I know that Clarke is closer to the camera than Wolters but is he really that much bigger than him? Looks all out of proportion to me.
I think Wolter's is not a very big guy to begin with. Probably average height. I notice over the past year when interviewing him they make him look taller than he really is. That's garbage journalism for you, focusing on the height of the person they are going to interview.

Or not to be?
That is a good question.

EXCLUSIVE: Maddie McCann suspect moved to high-security 'German Alcatraz' prison to be watched 24/7
Christian Brueckner's lawyer did not comment on why he has been moved to a super-max German prison dubbed the Alcatraz of The North where he can be watched 24/7 - but it is belived it comes after a scuffle with guards.

The prime suspect in the Madeleine McCann case has been moved to a new high-security prison dubbed the Alcatraz of The North.
Christian Brueckner, who German investigators believe murdered Madeleine in 2007, is now in solitary confinement at Oldenburg prison near Bremen, north west Germany.
Although the modern prison is a step up in comfort from his previous jails it is covered with CCTV cameras.
All the doors and windows within the walls are made from special reinforced safety glass so guards can keep an eye on prisoners at all times.
Escape is thought to be almost impossible at the high-tech facility which is surrounded by a 22ft wall - although one prisoner managed to flee after befriending a guard.
Glass lock-up Oldenburg has walls guards can see through
When contacted by The Mirror, Brueckner’s lawyer, Friedrich Fuelscher, declined to comment on why Brueckner had been transferred.
But it is believed it was in his best interests after he fell and broke his ribs in a scuffle with guards at a jail near Braunschweig.
There he had been housed at the grim Wolfenbüttel prison which is where the Nazis executed several hundred Second World War inmates by stringing them up or decapitating them.
He had previously been held in Kiel but was unhappy there because he was being bullied by other inmates for his link to the McCann case.
Madeleine was snatched from her bed at the holiday resort of Praia da Luz, Portugal, in 2007 when she was three.
Convicted paedophile Brueckner, 44, fled to Portugal in 1995 after completing a two-year sentence for abusing a child.
He is now serving a seven-year jail term for raping a 72-year-old American woman in the Algarve in 2005.
German prosecutors are currently compiling evidence against Brueckner who last year became the prime suspect in Madeleine’s disappearance - and believe she has been murdered.
In May the drifter made his first ever comment on the case, branding the investigation against him “scandalous” in a letter penned from his cell.
Brueckner said the public prosecutor had “brought shame to the legal system”.
He refuses to speak to police or investigators about the case.

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
Brückner was allegedly moved from Kiel to Wolfenbüttel so he would be nearer to the Investigators in Braunschweig.
He was then moved again secretly to Oldenburg, again in the far North. It only came out due to his Signing, Dating and Location of his complaint Letter and Cartoon pictures came out in the Press.
So the BKA must have no interest anymore in Questioning him then?

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
Brueckner has been wrongly accused of a number of crimes and later exonerated.
Why was he in isolation when there are others inside who are actually convicted of crimes of equal severity?
Part of me thinks that he is some sort of serial willing patsy.
Why did they show his cell? Why publish his letter? More to the point, who was it who entered his cell and photographed it? Did he have a right to refuse that photograph and the publication of his letter?

