Watching the news and seeing Piers Morgan's emotional plea I was thinking - "The man is confusing scrutiny for attacks". I completely disagree with trolling. But there is a big difference between trolling and questioning!
Obviously anyone that questions the party line is a vile troll. The "guilty party" will soon be convicted and what of the truth?

Piers has also jumped on the BLM bandwagon and said that if Maddie had been black she wouldn't have got all this attention.
Soon being white will be a hate crime.

Latest suspect
Reading the Mail's headline earlier today, it said that the latest suspect was alerted to police by an online discussion forum! Could it have been CMoMM?
I have a memory of reading a thread here about a yellow camper van parked at the top of a hill close to the sea,and included a photograph.
What drama today.
Difficult time for the twins, whether this is the guy responsible or not.
RIP Madeleine.

Interestingly the SUN is printing Gonco's prediction and has reprinted the Tannerman photofit (With the dark hair) without a mention of the guy taking his kid home excuse

Re: The latest McCann suspect: Scotland Yard has revealed vital new information about a suspect wanted in connection with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
Det Chief Insp Mark Cranwell said: "We welcome the appeal today regarding the disappearance of our daughter Madeleine.
"Any information in relation to these mobile numbers during the spring and summer of 2007 could be critical to this investigation," said Mr Cranwell.
"Some people will know the man we are describing today, the suspect in our investigation. I'm appealing to you directly. You may know, you may be aware of some of the things he has done. He may have confided in you about the disappearance of Madeleine.
"More than 13 years have passed and your loyalties may have changed. This individual is in prison and we are conscious that some people may have been concerned about contacting police in the past. Now is the time to come forward.
"I'm appealing to you to contact us, or the German authorities or the Portuguese authorities. I should be very, very clear on this - while this male is a suspect, we retain an open mind as to his involvement."
Cranwell said: “Following our appeal for information yesterday, I want to thank those members of the public who have contacted us. As of 16:00hrs today, Thursday 4 June 2020 we have received over 270 calls and emails into the Incident Room.
“We are pleased with the information coming in, and it will be assessed and prioritised.
“We continue to urge anyone with information to come forward and speak with us.”

Ditto the Mail is also putting Tannerman again.
Are the press trying to get their readers to have doubts about this development?

These clowns just cannot help themselves, can they.
Now if they had said, two people have contacted us with vital information, that may at least appear to be credible. But 270 calls and e-mails? They're having a joke aren't they? That would suggest that 270 people have knowledge of what happened to Madeleine and not one of them came forward for 13 years.
Maybe these 270 people are the Mets' other prime suspects who were hanging around McCanns apartment unseen on the evening of May 3rd 2007.

This blitz is going to lead to another decade of myths and pure invention.
I thought, rather hoped, we'd gone way past that stage - at least here on CMOMM.
Now they are taking the myth big-time. I bet they're laughing their sox off!

Most interesting development in a long time. Weird that SY have roped in the Germans. We will have to wait and see but so far it doesn’t add up, at all. If they really base all their suspicions on a phone call and a car sale.
He also doesn’t fit a logical profile if he is into raping senior citizens, hard to believe he can be both a sneaky silent pedophile and a violent talking gerontophile.
But still my heart skips a beat thinking we might get an ending, even if we will collectively have to eat our hats if it turns out to be a stranger abduction/murder. Her having died we surmised after all these years but still so so so so sad if it can officially confirmed.
But I am VERY sceptical until we have more information.

Why didn't Robert Murat, with his extensive contacts and local knowledge, point the Police in the direction of CB at the time ?
The telephone call analysis will be interesting.
Hope no stone is left unturned.

He will clearly confess to having
jemmied and smashed the shutters open (Philomena),
Opened the curtains (Kate). Closed the curtains (also Kate)
Chloroformed all the children (Edgar)
walked down the stairs unseen by GM and JW who were on the opposite side of the road (GM)
Then dumped the body in the deep trench right outside the apartment (Clarke)
or...
well something like that anyway
Open and shut case really. Book him Danno !

The PJ are the primary investigative force.
The German police cannot proceed, even with the help of Operation Grange - not without the cooperation of the Portuguese police .... and they are not stupid make no mistake!
This fiasco is one almighty stitch-up.
The world is awash with fake news - this is just another example. Read between the lines, there is no fabric.

