Happy New Year Tone, I fully expect your FOI to be fobbed off.
I am always pleased to see you upset the 'apple cart'.
You are a real thorn in their side.
Cheers.

True Tone. It appears that MBM pre and post her 'vacation' was surrounded by 'bad' apples.Tony Bennett wrote:IKNOWWHATHAPPENED wrote:Happy New Year Tone, I fully expect your FOI to be fobbed off.

The ego and vanity of some will be their undoing. Either that or they will have an 'accident' at the hands of the special services.
Hi Katie, Hi wee man. I know you read the forums.

You could always ask The Sun to ask the questions. It seems it costs less to answer their questions, beneath the financial limit get out clause, even if the questions asked are substantially the same!

Please be respectful in your language on the forum, even to Carter-Ruck.
I've not heard from either of them since I sent them details of the monthy standing order from my bank to pay Carter-Ruck £125 no later than the 25th of each calendar month, until May 2023

and to think they used Maddie's fund to make mortgage repayments on their home, yet threatened Tony with bankruptcy and loss of his home.
Come on Madam Judge (Libel Hearing). A resounding win for Rocky Amaral is needed IMO.

Re: FOI Act questions to the Met and the Mayor of London's office about Operation Grange
Pretty straight forward questions.
MET may not see the significance of the questions but no reason why they cant reply to those questions.
Those to the Mayors should be forthcoming I should think within time frame.

Neither the Met FOI Act officers nor the Mayor of London's FOI Act officers have been able to fulfil the statutory limit of 20 working days for filing a reply to my questions. The limit expired yesterday.

So what happens now. You get to go round and bang heads together? They get summarily fired? A big Monty Python style boot slams down upon them? Or.... nothing?
What's the next step?

One is patient.
One sends them a reminder.
One sends them another reminder.
One writes to the Information Commissioner in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
S/he writes to the Met and reminds them.
You continue to be patient

Something along the line of Justice delayed is `Justice denied.
Is there no obligation to reply for these authorities? What if they just ignore the FOI requests put to them?

10th February 2014 – DECISION
Section 14 (1) - Vexatious or repeated requests
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act) I have decided to refuse your request as it has been deemed as a vexatious request.
Vexatious Tony. Surely not.
So they can avoid answering anything which they think might cost too much to reply to or now that ‘causes or tends to cause annoyance’.
Subjective carte blanche to not reply to anything it seems.
What was it the Grange Remit said?
‘The ‘investigative review’ will be conducted with transparency, openness and thoroughness’.
We’ve seen a lot of that up to now!

Vexatious Requests
Yet this was absolutely fine apparently. It causes annoyance to me!
‘Nearly a quarter of all UFO sightings reported to police in England and Wales last year were made in Essex, the Sun on Sunday reports.
According to a Freedom of Information request by the paper, seven out of 31 sightings were made in the county’.
Yet again ‘one rule for the Sun’ it seems, in the vain hope that there might be a 'Freddy Starr ate my Hampster' headline type of story somewhere down the line.
I wonder how many FOI requests they wack in on a daily basis.