As I've said before, there is little or no evidence to link Brueckner to any legitimate crime.
He is said to have crimes of child sexual abuse under his belt, no evidence but serial documentaries and press reports by the hand of a specific group of people.
He was said to imprisoned for stealing diesel .... 'imprisoned for stealing diesel? that must be a first and hopefully last.
He is said to now be in prison because he raped a septuagenarian, the only evidence was the word of his partner in crime, a criminal in his own right, who disposed of the supposed evidence - the video footage, leaving the police to prosecute entirely on the evidence of a hair, yes one hair, said to found on Brueckner's clothing - the hair of the victim!
Why detained in solitary confinement? As for moving him so he can be easily interviewed by prosecutors - what a load of old tosh! Apart from the very fact he has never been interviewed by anyone but his lawyer - allegedly, what ever happened to police liaison? If a crime is committed in another jurisdiction, is it normal to move the accused from say a prison in Germany to a prison in Portugal so he can be easily interviewed?
Team McCann have pulled some stunts in their time but this takes the digestive! It's taking the wee-wee big time.
As always the targeted take the bait.
In the words of Louis Armstrong..
Gone fishin, '
By a shady, wady pool (shangri-la! really la!)
I'm wishin'
I could be that kind of fool (shall I twist your arm?)
I'd say "no more work for mine" (welcome to the club)
On my door, I'd hang a sign, "gone fishin'"
Instead of just wishin'
This story is staged from beginning to end

Brückner and Tatschl arrest for stealing Diesel.
Isolation: Brückner was placed in Isolation from the main Prison population after he became identifiable as a Sex offender. Sex offenders are the lowest ranking in the Prison hierarchy, and are therefore targets of violence or murderous intent.

Extradition: The German constitution forbids the transfer of Prisoners for trial abroad. Any trial would have been in the last registered place of Residence of the Accused. Braunschweig. Not the USA or Portugal.

Rape: The description given by the Rape victim, Diana Menkes (an American citizen) of her attacker was that it was a large, powerful man who raped her.
Brückner defended that he did not have either of those qualities.
The hair that sealed his fate in Court was found on the bed of the Victim, but the hair was red. Brückner defended he has blonde hair.
There were 398 other DNA traces found at the scene, not just from Brückner.
He could have dyed his hair to cover his tracks, but this is not mentioned, just the fact that this single hair contains his DNA sealed the Case. According to Herr Wolters it was this hair alone, and less the word of the Witnesses who allegedly saw the Video that convinced the Judges of his guilt. The excuse that the hair was transferred there by Menkes’ Cat that Brückner petted outside her property was not acceptable to the Court.
The Case went up for review, but was confirmed on appeal.
Diana Menkes returned to America where she passed away.

Helge B: In order to get rich quick, and earn some favour with the Greek Police, Helge Busching ran to Operation Grange with the story he had kept to himself for years.
Operation Grange then gave the BKA the statement in the hope that without any prior deep knowledge of the PJ files that they would come to the conclusion that Brückner was guilty of something worth investigation at least. They were already re - investigating other unsolved cases at the time as a matter of course.
The BKA, who were bound upon provision of ‘reasonable suspicion’ to investigate, appealed for extra information from the Public. Wolters stating that the Victim has provided no signs of life for years, can be assumed to be deceased, making it a Murder enquiry.
A Murder enquiry receives more Funding and Resources than other crimes of a simular nature. Sounding familiar OG? Follow the money.
Taking the bait: The statement provided by Helge Busching to OG has rolled onwards ever since, propelled by the McCanns media support group. Directing attention away from the impending ECHR ruling and end of the 15 year Statute of limitations in Portugal. It has now come to standstill.
Russians: The next big story will be that a pair of Russians, brothers residing in Spain and dealing in Yacht sales will be the next ‘prime Suspects’ in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. A story to be provided by ‘a source close to’ no doubt. Mark Williams-Thomas Ch 5.
The big lie: Goebbels did describe the big lie in different language in an article he wrote in 1941, “Churchill’s Lie Factory,” but he was accusing the British of the ploy:
The English follow the principle that when one lies, one should lie big, and stick to it. They keep up their lies, even at the risk of looking ridiculous.

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
It seems the Mirror is still after Brückner.
Police searched a sinister cellar dug under a ramshackle house by Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner, The Mirror can reveal.
Officers swooped on the convicted paedophile’s former home in Central Germany after the current tenant raised the alarm.
Brueckner had lived in the allotment property, on the outskirts of Braunschweig, while he ran a kiosk in the city from 2013 to 2016.
While there he illegally dug the 10ft deep pit.
Last year it was reported a friend claimed Brueckner had said he wanted to create a dungeon – with soundproof walls – “like the guy in Austria” – a chilling reference to monster Josef Fritzl.