The persecution of Kate McCann: 'I feel like the unluckiest person in the world'
As a new suspect comes to light in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, Miranda Levy reflects on the ordeal of her mother, Kate
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] 4 June 2020 • 4:56pm
Ninth August, 2007. It’s a stiflingly hot day on the Algarve, and I’m sitting opposite Kate McCann, mother of the missing three-year old, Madeleine. Mrs McCann is clutching ‘Cuddle Cat’, Madeleine’s favourite toy, left behind when the little girl disappeared from their holiday apartment in May. The interview is to commemorate 100 days since Madeleine went missing from the Ocean Club in nearby Praia da Luz. The hope is that renewed publicity (though the story has never really gone away) will keep the image of Mrs McCann’s daughter in the eyes of the world.
It’s telling that our interview is taking place at the Portuguese Commission for the Protection of Children. The office feels like every identical white, sterile room in police stations all over southern Europe. Which is pretty apt, given this poor, desperate mother was demonised and criminalised just days after her daughter disappeared.
A mum with two children a similar age, this story chilled me to the bone. Firstly, because my brother and his family lived in Rothley, the Leicestershire suburb where the McCanns were from. My brother – also a consultant physician (though at a different Leicester hospital) played football with Gerry. But it was more than that. My husband and I had been on Mark Warner holidays, and other similar ‘family friendly’ package tours. We may even have left our children in their rooms - with a listening service - while we ate dinner nearby. It was something that was positively encouraged back then, even seen as a benefit offered to give you some free grown-up time.
While this kind of behaviour may have been an anathema to many Portuguese people who were used to blending generations for late evening meals, this was what many British middle-class families did. Friends pale-facedly admitted similar behaviour.
“People will criticise us for leaving her,” Kate told me at the time. “But, to be honest, it wasn’t even an issue. We felt so safe at the resort. People told us they’ve been coming for 20 years and leaving their kids. Hundreds have written to say they do the same thing when they go on holiday. It could have happened to anyone.”
So the Club Med class (silently) thanked their lucky stars, and hugged their children tighter. I remember checking my son’s and my daughter’s room more often at night in the weeks following Madeleine’s disappearance, and I suspect I wasn’t alone.
But while some offered sympathy as Kate seemed to be living every mothers worst nightmare, many others turned their ire onto the McCanns and they singled out Mrs McCann in particular, for her apparent poise. A sinister consensus started to be formed that because she wasn’t weeping and breaking down, nor acting in a way they felt ‘befitting’, Mrs McCann must be hiding something. Mrs McCann was declared a “cold actress” by Goncalo Amaral, the Portuguese police chief who led the initial investigation. He resigned in 2008, and wrote a book on the case, which was later discredited, but it is still widely quoted among the Portuguese public. (This “not-destroyed-by-grief-so-must-be-lying” trope was also heaped upon Joanne Lees, the girlfriend of Peter Falconio,[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. Though Falconio’s body has never been found, a career criminal called Bradley Murdoch was convicted of his murder in 2005.)
Picking up on the growing vitriol being directed at her, Kate replied: “Who can say what the mum of a missing child should look like?”
In hindsight, Mrs McCann and her husband showed admirable dignity in a situation barely imaginable to other young parents. Their Catholic faith may have sustained them through the living hell they were greeted with every day they opened their eyes. Last year, the McCann’s spokesman, Clarence Mitchell, gave an interview to the Telegraph. “One of the reasons the McCanns were so controlled is that they were told that often, in the case of paedophiliac kidnaps, the perpetrators watch media coverage and enjoy seeing the distress they have caused,” he said. “So the police told them not to cry. Not to show any over-emotion. Kate and Gerry, both logical doctors and were not going to let that bastard have any satisfaction and so were very rigid.”
For someone who didn’t have that information, said Mitchell, it might look suspicious. “It is almost like the public were expecting the parents to act in a certain way.”
But that wasn’t all. Over the years the case has descended into public sport. There was barely-concealed glee when the couple were, for ten months, declared arguidos– or persons of interest (this was revoked in May 2008.) And when, in April that year, traces of Madeleine’s DNA were found in the McCann’s car, and boot, people were almost hopping with joy. It was like some publicly played-out episode of Columbo. (The DNA evidence was later found to be inconclusive.)
Even back in the online infancy of 2007, casual onlookers found a way to stick the knife in. In July of that year, the McCann’s local paper – the Leicester Mercury – had to take down their support message board because of spiteful posters.
Then they had to contend with social media. On the ten year anniversary of Madeleine’s disappearance, open season was declared on Twitter. Twisted keyboard warriors called the McCanns “vile”, “negligent” parents who “have only themselves to blame”. The couple faced implied threats such as “we need some numbers for assassins”, and: “this couple should burn in hell”.
On the back of an interview with Fiona Bruce in April 2017, the McCanns said they avoided social media. “It’s quite shocking... that aspect of human nature that I hadn’t really encountered before,” said Mrs McCann. “It’s so far from how you would behave, or how people you know would behave. Why would somebody write that? Why would somebody add to someone’s upset… and do something like that?”
Her view was unsurprising, given that three years earlier, someone named Brenda Leyland had written: “To Kate and Gerry, you will be hated by millions for the rest of your miserable, evil, conniving lives, have a nice day!” (Two weeks later, Ms Leyland – who apparently had a history of mental illness – took her own life.)
When I interviewed Kate McCann in 2007, she was clearly devastated. Very thin, she managed to hold back her tears during our conversation – only just. But she was poised and un-self-pitying. With heartbreaking understatement, she said: “People will always criticise. I just feel like the unluckiest person in the world. It’s not us who committed the crime.”
No. But it’s quite possible that police now know who did. The image of little Madeleine McCann frozen in time is back on our front pages. There has been a breakthrough in the case: a 43-year old German paedophile is [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. This convicted child sex-offender was in Praia da Luz on May 3, and had received a phone call in the area an hour before the little girl vanished.
Maybe there will be some resolution for Kate and Gerry, and their 15-year old twins, Sean and Amelie. "We will never give up hope of finding Madeleine alive,” the family said in a statement reacting to the latest developments this? week. “But whatever the outcome may be, we need to know as we need to find peace.”
And finally, all those who have taken part in the blood-thirsty spectator sport in the gladiators’ arena can be told: you can go home now.

