I should have said looking cool calm collected and very casual !!!

Aside from that, going over old ground again and again and again, the Huelva trip really is a mystery. Despite their claims about being watched by the media night and day, the media did not follow them to Huelva, they were alone in a hired Renault Scenic with Jon Corner and his camera. There is a lost hour or two during this trip - they went across the border to Spain in order to engage with the public and hand out posters; why did they choose a public holiday and why didn't they use some officialdom to add clout to the visit - like they did for the European/North African tour?

They were astonished that hardly anyone had ever heard of Madeleine - why should they? What difference did it make to the official investigation or the unofficial search, handing out posters of Madeleine in Huelva? The entire country of Spain, why did they think Huelva might be significant?

The trip coincidentally coincided with the arrival of the PJ and Eddie and Keela, they had a machine load of wet washing, Gerald had a dicky belly which apparently delayed their trip overnight - next day off they drive into the sunset, a few thousand miles clocked up and a few publicity shots courtesy of Jon Corner.

That visit to Huelva I believe has deep significance, not just a diversion - they could have gone anywhere if it where only a diversion.

It must be remembered that this was not 4 months from Madeleine's disappearance and here we have an "ordinary" father from a "normal" family taking time out, from looking for his daughter (really ?) to attend a media event talking as if he's a consummate professional and looking as smug as can be.

Using Fund money to employ a campaign manager for the medium or long term (if necessary).

Very much like the strategy used by Missing People, who advertise for highly paid paper shufflers, and a host of admin staff, but never advertise for anyone with skills in searching for people.

OK, McCann added "if necessary" but to me he comes across as somebody planning for the long term. Let's face it, if you were an experienced professional in running a campaign, why would you work full time for this fund, because if Madeleine turned up alive and well in the next five minutes, you are out of a job.

Every time I hear this Gamble geezer I want to puke. He has bypassed the most obvious evidence in favour of promoting his own business which supposedly involves the protection of children? Never never never forget that the abuse of children in the vast majority of cases comes from within their own family. Not from online sources.

What got to me was poor Amelie crying because she had got something, I think a doll, caught in her hair, and Kate is so intent on sticking to the script that Amelie's wails go right over her head. It is Gerry on entry who notices the cries for help.