Another recycle of the story first uncovered last year by Spiegel TV. Bjorn R agreed to be interviewed and showed Reporters the Allotment shed where he said that Brückner wanted to dig out a secret bunker underneath. He also stated that when Brückner got his invitation as Witness he was not bothered about it. ‘It wasn’t like - oh,they are on to me’ he said.

POINTING THE FINGER Shameless ex-Madeleine McCann cop blames PARENTS for disappearance & says suspect Christian B is innocent
Katie Davis
11:25, 23 Aug 2021Updated: 12:39, 23 Aug 2021
THE ex-cop who led the Madeleine McCann investigation before being fired has blamed her parents for her disappearance as he claimed suspect Christian B is innocent.
Shameless Goncalo Amaral has repeatedly made unfounded allegations that Gerry and Kate McCann killed their daughter - and has now insisted he believes the kidnapping was "only simulated".
The retired detective led the initial hunt when three-year-old Madeleine went missing from the Ocean Club holiday complex in Praia da Luz, Portugal, on May 3, 2007, and made her devastated parents official suspects.
He was removed as head of the investigation after criticising British detectives and claiming they were only following leads the McCanns asked them to pursue.
Amaral has remained outspoken on the case, and has now claimed prime suspect Christian B had "nothing to do with Maddie's disappearance" in an interview with BILD for the documentary, The Maddie McCann Case.
"It wouldn't be the first time a case has been solved by constructing a suspect," he told the outlet.
"The main culprits for the disappearance are those who had custody: the parents.
"The German public prosecutor shouldn't keep saying that he has something against (Christian B) in his hand.
"Then accuse him! Take him to court! And explain to me how someone broke into the apartment without leaving fingerprints or gloves!"
Amaral has also wildly claimed he believes the crime scene was faked.
"To this day I have no doubt that a kidnapping was only simulated," he told BILD.
"The signs of this: a window that no one could tell for sure whether it was open or closed. We were told that the alleged kidnapper climbed in and out of there.
"There were fingerprints of the mother showing that she opened the window. They were the only ones that were found."
But prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters has dismissed Amaral's claims, branding them "completely irrelevant".
"We are not interested in the opinion of a Portuguese ex-police officer," he said.
"We assume that he does not have our files.
"Therefore, his conclusions are completely irrelevant."
LEGAL BATTLE
Amaral previously released a book three days after the case was closed in 2008 called The Truth Of The Lie in which he cruelly alleged the McCanns faked Maddie's abduction to cover their tracks after she had been accidentally killed.
And he later took part in a documentary for Portuguese television in which he claimed that Madeleine was dead, there had been no abduction and the McCanns had hidden her body.
Gerry and Kate launched a legal battle against the ex-cop for his slurs in book after losing a case on appeal.
They lodged a fresh case at the European Court of Human Rights in 2017.
It comes after shocking photos revealed the “secret cellar lair” suspect Christian B dug underneath his German home.
Cops swooped on the rundown house in central Germany where the convicted paedophile had lived after the current tenant raised the alarm.
Christian B had lived at the home on the outskirts of Braunschweig when he ran a kiosk in the city between 2013 and 2016.
While living there he is said to have illegally dug a 10ft deep pit.
It was reported last year a pal of Christian B’s had claimed he wanted to build a dungeon, complete with soundproof walls, “like the guy in Austria,” in a disturbing reference to the evil Josef Fritzl.
There is no evidence though that he actually followed through with the idea.
German officials are continuing to compile evidence against Christian B, who became the prime suspect in Madeleine's disappearance in June 2020.
They believe the toddler was murdered.
Christian B branded the investigation against him as “scandalous” in a letter penned from his cell in May.
In the letter he claimed the public prosecutor had “brought shame to the legal system”.
He has constantly refused to speak to the cops or investigators about Maddie’s disappearance.

