Kate thinks Madeleine never left Portugal and thinks a third age-progression image would help to find her
The McCanns may have a new age-progression image of missing Madeleine created.
Mum Kate fears no one will be able to recognise Madeleine, who would turn 13 next month.
The move comes as the British police hunt for her is winding up.
There were images of Madeleine in 2009 as a six-year-old and in 2012 when she would have turned nine.

A friend of the couple said: “It’s lengthy and costly but they are thinking about doing it again on advice from US forensic scientists.
“No one thought Madeleine would be missing so long and sometimes Kate worries the public won’t recognise her.”

On Tuesday it will be nine years since Madeleine vanished from the family’s Portuguese holiday apartment in Praia da Luz. The friend said: “Nine years is a long time. The only real tell-tale sign is the distinctive blemish in her right eye.”
Kate, 48, thinks Madeleine never left Portugal. Age progression experts believe Maddie’s face would be fuller, her jawline more defined and her nose more elongated and wider. They think her hair, and skin if she has been in a hot country, would be darker.

Britain’s top cop Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe has revealed the five-year, £12million Operation Grange is set to finish “within months” after a final line of enquiry is pursued.
The McCanns have pledged to carry on and fund the search when the police hunt finally ends.

Distinctive? I thought the McCann's said it was hardly noticeable. The Daily Star are back to 'burglars' on their front page tomorrow.

Hair lightens in colour in the sun usually.

This would be the weird £750k left in the No Stone Unturned Limited company.
This would be the weird £750k that is apparently earmarked to continue the search for Madeleine when Operation Grange closes.
This would be the weird £750k that.....

"The only real tell-tale sign is the distinctive blemish in her right eye.”

MORGAN: Madeleine had a very distinctive eye pattern, didn't she? Tell me about that, Kate, in case people see somebody they think may be Madeleine. Tell me about her eye.
K. MCCANN: If I'm honest, we haven't put too much emphasis on her eye, because I think you have to be very close to her to see it. But her eyes are slightly different colors, and one of them has this brown fleck in it. But you do notice, particularly on photographs, but --
MORGAN: Slightly distinctive eye colors and a little fleck.
MORGAN: And do you know if that would be still there if she's now eight years old?
G. MCCANN: Certainly believe it wouldn't have changed. I think there's been a pattern to be still there. That it's -- the technical term is coloboma, where there's a defect in the iris. I don't think it is actually. I think it's actually an additional bit of color. She certainly had no visual problems.
--------------------------------------
SO, how 'very close' to Madeleine would one have to be to 'see' the DISTINCTIVE 'blemish'?
Probably best to take 'a photograph' first to be able to see 'it'!
-----------------------------------------------
10th February 2010.
GM: "Where... where, you know... where is... where... where is... where is... where is the child? We're looking for that evidence. Where is the child? What OTHER 'explanation' can explain how she's not here.?"
Well, since you have asked me, publicly, Ge££y..................
