Top photo looks like not a care in the world, quite telling from the pensive troubled look in 2007- and what's that with the "bent " nose?

Well that's effectively what Fiona & Kate said in the immediate aftermath - had there been an accident, they wouldn't need an A&E because of Russell & the other medical expertise. A little red flag but a red flag all the same.

What, did they have medical equipment packed in the trunk in case of emergency - or was it all down to laying-on of hands?Rogue-a-Tory wrote:HelenMeg wrote:he would have been a good first port of call if help needed in an emergency.

and maybe an extra toothbrush
Yes, he looks pretty happy with himself these days. I still wonder, which members of Tapas 9 know the whole truth and whether any of them were kept in the dark...
They've had 9 years to tell the truth. I think that MO was careful to tell no outright lies in his statements and for that reason is able to justify to himself that he can hold his head up - but the whole truth
was certainly avoided.
Some of them (JT ETC) came out to do the Channel 4 mockumentary guided by the Private Detectives hired by Team M c Cann. Anything in that mock-up was obviously designed to divert/ distract therefore
it is quite useful to see what they wanted us to believe happened.
I find it hard to understand how the lot of them find it apparently easy to live with such an evasion of truth, and to have allowed a 10 mill police investigation to take place. Stillo, confident the truth will out at some stage and heads will hang in shame.

Re: Tapas 9 Russel O'Brien
Bit more classic Russell from his rog:
‘….the children stayed with us and ate their tea at the bar by the beach called the Paridiso. Everyone was there at the beach except Kate, Gerry and their kids. I collected Ella from the Ocean Club before she went up to tea at the Tapas Bar, I cannot say whether Madeleine was there or not.’
Must have been so difficult to tell. There were four kids in the crèche that afternoon allegedly, MM, Ella & two boys.

One of my main theroies is that Maddie suffered from a disease which had no cure and these doctors were on this trip to test an unproven(illegal?) drug with the hope to cure her, but with the risk of serious complications.
Amaral said that she could have an disease and he told us that a witness who has been in McCann's house had seen some kind of papers that could indicate this and PJ didn't get access to her medical records.

If successful, a breakthrough drug could bring in a lot of money for the people who make investments into it.
Sorry,it was a Police officer, "witness" was not the right word.

"One of the police officers who went to the McCanns' home in England, reported that a medical monitoring chart for Madeleine was posted in the kitchen."

Stand to be corrected. I wonder what actual evidence they have of that, if true? Photocopy? Video?

Re: Tapas 9 Russel O'Brien
Why would he NOT be living with a degree of comfort when this trip is *seemingly* so overlooked in the files?
Also note same day - a matter of hours before (few enough that it is possible he was also on the journey) Matthew Oldfield makes his one and only ping West of Luz
(note my maps are utilising accurate phone mast locations - for sake of coherence, I did not include every single tower, only the relevant ones).
Note also, Russell calls Gerry on May 7th at 22:34 (for 2 mins 51 secs). Prior to this his only phone correspondence was on the 5th at 19:45, for 59 secs. Available phone records have it that this was an unusual (ie isolated) call.
...The May 7th call from Russell is often confused with the 12 mins 34 secs call on June 10th from David Payne... the reason for this mistake (which comes from interpretation of files, not the files themselves) is the location of the ping in question, and the proximity of that call to the date of the 'De Telegraaf search'. We know for a fact that DP never pinged in this area (at best we have an Aljezur parish ping from Fiona's phone in July). What we do know is that we have a ping from Russell in that area on the 7th, and that the same area (according to my findings with cell towers above) is where the 'bloody blanket', mooted in press to match MBM originally but later omitted from files - is discovered.
The later search of Barragem de Arade (some 30km East of Bravura as the crow flies for whatever it is worth) was later proven to be a Metodo 3 farce - coincidence of venue?
Officially the De Telegraaf matters commenced June 13th. Gerry makes bizarre references to 'sea bass' on the 8th, and is in constant phone contact with a cardiologist friend 'AB' in the Netherlands (no less!) in days and weeks before, contact which persisted and peaked on June 13th, when he also called another employee 'RN' of the VUmc Amsterdam via switchboard. Note there followed an almost complete cessation of contact with AB, save for the end of the month (last contacts afterwards single calls June 27, 28 and 29th), then nothing on record.
Given all of the above, whether the items in said areas were linked directly to Madeleine or not, can/should Russell really feel like the monkey is off his back?
Complicit, duped or irrelevant?