Bungling Madeleine McCann detective makes fresh vile slurs about her parents
Goncalo Amaral, who led the bungled investigation into Madeleine McCann's disappearance has repeated claims Kate and Gerry McCann are the "main culprits" and said paedophile Christian Brueckner is being framed
ByMartin Fricker
13:18, 23 Aug 2021Updated13:23, 23 Aug 2021
The detective who led the bungled investigation into Madeleine McCann’s disappearance has made fresh vile slurs against her parents.
Goncalo Amaral repeated his false allegations falsely accusing Kate and Gerry McCann of being the “main culprits” for their daughter’s 2007 disappearance.
He also told German newspaper Bild that prime suspect, paedophile Christian Brueckner, is being framed for the crime.
Portuguese ex-cop Amaral cruelly claimed he has “no doubt” Madeleine’s kidnapping was staged as part of a cover-up.
The 61-year-old former head of the Policia Judiciaria is embroiled in a legal battle with Madeleine’s parents.
Kate and Gerry, from Rothley, Leics, were left heartbroken at their daughter’s disappearance.
Amaral was removed as head of the Portuguese police investigation in October 2007 after criticising British police officers.
In his interview with Bild, Amaral said: “Brueckner has nothing to do with Maddie's disappearance.
“It would not be the first time that a case is solved by constructing a suspect.”
In a vile slur, he then falsely claimed: “The main culprits for the disappearance are those who had custody: the parents.
“The German prosecutor should not keep claiming that he has something on Brueckner. Then charge him. Take him to court.
“And explain to me how someone broke into the flat without leaving fingerprints or traces of gloves.
“That way it only serves the construction, so people will say ‘What a monster this Brueckner is’.”
Kate and Gerry have spent over 14 years trying to find Madeleine and still believe she is alive somewhere.
They have also campaigned for missing children charities across the globe and highlighted other tragic cases.
Amaral, who now lives in Lisbon, admitted making mistakes in the early days of the police investigation.
“We approached the case as if something had been stolen: How did the perpetrators get to the scene? How did they leave? Are there traces of burglary, fingerprints?”, he told Bild.
“The investigation should have been more comprehensive, like a murder: securing biological traces, fibres, hair. That was a mistake.”
He confirmed Brueckner was on a list of paedophiles who were living in the area when Madeleine vanished.
But Amaral repeated an admission the German was not quizzed because “he wasn’t home” when officers knocked on his door.
Prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters dismissed Amaral’s comments, saying: “The opinion of a Portuguese ex-policeman is of little interest to us.
“We assume that he does not have our files. Therefore, his conclusions are completely irrelevant.”
Gerry McCann refused to comment, saying: “We do not give interviews unless we are advised to do so by the investigating authorities.”
Amaral previously claimed in a controversial book that Kate and Gerry covered up their daughter’s accidental death.
The couple sued in the Portuguese courts, sparking a bitter 10-year legal battle that still rumbles on.
Madeleine was three-years-old when she disappeared from her family’s Algarve apartment in May 2007.
At the time of her abduction Brueckner was living in a camper van close to Praia da Luz.
German and UK police first became aware of him as a suspect in 2017 but only went public with the information in June last year.
Since then senior investigators have interviewed a string of potential key witnesses in Germany and Portugal.
They include Brueckner’s British ex-girlfriend, who told how he brutally attacked her during their relationship.
The German denies being involved in Madeleine’s disappearance and has refused to speak to police or prosecutors.
Investigators revealed last year that his mobile phone ‘pinged’ near to the resort on the night she vanished.
Brueckner’s name was on a list of 600 people considered potentially significant to the case which was handed to British detectives.
But he only became a suspect in 2017 when a caller rang detectives with new information.
They claimed Brueckner told them that he knew what happened to Madeleine while sitting in a bar.
He is currently serving a seven-year sentence in a German prison for raping a pensioner in Praia da Luz.
Brueckner is also a suspect in a sex crime in an Algarve playground in 2017.
He was held on suspicion of exposing himself to children in Sao Bartolomeu de Messines, a 40-minute drive from Praia da Luz.
The ongoing investigation into Brueckner has been cloaked in secrecy since the announcement last year.
A secret summit took place in Lisbon last summer between detectives from Scotland Yard, the Policia Judiciaria and Bundeskriminalamt.
They met to “fine-tune” Brueckner’s profile in a bid to discover where Madeleine’s body could be buried.
German detectives also spent time quizzing key witnesses in the Algarve, including Brueckner’s British ex-girlfriend.
A second face-to-face summit between the police forces has been repeatedly delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Brueckner’s lawyer Friedrich Fulscher insists the German has nothing to do with the youngster’s disappearance.

