Operation Grange will get nowhere until it questions the mccanns, the tapas 7 and even clarence mitchell.

All need to be arrested at the exact same time and then removed to separate police stations and all questioned simultaneously with no physical referring to previous statements or notes taken elsewhere, either their own or that of other members of the group.

After 10 plus years there has still been not one iota of physical evidence to indicate an abduction of Maddie by a stranger or someone known to the group.
The only evidence offered to prove abduction  are statements from the parents, the tapas 7 and clarrie.

Since there is not one atom of physical evidence for abduction yet there is physical evidence indicating the presence of  body fluids in both the apartment and hire car, physical evidence showing the reactions of blood and cadaver dogs to the apartment, the hire car, items of clothing including a child's red t shirt and the infamous cuddlecat then there is sufficient evidence to indicate that there was the presence of corpse in apartment 5a that had been deceased for a minimum of 90 mins which, given the claims of the mccanns and chums that they had been checking every 30 mins, means they had at least two opportunities to notice either Maddie dead, or Maddie dying.
Maddie was in contact with a child's red t shirt, possibly by wearing it when she died, which was then subsequently removed and the body either dressed in the alleged pyjamas she was supposedly wearing when allegedly abducted or, her body was unclothed and then disposed of, which could then be blamed on the paedophile abductor had the body been found shortly after the alleged abduction and Maddie was in close contact with cuddlecat when she died and lay in situ or cuddle cat came into contact sometime after Maddie had died and was found dead and perhaps offered as a temporary comforter until disposal (something a mother would perhaps do)

As well as such physical evidence as mentioned above, there are also the spoken and written statements from the mccanns indicating Maddie was dead and they knew and then disposed of her body.
The statements from the tapas 7 indicating they knew or suspected Maddie was dead and they played some part in the discovery, disposal and subsequent cover up, filed a false police report by making the 911 call, aided and abetted the offender(s) by lying about the alleged checks, tanner i am looking at you and oldfield who seemed to be describing a totally different apartment to 5a, obstructed or perverted the course of justice and then committed fraud on various media.

Statements from clarrie which indicates he knows Maddie is dead, possibly to knowing or thinking who, how, why or where she is (which would then bring about questions as to why he has not spoken to police about what he knows. Does he have skeletons in his closet?)

If he knows Maddie is dead either from direct admissions from the mccanns and chums, listening to what they actually say as well as noting their unexpected behavior and concluding Maddie is dead or, based on the passage of time and statistics and noting what everyone was doing and saying in those early days and then he fails to tell police his knowledge or impressions that would surely make him an accomplice, at least to obstruction or perverting the course of justice.

We then have the fund, which is a case that the UK police can and should investigate and prosecute the mccanns and clarrie for.
Based on a lie, obtaining money by deception, obtaining goods and services by deception, wire fraud and so on.

Since they also appealed for donations world wide both offline and online they may also face fraud charges from countries such as the USA who do not like wire fraud (plus the Oprah interview)
Clarrie  would also face charges since he encouraged donations, who could forget him announcing on TV for the public to put money in an envelope and address it to kate and gerry and it would get there.
This also makes me wonder how much money was sent that way as cash?
Was every penny declared and accounted for?

The mccanns seem to have not realized that once a crime is done, it cannot be undone.
Cold cases are reviewed frequently and, combined with advances in science and technology, what could not be identified to day could be the nail in their coffin tomorrow.
Friendships change over time as well, best buddies today can become worst enemies tomorrow.
Bearers of secrets today can speak out tomorrow through fear, guilt, anger or revenge.
When confronted they could reveal all they know to avoid punishment either plea deal to a lesser sentence or immunity, to make sure they don't go down alone or to make sure their dead sister gets the justice she deserves.
This applies to both friends, families, advisers and supporters as well as spouses and even children who may have witnessed something they now remember, overheard what happened during that week, during the time spent in Portugal or subsequently at home, perhaps if their parents argued, especially if they lost in court to Dr.Amaral and they had a tantrum.

A secret is only a secret if no one knows about it.
If two people know then it is not a secret and the truth of the lie will be uncovered for the world to see.

I think we as taxpayers should demand to know why OG has not done the basic policing as far as the parents and friends are concerned.

IIRC (apologies for commenting on an information only thread) but wasn't it the same interview where Kate revealed (I could be wrong) that she left the twins in the car at a local garage to pay for petrol and they were laughing and waving (summat like that) through the windows at her whilst she was worried.

Dear, Dear Lord, I pray that there is someone with the guts, the nous, the conscience and the influence to stand up for Madeleine McCann because there is little hope for society if this travesty continues.