Thank you for the info, the "blood stained blanket " was that the one by or in an old barn?
Very odd.
I don't think any of them should feel they have the "monkey off their backs" but I think they do rather, due to how the past 9 years have gone particularly with OG!
The "untouchables" ?
Madeleine bless her is way down the list!

What if the "paedophilia" shout out is a ruse?
What if the "it's a disaster" (Gerry McCann) was a "medical/drug/something along those lines, test? gone horrifically wrong & Madeleine paid the price?
A good reason why no "autopsy" could be performed?
My own thoughts and opinions!

I posted yesterday on,Russell describing a different layout of the apartment when giving the description of the apartment he had visited during the holiday, with regard to Madeleine's holiday, disappearance 3 May 2007?
Do people have the proof, that the McCann's,were allocated 5a and stayed in that apartment for the entire duration of their Holiday 28 April -05 May 2007,that at No time during the vacation with the Payne Family,Swapped apartments 5h?
The cleaner and her daughter, remember seeing the children from the McCann family going up to a different apartment for Lunch, early on in the Holiday,5h?
In regard to the Phone pings and the Tapas Group, why would Russell,Mathew be searching so wide an area in Portugal within the first five days, especially after alerting the relevant authorities,Interpol?

Re: Tapas 9 Russel O'Brien
I'm not sure if they swapped or not, but they were seen, yes, carrying plates/bread walking up the stairs so presumably to 5h ( as T9 said they all lunched there as it was a bigger apartment) and the cleaner described the shoes with lights on to a T! So I believe the cleaners statement although forget the date she saw them.willowthewisp wrote:I posted yesterday on,Russell describing a different layout of the apartment when giving the description of the apartment he had visited during the holiday, with regard to Madeleine's holiday, disappearance 3 May 2007?

The phone pings are confusing, I studied them a number of months ago and then gave up as couldn't make head nor tail so not sure I can offer anything to your last question, other than were they searching? Or was it for something else?

I found this interesting;

Reply “Absolutely normal, erm you know, there was no, there was no suggestion that anything untoward had happened and they were concealing it, there’s you know I, I just find it staggering that anyone could believe that, that something tragic could have happened in the room and that a pair of highly able, highly qualified Doctors would rather cover it up, just dispose of any evidence and then swimmingly come down to dinner, you know particularly when, if there, if there had been an accident or something terrible, they’ve got four other Consultants or Senior Doctors within a, you know, you know on the tennis courts or within a short shout
http://mccannpjfiles.co.uk/PJ/RUSSELL-OBRIEN_ROGATORY.htm
Has anyone seen anything in the files, the media or elsewhere suggesting that ''something tragic'' happened at the time when the parents were in the apartment and four other doctors were on the tennis courts?

Re: Tapas 9 Russel O'Brien
I'm not sure we can read very much into this. I think the reference to the 'four doctors' is to the McCanns' Tapas friend-doctors, and he is just saying that if there had been an accident in the McCanns' apartment, their friends might have been playing tennis, or were somewhere around or contactable.G-Unit wrote:I found this interesting;

The two words that did strike me from his answer, however, were: 'an accident or something terrible...'

The questions being asked are about 3rd May. They were included at the request of the McCanns. I can only assume, therefore that Russell was referring to early evening on 3rd May. The interviewer said this after Russell's outburst;worriedmum wrote:Good point G unit-

1578 “Let’s not forget these are Gerry and Kate’s questions.”
Why did Detective Constable Gierc feel the need to say that, I wonder? Did s/he feel that Russell's answer wasn't as helpful to Gerry and Kate as it could have been?