Goncalo Amaral, who led the bungled investigation into Madeleine McCann's disappearance has repeated claims Kate and Gerry McCann are the "main culprits" and said paedophile Christian Brueckner is being framed

Dear Messrs RedTop,
Why would the former police officer, Gonçalo Amaral, point fingers and blame?
Why would the former police officer, Gonçalo Amaral, make fresh vile slurs against the parents of Madeleine McCann?
He was assigned to coordinate the case of missing Madeleine Mccann. The Portuguese investigation, documented and released into the public domain during the summer of 2008 (thirteen years ago), documented evidence to show the claimed abudction scenario was staged, evidence to suggest a corpse had been in apartment 5a Ocean Club, the apartment occupied by the Mccann family and evidence that implicated Madeleine Mccann's parents in her disappearance.
That was the conclusion of the Portuguese investigation, not Dr Amaral personally.
And for the umpteenth time, Dr Amaral was not sacked!
Do tell - no conferring !

Oh and by the way, the more discerning have been telling you since June 2020 that Christian Brueckner had nothing to do with Madeleine McCann's disappearance.
There is that rather annoying fact that keeps getting in the way .... 'no evidence of a break-in nor an abduction'.
Still, why let the truth stand in the way of a good story.

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
In the big lie there is always a certain force of credibility; because the broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation…
The primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.

Madeleine McCann suspect evaded police by ‘not being at home’
Monday August 23 2021, 5.00pm BST, The Times
The chief suspect in Madeleine McCann’s disappearance was not questioned by police at the time because he was not at home when detectives called, the former head of the investigation has indicated.
Christian Brückner was a fugitive German paedophile living in the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz where the McCann family was on holiday in June 2007.
In a documentary to be screened on German television tomorrow night Goncalo Amaral, who led the initial Portuguese police investigation, tells the German newspaper Bild that officers had been aware of Brückner.
“When we didn’t suspect [Madeleine’s] parents, there was a list of paedophiles who lived in the area,” he said. “Brückner was on that list.
“People knocked on his door, but he wasn’t home.”
Brückner returned to Germany soon after Madeleine, three, vanished but was later traced using a mobile telephone close to the McCanns’ apartment on the night she disappeared.
He had fled to the Algarve from Germany in 1995 to avoid prosecution for child abuse offences. German police began investigating Brückner over Madeleine’s disappearance in 2019 after his conviction for raping a 72-year-old American woman near Praia da Luz in 2005, roughly 20 months before Madeleine went missing.
The former detective admitted his own failings in initially treating Madeleine’s disappearance “as if something had been stolen”. “The investigation should have been more comprehensive, like a murder: securing biological traces, fibres, hair,” he said. “That was a mistake.”
Amaral, 61, told Bild that Brückner “has nothing to do with Maddie’s disappearance”. He has previously claimed that Madeleine’s parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, both 53, from Rothley, Leicestershire, were suspects.
“The German prosecutor should not keep claiming that he has something on Brückner,” he said. “Then charge him. Take him to court. And explain to me how someone broke into the flat without leaving fingerprints or traces of gloves. That way it only serves the construction, so people will say: what a monster this Brückner is.”
Yesterday Hans Christian Wolters, a German prosecutor involved in Bruckner’s case, criticised the “very time-consuming requests” for information from Portugal.
“We still do not wish to comment on Mr Amaral’s statements because we assume that [he] has no knowledge of the current state of the investigation and that his statements are therefore completely irrelevant to us,” he said.
“I do not believe there is the slightest hint of suspicion against the McCann parents. The investigations are still continuing. I do not want to give any details about exactly which investigations are currently taking place.
“Unfortunately, the investigations cannot be speeded up, in particular due to the mandatory but very time-consuming requests for legal assistance to Portugal.”
Friedrich Fülscher, Brückner’s lawyer, declined to comment, as did the McCanns.

