There have been other occasions when the pros have crowed over alleged events in Lisbon only to have to wind their necks after the whole picture emerged and this would appear to be yet another such event.

Plebgate, I think you may have misinterpreted Brunt's tweet. The way I am reading it is, that Brunt is saying that the McCann's claim that Port police stopped looking for Madeleine after the book was published, wasn't proven

IMO she was MINIMISING this claim. Not denying the possibility of negative emotions that the book caused, but rather they were there already and the book added to them thus, IMO not attributing the feelings ORIGIN as being the book if that makes sense

Yes, agree again SmokeandM. The judge reportedly said that they did have the negative feelings but along the lines that this was normal. IMO that would greatly reduce or void any pay out?

Exactly, this was already the outcome of the previous Court of Appeal in favor of Goncalo Amaral, and i wouldn't think the Judge in this latest hearing would overrule on that decision, as this judgement was fully upheld by the Supreme Court of Portugal in March 2011.