270 contacts doesnt mean 270 contacts of value.
Tonight UK press published CB's full mugshot. <24h after SY said they'd not release his identity. It took less than that to get his name, with or without intelligent googling.
No trial, no evidence, defence, counter argument.
The guillotine loosed before the public had a chance to question anything.
Without places like this the case would have died tonight.
A modern day 'man in the iron mask'. Ambiguous to the end of time.

For once I can say, no will say, I thoroughly agree with Sonia Poulton - apart from the 'me myself I' aspect but I can gloss over that under the circumstances..

"I understand he was in a bar in Germany with another man, around the tenth anniversary of Madeleine's disappearance. A report came on the TV about the anniversary of Madeleine's disappearance and he said something to suggest that he knew what happened.

That's not specific then is it Clarence, you utter waste of space.
It is clear from the evidence that Madeleine died. Peter Hyatt's analysis concluded that the McCann's disposed of her corpse and know that she will not be found.
So this new story IMO, is dis-information. But why ?
Tony Bennett was hinting that it could be (another) attempt to "shut the case down", with some sort of conclusion. I am more of the mind that this dis-information is a muddle up of some sort. Are there any other factors in the Madeleine case that have elements that are common to the dis-information just launched? Are there any links to Germany? - Apart from Michael Shrimpton's potty claims about German Intelligence that is. What information is currently floating about that might be very dangerous? - Has somebody of influence recently taken an interest in the case?
There must be a motive for putting out this narrative. It was peppered all over the front pages.

Respect !
There is always a hidden reason for any blitz of media coverage about the case of Madeleine McCann. Timely and irrelevant.
I have already expressed my views throughout the thread but I have wondered why the McCanns, aided and abetted by their official/unofficial spokesman Clarence Mitchell, took their road show over to Germany during the summer of 2007.
Spain yes, it's just across the boarder but Germany? A hot spot for paedophilia perhaps or Angela Merkel a force to reckon with. She was/is a very powerful woman.
Clarence Mitchell played a very big part in this theatrical production - and still does it would seem.
He is too adamant to be believable.

Merkel leaves office in Autumn 2021 so maybe rushing it through if linked.

sickening
Sickened at how deep this is going to have to go. The tower will fall though, it always does. So currently trying to fit the evidence around a suspect instead of vice versa. How dirty and dismal does this get? No fan of a f r that is incarcerated for his crimes, but if it took them 13 years...