The above reports that there will be a Documentary shown on German TV are not entirely accurate.
The Documentary is only available on Cable pay per view Channels like TLC. NOT on National television.
One planned for August, and the next in September.
Even if German speakers in the U.K. wanted to watch it, it will most likely be geoblocked.

Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner mocks investigators with cartoon showing them turning to a clairvoyant for evidence against him

Investigators believe he killed Madeleine McCann in Portugal in 2007

The prime suspect in the Madeleine McCann case has released a twisted cartoon in which he mocks the German investigators who want him behind bars.
Convicted paedophile and rapist Christian Brueckner, 44, is currently being held in a high security prison in Oldenburg, near Bremen in northern Germany.
Investigators believe he abducted and killed three-year-old Madeleine in Portugal in 2007.
In the cartoon the chief public prosecutor, Hans Wolters, wearing a black legal gown and brandishing a five euros note, desperately whispers 'is there anything new?' to a person in sitting behind a blue curtain with crystal ball.
Security is supposedly so tight at the JVA Oldenburg prison that it is locally dubbed 'Alcatraz of the North', but Brueckner has somehow managed to leak his sketches to the press.
In Brueckner's cartoon obtained by German newspaper BILD, the convicted paedophile taunts the public prosecution office with a drawing of the chief prosecutor consulting a clairvoyant for evidence. Brueckner is pictured in the bottom right, looking on bemused
The cartoon is believed to refer to the German clairvoyant Michael Schneider, who provided the German investigators and the BKA, Germany's FBI, with co-ordinates of where he believes Madeleine is buried in Portugal.
Brueckner even included a small drawing of himself in the cartoon as a blonde-haired onlooker seemingly bemused by what he sees in front of him, while the rest of the courtroom sleeps soundly at their desks.
This cartoon comes two months after Brueckner released his first sketch in May, claiming his innocence in the case while depicting two prosecutors in a restaurant ordering the 'filet forensics'.
Despite having been a suspect for years, the public prosecution office have still not officially brought the case to court and are still gathering evidence against Brueckner, who has still never been questioned or charged in relation to the McCann case.
Three-year-old Madeleine McCann vanished from a holiday apartment in Portugal's Praia da Luz on May 3, 2007.
Her parents Kate and Gerry had put her and her siblings to bed in the flat before meeting friends for dinner at a nearby tapas restaurant.
Brueckner was living in a camper van near Praia da Luz at the time of the disappearance.
Last June, German and UK police revealed Brueckner as a suspect after first becoming aware of his potential connection to the case in 2017, but he has not yet been interrogated by police.
He is currently serving seven years in prison for raping an elderly woman in Praia da Luz, the same area where Madeleine McCann disappeared, and is also being investigated for allegedly exposing himself in a playground while children were present.
Brueckner is already serving a seven-year sentence in Germany's 'Alcatraz of the North' for raping an elderly woman in Portugal, and is under investigation for exposing himself to children in a playground
Security is supposedly so tight at the JVA Oldenburg prison that it is locally dubbed 'Alcatraz of the North', but Brueckner has somehow managed to leak his sketches to the press
Christian Brueckner is the prime suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann in 2007. Pictured: A timeline showing his movements up until 2020, when he was sentenced to prison for rape
Brueckner's first cartoon was published in May but released to press in June, along with a letter which read: 'Charging an accused is one thing. It is something completely different, namely an unbelievable scandal, when a public prosecutor starts a public pre-judgement campaign before the main proceedings are opened.
'Freedom of expression is not a basic right so that everyone can say and write what they want. Freedom of expression does not protect the majority.
'It protects the minority. It does not protect the most logical, most convincing or most popular views, but rather the outsider position.
'I call on the Brunswick public prosecutors Wolters and Lindemann to resign from their offices.'
Chief prosecutor Wolters said: 'I never said we couldn't charge him. We have no pressure at the moment. As it looks, he'll be in custody for the next few years.
'That means he's not going to run away from us. We will take the time we need.'
Wolters added that the situation is 'a two-way street', and that Brueckner has thus far taken no action to exonerate himself by reaching out to the prosecution.
'He knows that we are investigating him. He can contact us at any time.'
When contacted, Brueckner's lawyer, Friedrich Fülscher in the northern port town of Kiel, declined to comment.
Investigators have interviewed a number of potential witnesses in Germany and Portugal, including Brueckner's British ex-girlfriend, who claims he assaulted her.
Wolters, who believes Madeleine is dead, said authorities have not spoken to her parents Kate and Gerry McCann.
The McCanns said in May they 'hang on to hope, however small' that they will see their daughter again as they marked the 14th anniversary of her disappearance.
In a message shared online, they noted that this year's anniversary was even more poignant because it would have been their daughter's 18th birthday.
The message, which was shared on the Find Madeleine website, read: 'Every May is tough – a reminder of years passed, of years together lost, or stolen.
'This year it is particularly poignant as we should be celebrating Madeleine's 18th birthday. Enough said.'

