This from the article in Daily Mail today..................

They claim it could take a further three years to sift through the material, but Met commissioner Bernard Hogan-Howe has stressed there is no limit on the amount of time and manpower he is prepared to lavish on the case.

So far 14 pro but Giovanni got 184 red arrows and nearly all pros are heavily red arrowed.
13 pro Maddie and mention Ben Needham. Also twice why no up to date picture. I like it!

Checking just now, that comment is the worst rated with 187 red arrows. There aren't many pro comments that I can see. How long will it be before the comments get whoosed?

I get the impression that the McCanns have overdone it this time and that people are fed up with them. Still, as one commentator mentions, at least it's giving attention to Ben Needham.

If 4-year is needed to do a review, it is indeed unprecedented in the history of a missing child.
And for that matter history of review of any sort. Can anyone think of a review that takes as long as that?

I think someone is taking the piss. I will be really surprised if this review is not concluded before this year is out.

I still cant work out why AR commented on it the way he did thus far. The timing is so suspect considering impending libel trial.

Well, this has been a joke for so long...So sad.
Three years more??!! With more than 30 people doing the review?... Or pretending to do a review? For sure it's unprecedented, like everything about this case. This case just needs to be resolved one way or the other.

He said he thought she could be alive somewhere, and presumably this thought was based on something. Amongst the 195 leads perchance? If you are prepared to make a statement to the world, Mr Redwood, implying you actually know something, it would be a good idea to get a shifty on, track down the swarthy foreigners who marched Madeleine off to the hellish lair in which she dwells 5 years on, rescue her and save the tax payers of this country a few million. We are in austere times Mr R, we're all in it together you know (not the hellish cave on a lawless hill, obviously, it would be a bit cramped), so best get on with what you're doing quickly and quietly old chap.

I don't think the British public could cope with another three years of fun runs and wider agendas or silly stories about Madeleine being spotted by attention seekers whilst on her world tour.

It's an industry now! The only growth factor in the UK - will it get Britain back into the black?

Smokeandmirrors, I so hope you're right and from the ever increasing negative comments in DM and such, I think the blanket coverage we've had the last few weeks is beginning to bore the public stiff.
We've got troubles of our own and the McCanns aren't just getting older, they're getting uglier as well - not a good thing if you want to stay a celebrity.
The public goes by appearances, had Matthews been a stunning little thing instead of what she is - she might still be in the news.
That's why the new picture of Maddie is not paraded - we get the icon, every time.

Yes, yes, before everyone starts with their negative comments, we all know (the McCanns more than most)that they made a terrible mistake but I for one sincerely hope that one day (hopefully sooner rather than later) they get good news. I wish them all the strength in the world and I admire them for trying so very hard AND for helping to highlight that so many children go missing. We need to all be vigilant and if something doesn't seem right, then maybe it isn't. Good luck Kate and Gerry and, of course, dear sweet Madeleine. xxxx

Wouldn't it have been better to have the age progression pic on her running top? I think it does no good to keep reminding people who 4 year old Madeleine, people need to stop looking for this Madeleine and start looking for the 7-8 year old child that she would be now.

i find it strange as to why Mrs McCann is using a picture of Madeleine of when she was just three years old? Surely she should be using the updated one showing how Madeliene is likely to look now. It would give Madeleine a much better chance of being found as this marathon is seen and supported by many people.
