In keeping with the excellent *balanced* reporting the media has given the McCann case...here is a list of examples of the headlines related to Goncalo Amaral - describing his transfer from the Madeleine case in one or more of the following terms: "FIRED, SACKED, BOOTED-OUT, KICKED-OFF, AXED" (etc.)

I have studied these as I've compiled the lists, and must admit that there has been absolutely NO evidence of unbiased reporting in the case of Madeleine McCann.  It is, in my opinion, an insult to the British public that journalists do not have enough respect for their readers to stick to the facts and to avoid sensationalism or spin.  Apparently ethics no longer exist in the news media.  (Thank God for the Internet.)

What a thorough compilation, just shows the "attack" on Portugal and proves to me that there is something much "bigger" behind the McCann's. IMO.

To think the McCanns and their mates managed to sting the UK press by way of  'out of court settlements' for alleged defamatory reportage.  A counter attack with only a fraction of these attacks against one individual would compensate for all the damage done to that individuals life and reputation - he would be a millionaire.  Deservedly so if I might add.

Ironic that the McCanns managed this when they had a government media monitoring unit behind them in addition to allegedly paying a member of the House of Lords to keep them on the front pages for a year.

How come the negative reports escaped the media monitoring unit's notice until too late?  >>>  Enter Rupert Murdoch!

Nice little earner - publish a few negative reports about us then give us some money - out of court of course.

Melania Trump has successfully sued the Daily Mail, published by Associated Newspapers, for £2.4 million over slurs they cast on her modelling career.

Her lawyer John Kelly said the allegations about Mrs Trump were not true - and "strike at the heart of the claimant's personal integrity and dignity".
-----------------

Well, Mr Amaral will have a field day on that basis. Look at the headlines in the OP for a reminder. Squillions of pounds worth of actionable stuff.

If the money was meant to be used to search for Maddie it could have been put towards the search costs, but no it was needed far more to pay the mortgage and sue anyone who disagreed with the Tapas 7 version of events

Whether Amaral decides to sue or not at the very least he deserves a massive apology .

Sadly I don't think I'll be holding out any hope of that happening !

He has a family to think of and make sure he has enough funds to see them through to a good standard of living.   He has been on his uppers for a very long time, so it is about time now he and his family had some relief from the hardships endured for so long.

Sue and win - it's a yes from me for sure.