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
I really do not understand why the Agenda seems to have changed back to the Original ‘it was Brückner’ when the Mark Williams-Thomas Channel 5 production involving two Russian brothers is still going ahead?
MADELEINE MCCANN: FRESH LEAD POINTS TO TWO RUSSIANS
02 August 2021
A new three-part documentary investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann is to be aired later this year on Channel 5 on UK television. It claims that prime suspect, Christian B, may have had nothing to do with the childs disappearance, and instead reportedly looks at a fresh lead involving two Russians.
Police investigating the ongoing case of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance have seemed almost convinced that Christian B istheir man and just needed to gather evidence. He is currently behind bars for drug offenses and other charges related to the rape of a 72-year-old woman. However, Christian B has condemned claims by German investigators that he is the prime suspect in the girl’s disappearance. In a letter to the German media, he criticised the prosecution for “pursuing an innocent person.”
But now a television documentary is poking holes in the investigations, led by an ex-police detective. The documentary is reported to speak to new witnesses and expose theories claiming that the suspect was not involved in the disappearance at all.
For now, the police maintain that Christian B is their man and claim to have evidence to back up the claim. “We have gathered new evidence that adds to the case we are building against our main suspect,” authorities said in a statement. “We are still building the case and at some point in the future we will share the details with the suspect and his attorney, but now is not the time. I cannot reveal the type of evidence that we have been given, it is not forensic, I can tell you that, but it’s new circumstantial evidence adding to the working theory that he’s the man responsible. “
Despite this evidence and the discovery of new clues in the Algarve region of Portugal related to Christian B, the new documentary argues that he is not the person behind the crime. Telephone records also reportedly placed him at the place of disappearance on the night of McCann’s disappearance.
Since McCann’s disappearance in 2007, the search for the young woman and her parents’ efforts to find her alive have captivated people across Europe. Earlier this month police were given an extra £350,000 to try and find the culprit over the disappearance. A Home Office spokesperson said: "The Government has provided up to £350,000 for Operation Grange in 2021-22. "In line with our Special Grant processes, funding for Operation Grange is approved on an annual basis. Ministers have approved a request for £349,328 of funding for this financial year.”

