a self publicist... but i do have my doubts.

They will not stop their inquiry until they have conclusively established what happened to her, insiders said.

A source said: ‘‘The detectives are trying with as much energy as they did when Operation Grange started in 2011 to see this through and find her.

“That is all they can do. Their view on how long that will take is that it will only be finished when it is finished. They still have work to do and while that is the case they will carry on.

It emerged last week that senior Yard officers are considering a further request for six months of financial support from the Home Office, even though current funding does not run out until the end of next month.

Policing minister Mike Penning is expected to agree to further funding, costing around £90,000, but as he is relatively new in the job sources suggest he wants to know specific details of where the investigation is going and how close the Yard is to solving the mystery.

Mr Penning’s predecessor, Brandon Lewis, was fully supportive of the Yard’s efforts and was well briefed on the case, but senior officers know they are now dealing with a new minister and will have to give a fuller account of how the Home Office’s £11million has been spent so far and why more money is needed.

While the funding issue will be addressed in the coming weeks, sources say Kate and Gerry McCann are impressed by the continued commitment of the Yard team, headed by Detective Chief Superintendent Nicola Wall.

“There is no sense of wanting to throw in the towel.”

The team of four detectives working on Operation Grange have painstakingly probed a variety of theories, including the possibility that Madeleine was taken from her holiday apartment on May 3, 2007 at Praia da Luz on the Algarve when a burglary went wrong.

At the time of the tenth anniversary of Madeleine’s disappearance last May, Scotland Yard announced they had stopped their investigation into Portuguese burglary suspects as they “did not find any evidence to further implicate the individuals in the disappearance”.

Earlier this year the Sunday Express reported that detectives were urgently seeking a woman who, it was felt, had important information on the case. Scotland Yard have said they will not comment on specific lines of inquiry or give a running commentary on what work they are doing.

The lines of inquiry being pursued now have become more complicated than at first thought, which is causing delays and some frustration.

Madeleine, who was nearly four when she vanished without trace from her family’s rented holiday apartment, would now be 14.

A spokesman for the McCann family said: “The fact that the police feel there is still work to be done which needs funding is very encouraging. They remain grateful to all the officers in the investigation.”

Scotland Yard said: “Funding is in place until the end of September. Any details about future funding will be released when appropriate.”

The Home Office said any further funding request will be “considered carefully”.

Meanwhile freelance journalist Sonia Poulton is looking for a TV firm to broadcast a documentary she has made on the case.

She said: “I have been working with a production company and we have been to Portugal and spoken with many people.”

I might be a bit more convinced if only the reasons offered to excuse the delay in final production were consistent.  As I've said before, if the subject is taboo in UK mainstream media (and it would appear now off-beat fringe productions), why not take it out of the UK?  Either that or YouTube -let's face it, as a one man band it's hardly likely to be a top quality professional production is it?  If the main casting is anything to go by, it won't even attract any Oscar nominations let alone awards.

Operation Mañana (aka The SP Doc), was never going to grace our TV screens. She would already have known that like the rest of the planet.
As for the doorstepping, well, I imagine even Indiana Jones would never have made it from the Rothley Tower gates to the Port Cullis, not without being pierced by several poison-tipped darts and pursued by a giant rolling boulder. I bet the local postman has to go through an airport metal detector and a full strip search, first. My bull**** antenna shot up like 'My Favourite Martian' when I saw that.

I understand Japan has a 'good quality' theatrical outlet known as Noh-kyōgen.  Second thoughts, no need to travel across the continents, Brighton has an  open air theatre fringe group - just have a word with the local aspiring Tory candidate, he's always willing for a shilling.

...which was published on 13 October 2014, days after Brenda Leyland's suicide.

The video was produced by one of Sonia Poulton's two cameramen, both of who, together with Sonia Poulton, marched on to the McCanns' property, with Kate McCann obligingly opening her front door to them.  

The first part of the video is simply a showing of the Goncalo Amaral documentary.

Then, at 51 mins 30 secs, we get cameraman Alan Taylor-Shearer introducing another cameraman, Dave Eden. The two of them used to operate under such titles as 'Community Press Group' or 'Awake Radio' and 'Live Pulse News'. They all seem to have since sunk without trace years ago.

Just after that, we get Sonia Poulton speaking for about 4 minutes (52 mins to 56 mins) in which she promises multiple sensational disclosures about the death of Brenda Leyland and the Madeleine McCann case. This interview with her was on Friday 10 October - so not quite three years ago.

In a clip right at the end (starts at 1 hr 59 mins 40 secs), we hear Dave Eden and Alan Taylor-Shearer promising that Poulton's much-vaunted documentary will be published 'in the next 2 weeks'. So far, we've been waiting 150 weeks.

By the way, this two-hour video has had 160 views over the past three years - a rate of one new view per week.

Precisely. As I mentioned, owing to her dalliances with the likes of Birch and Hutton, most informed people's reaction, after they've stopped laughing, is to confine anything she says, or does, to McRoom 101.

The leading question which so far remains unanswered - why incite hatred and publicly attack a very large group of genuine justice seekers i.e. CMoMM?  Trolls?  Really Ms Poulton - trolls?
Especially when there's a plethora of actual trolls out there to sling arrows at.
