Anyone remember the McCann charity bash hosted by Tricky Dicky Branson's exclusive Kensington roof top gardens in London?

The charity bash that, despite all the hype, was never televised or videoed - for all intents and purposes, judging by the limited event footage, it could well have happened in some obscure doorway of no fixed abode. See here..

I have to agree that some of the social media attacks are beyond the pale. Only a couple of days ago I saw a disgraceful tweet by a prolific so called campaigner, carrying a message for another, who claims to have direct contact with the Metropolitan Police, the Portuguese Police, the media, and just about anyone else one could conjure to effect inside knowledge winkwink

.

By all means work on documented evidence but to speculate on salacious gossip is unacceptable by any decent humanitarian standard. This person attracts a large following of admirers despite the absence of evidence to support the claims.

A lesson to be learned - never ever listen to what anybody says without checking the facts for yourself. This is dangerous territory.

This clip from the RTE interview is intriguing for several reasons.

Firstly, Kate has TWO 'gusts of wind '

Secondly, she KNOWS she's been taken, but goes to the window'not knowing what she might find'. Isn't that rather an odd thing to say if you are actively looking for one thing, ie your daughter?

Thirdly, why would your child be 'cowering in a cupboard'?

Lastly,is there any significance in the fact that Kate says she was in a house, then corrects it to apartment?

Don't let imagination carry you away. Listen again, he doesn't say this.

Instead of finding complications, look at the human relationships played out in that clip. You don't need to catch the exact words, just the tone will tell you there is real hostility from Dr McCann towards Dr Payne, and KM is quick to jump to DP's defence. Ask yourself what circumstance fits this unseemly confrontation, and "Gerry being Gerry" doesn't cut it. If such was his everyday demeanor why would anyone take him on holiday? (Or marry him.)

You think he looks tense and anxious, I think he looks pugnacious. I see him mouthing, "Wanker". Posters have said Gerry McCann is a surly character yet why not keep his thoughts to himself and give a smile and a wave like the others? Why swear, and why the challenging retort? Being "frazzled" is no excuse as Summers & Swan offered up in their book.

Dr Payne's old pal Gerry is not about to "cheer up", so the question is: Why? I don't believe they are off to a medical conference, and I don't think (by his remarks) that anything is being planned. From the conversation going on around them, I also don't think they are booked for a 'family' holiday.

I would like to know whose camera Payne is using, and who posted the video. It reveals more than was surely intended.

With such a shortage of fact to work on I think there is a tendency to look for things that aren't there.

I've seen a question mark over why this video footage ever existed - well, it's the sort of thing folk do when going on holiday, they take photographs and video footage of anything and everything, especially when it's the kids.

Funny that - the McCanns didn't do that did they thinking

This video footage is a non-starter, the quality is naff and it's impossible to be sure of what Gerry McCann actually said - let alone what he might have meant. Whatever, if he did say he's not there to enjoy himself, it counts for nothing. He's a gruff ruff Glaswegian traveling with a group of excitable kids and his buddies, don't expect finesse.