There is no Agenda - with or without a capital A, why should you think there is an Agenda?
The Discovery+ documentary was always destined to be aired in Germany, as I posted weeks ago and up-page, only today #984..
It's got nothing to do with Mark Williams-Thomas.

Ex Madeleine McCann cop blames parents for disappearance, says Christian B is innocent
'The main culprits for the disappearance are those who had custody: the parents,' Goncalo Amaral has said

The ex-cop who led the Madeleine McCann investigation before being fired has reportedly blamed her parents for her disappearance. He has also claimed the main suspect is innocent. As one of the most heavily reported missing-person cases in modern history, McCann’s story is one almost everyone has heard about. Less than two weeks shy of turning four, McCann disappeared on the evening of May 3, 2007 from her bed in a holiday apartment at a resort in Praia da Luz, in the Algarve region of Portugal.
In June 2020, it was reported that German prosecutors, who are investigating the disappearance of the British girl, believed she was dead, and a 43-year-old German man called Christian B was being investigated on suspicion of her murder. He was believed to have been in the area where McCann was last seen. Hans Christian Wolters, from the Braunschweig Public Prosecutor's Office in Germany, said at the time, "We are assuming that the girl is dead. With the suspect, we are talking about a sexual predator who has already been convicted of crimes against little girls and he's already serving a long sentence."

Madeleine McCann's mother had refused to answer 48 questions about missing daughter in 2007
Amaral claimed in the book that the girl died in an accident at the family's holiday apartment in Algarve in 2007, and that her parents covered up the crime. Kate and Gerry McCann sued Amaral at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg to stop him from making money on the disappearance of their child.
According to a new report in The Sun, Amaral, who was removed as head of the investigation after criticizing British detectives and claiming they were only following leads the McCanns asked them to pursue, has now claimed that Christian B had "nothing to do with the disappearance" in an interview with BILD -- a German tabloid -- for the documentary, ‘The Maddie McCann Case’.
"It wouldn't be the first time a case has been solved by constructing a suspect," he said. "The main culprits for the disappearance are those who had custody: the parents. The German public prosecutor shouldn't keep saying that he has something against (Christian B) in his hand.”
"Then accuse him. Take him to court. And explain to me how someone broke into the apartment without leaving fingerprints or gloves,” he said, adding the wild claim, "To this day I have no doubt that a kidnapping was only simulated. The signs of this: a window that no one could tell for sure whether it was open or closed. We were told that the alleged kidnapper climbed in and out of there. There were fingerprints of the mother showing that she opened the window. They were the only ones that were found."
Wolters has dismissed Amaral's claims, branding them "completely irrelevant". He said, "We are not interested in the opinion of a Portuguese ex-police officer. We assume that he does not have our files. Therefore, his conclusions are completely irrelevant."

Who is Goncalo Amaral?
Amaral is an infamous name in the Madeleine McCann case. In 2018, it was reported that Amaral made £350,000 (USD 479,336) from a book that was published on the case in which the missing child's parents were slandered. Amaral, the retired police chief in Portugal, wrote a book on the case titled ‘Maddie: The Truth About The Lie”.Amaral claimed in the book that the girl died in an accident at the family's holiday apartment in Algarve in 2007, and that her parents covered up the crime. Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
I would love to see G Amaral and Wolters compare files, it's always mentioned G Amaral making money out of Madeleine, never a wrong word is said about the McCann's and the money the public donated.
Every report is biased in favour of the McCanns
To brand a senior police officers claims as irrelevant is unprofessional to say the least, you would think they would be falling over themselves to speak to someone who was actually in charge of the case.
The injured party is G Amaral and Brueckner is a patsy.
If they really wanted to get anywhere near to solving what happened to Madeleine they would share their information with G Amaral and Brueckner would be illiminated once and for all.
It's not about personalities, it's about Madeleine.
