So, as DS Duthie, (SIO@Grange?) says that 'the MET don't have a full understanding of what happened to Madeleine', shouldn't he 'ask' Mr Edgar?

This isn't going to 'look good' for the MET 'Maddie Cops' 'claim' to be working, feverishly, on the very 'last, final, lead' (since April 2016 btw) implicating a 'nasty gang of child traffickers', who whisked Madeleine, out of the country, for 'sexual motives' (DE 'last week') IF DE 'says'..........'f**king t*ssers, she's just around the corner, and has been, for 10 years, you should have asked me, being the only 'professional' PI the McS ever 'employed'!

Did the 'child traffickers' RED TRACTOR break 'down', on the 'escape route', so they hurriedly, 'dumped' her in one of the, nearby, lawless villages, around PDL, and she's been 'there' ever since, knowing she is worth '£millions', to her parents hastily set up, plc, in 'reward' money, alone, to them?

I'm pretty 'sure' they might well 'say something..odd' that they may 'later rely on in court' should they ever be 'implicated' in their daughter's 'disappearance'.

I want to 'see' ear tugging, nose scratching, gulping, etc.

However, I'm not holding out much hope of that, their TV 'interview' is probably already 'in the can/s' having been 'edited' to the nth degree.!

I sincerely hope YOU, personally, (and by 'association', the McCan'ts) are going to take FULL RESPONSIBILTY for ANY 'harm caused' to '13/14 year old' girls that are 'grabbed at, attempted to be 'snatched', from their parents/friends/guardians, by 'ner-do-wells' in the Algarve, on the 'pretext' of 'I thought you were Madeleine McCann' because DE, McCan'ts PI, 'said'..... 'she's alive, in the Algarve'!

Maybe​ ex spurt Dave​ could join forces with the other ex spurt Mark Williams Thomas " Madeleine wandered out of the apartment to look for her parents at the Tapas​ Bar " 

Cos that's​ obviously where the burglar/ trafficers/ p....phile  was hanging around waiting for a child​ to appear so they could​ " abduct " said child and whisk her away to the 
"Lawless hills " !

Hidden in plain sight​ for 10 years , perhaps​ they​ haven't raised​ enough dosh yet to get her out of the country just in case Dave manages to " investigate " at last​ 

After​ all​ he's a " professional​ " isn't he ? And ready​ to get​  " back​ on board "

Maddie investigator Dave Edgar recalls the horrific cases that still haunt him.
Retired detective Dave investigated and solved some of Britain’s most sickening murderers. Today he recalls the cases that still haunt him – and the two killings he is still furious he could not break.
Dave had accepted demotion to join the Cheshire police force in 1986 after he left the RUC.
But he quickly moved up the ranks, becoming a detective inspector for the second time in his career.
As a result, Dave found himself at the heart of these high-profile investigations.
Dave’s team were stumped until they identified killer Stephen Mottram through the use of controversial Low Copy Number DNA profiling to analyse single cells left at the scene.
Mottram, 40, from Cheshire, was convicted in 2007 and will serve 16 years.
Dave said: “It was a difficult and long case, and thank God we were able to use the DNA tests.”
This have-a-go hero dad, 47, was kicked to death by a group of feral youths outside his Cheshire home.
Dave Edgar’s work on the case, the same month Stephen Mottram was convicted, led to his three teen killers being sentenced to life.
Dave was also awarded a judge’s commendation for his work on the case.
“It’s not the award that made the case rewarding,” he said. “It was seeing the perpetrators brought to justice.”
This mum-of-two was doused with petrol and set alight just before Christmas in 1994.
The killers dumped 31-year-old Tracey’s horrifically burnt body on the steps of a church in Cheshire and she died a day later.
Despite interviewing 2,000 people, Cheshire cops have never been able to trace the kidnappers.
“It’s just one we couldn’t get,” Dave said. “A horrific case.”
Unemployed Craig Smith abducted this 13-year-old in 1999 as she walked home from school in Cheshire.
He shot her with an air rifle, strangled her and her body was found five days later in the fast-flowing River Dane.
Dave said: “I was one of the first on the scene and found her body covered in horrific injuries. But it’s just something you’ve got to deal with.”
Dave admits he is still fuming he could not snare this Asian girl’s killers.
Her body was found badly decomposed on a river bank in Cumbria five months after she vanished on her way home from work in September 2003.
Dave suspected an “honour killing” but the killer or killers were never brought to justice.
A coroner ruled last year that Shafilea was murdered after rejecting an arranged marriage.
Before her death, Shafilea drank bleach in an act of self-harm.
Dave said: “It’s the one that got away for me, and the one I’ll always be bitter about.
“It was horrific to find her body so badly decomposed in that river. Honour killings these days are getting out of control.”

The couple suffocated Shafilea with a plastic bag after years of abuse.

After the trial. Det Supt Geraint Jones described the killing as a "vile and disgraceful act against someone they should have been very proud of".

He added: "For me this is not an 'honour killing', it's a clear case of murder."

Totally agree Phoebe, but also look at who is supporting this vile couple. Successive governments, the BBC, Scotland yard, all of the media giants, the country's biggest human rights legal team. Who really cares about a couple of children growing up into their teenage years?
In reality I hope someone behind the scenes is watching out for them. Gerry McC is off the hook and he knows it, I really don't want Kate McC and her remaining 2 children to have a suicide pact leaving a note blaming it on Goncalo Amaral. Mods if that is too forceful please pull it and accept my apologies.

I think your post is out of order CP. Just because the McCanns drag their twins into the media/lawsuit spotlight doesn't make it right for forum members to pontificate about the safety of the twins and introduce spurious remarks about suicide with a daft tenuous link to Goncalo Amaral.

Incidentally, you seem to consider Kate McCann as weak and Gerry being protected. I think quite the opposite. From what I've seen to date both of them have a rod of steel in their spines and both of them are protected.

Actually I've thought the same as CP . Kate McCann did say in an interview that sometimes you just want to be gone ,we'd all be together .

Thanks for that ROID?????  These are just the sort of things that need to be remembered. If nothing else it proves just how dangerous she might be.

The Ulster detective leading the search for Madeleine McCann today reveals his most chilling theories yet, exclusively to Sunday Life. Hardened ex-RUC cop Dave Edgar told us he is convinced that little Maddie is imprisoned in a hellish lair – just like kidnapped sex slave Jaycee Lee Dugard.

He insisted the “back from the dead” reappearance of Jaycee – and the cases of Austrian cellar girls Elisabeth Fritzl and Natascha Kampusch – confirmed his suspicion.
And despite fresh leads taking his probe to Australia and Barcelona, the east Belfast man insists the golden-haired youngster is being held just 10 miles from where she was snatched in Praia da Luz two years ago.
But he warned that the sprawling wilderness where he believes Maddie is languishing is almost impossible to search completely.
Belfast-born Dave revealed the grim theories when he opened his case files to us.
We spent the day at the Cheshire office he uses to conduct the world’s biggest missing person case.
Sunday Life can now lift the lid on how his Alpha Investigations Group private eye agency really operates and what it is like to search for the world’s most famous missing youngster, who disappeared two years, four months and 10 days ago.

When we visited Dave’s headquarters, US kidnap victim Jaycee Lee Dugard had still not been rescued and the world had long forgotten her name.
But even then Dave said he was convinced Maddie was entombed by an abductor in a cellar or dungeon, like Austrian cellar victims Natascha Kampusch and Elisabeth Fritzl.
“Maddie is most likely being held captive, possibly in an underground cellar, just like Natascha or Elisabeth, and could emerge at any time,” he told us.
Days later, news broke that tormented Jaycee had been freed from the foul compound where she was abused for 18 years by monster Phillip Garrido. Dave simply said: “This just supports my theory that Maddie is alive and imprisoned.”
There was further backing for his theory when American boy Ricky Chekevdia was found hiding with his mother in a tiny “secret room” two years after he was kidnapped while caught in a custody battle.
Former detective inspector Dave, who grew up on Belfast’s Woodstock Road, was drafted in by Kate and Gerry McCann last November after Spanish investigators failed to find new leads.
Renowned for leaving no stone unturned in his UK murder investigations, Dave now spends his days with a four-strong team probing every lead that comes in to his office.
His partner Arthur Cowley has more than 30 years’ policing experience in north-west England – and the pair are backed up by a translator and an ex-police administrator.
They have sifted through thousands of emails, answerphone messages and letters to get that one breakthrough lead.
Last month, the information took Dave’s probe to Australia and Barcelona to track a ‘Victoria Beckham lookalike’ suspect, who spoke with an Australian or New Zealand accent.
She was seen asking two British tourists at a marina in Barcelona if they were there to deliver her “new daughter” – three days after Maddie disappeared.
But he told us he is now back to focusing on his original theory.
He still feels Maddie was snatched by a man spotted by the McCanns’ friend Jane Tanner, one of the so-called ‘Tapas Seven’ who dined with them the night Maddie went missing.
Dave said: “Jane is a very reliable witness and there were other sightings of this man, who Jane saw carrying a little girl in a blanket, in the days leading up to the disappearance.”
He feels this is the lone prowler who has Maddie stashed in a cellar or dungeon in the lawless villages around Praia da Luz.
But Dave warned: “This rural, sprawling terrain makes it extremely difficult to search. You could quite easily keep a child there for years and no-one else would know.
“The person who has Maddie is most likely a paedophile or a person so desperate for a family they were willing to kidnap for it.
“I wouldn’t like to speculate on what is happening to her.”
Dave says the region where he feels Maddie is being held has attracted many strange characters, including convicted sex offenders.
“I don’t want to generalise or make gross exaggerations, but there are people there living on the edges of society,” Dave said.
He added there were as many
as nine child sex attacks in the area round Praia da Luz from 2005 to 2007 and the victims included British kids.
Some happened as close as 20 miles from Praia da Luz, and six of them were on girls between the ages of three and 10.
He is now investigating leads on six child sex offenders, 78 other rapists and sex attackers and 22 vagrants.
In a glimmer of hope, Dave said: “The key thing is no body has been found.
“When paedophiles kill, they often dump the body nearby, and this isn’t the case here.
“Even if Maddie had been dumped in the sea nearby the resort, the ocean often gives up his victims.
“Until I find evidence that she is dead, I will keep going.”
And his plans for the future?
“I don’t know. We could still be sitting here in 10 years.
“If Maddie is being held, she may be being brought up to speak a different language and not even remember her own name or where she was from.
“All we can do is try and keep public awareness high – and try and reach as much of that mountainous region outside the resort as we can.”
