Resume: British police investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann have released two e-fit images of one man they want to trace in connection with Madeleine's disappearance.

Det Ch Insp Andy Redwood of the Metropolitan Police said he could be the man who took Madeleine, but there could be an innocent explanation.

As a result, according to the police, the timeline and "accepted version of events" surrounding Madeleine's disappearance have significantly changed.

Det Ch Insp Redwood said he was now attaching more weight to the sighting of the man, who was seen carrying a small child at 10pm. This is later than the time it was previously believed Madeleine was taken.

The video was uploaded on YouTube in August 2009. I didn't include the date because I'm not sure if it's when recorded or when uploaded.

Whatever, I doubt very much Edgar and/or Mitchell are still on the payroll, either payed by the double glazier, Brian Kennedy, or the Find Madeleine Co Ltd.

They most likely only drop in for a cuppa when required and given an extra digestive biccy to dunk in their fatty latte.

Every time I watch this video I'm more convinced that none of the tapas lot used the front doors, if they did do any checking that is.

There is no way I'd be walking around the street on my own in the dark.

Also, if so many witnesses saw a stranger looking into the apartment over a couple of days, why didn't the Mccann's see anything. Especially when he was stood leaning on the wall and staring at the apartment from the passage!

This short interview is always worth another watch, or a must if you haven't already seen. Not often you see Gerry McCann squirming but here there are one or three very uncomfortable moments, presumably McCann wasn't given prior warning of the questions to be asked..

Jeremy Paxman: ... but then you had this entire media circus (Gerry McCann interrupts) .. camped out around you but you collaborated with them, when it was convenient to you - didn't you?

Sky News can reveal the new suspect in the Madeleine McCann case is a German man already being investigated over alleged child sex offences.

He is one of two suspects who are currently the focus of teams of detectives in Portugal and the UK.

Sky's crime correspondent Martin Brunt reports from Portugal where Madeleine McCann was last seen 12 years ago.

It's fast approaching nine months since this report was broadcast and it's fast approaching March 2020, when the current Home Office grant is due for renewal - well sort of, depending which version you care to acknowledge.

Where do they stand at this juncture I ask myself thinking

? Will Operation Grange be give the green light for yet another annual binge or is this farce finally going to come to an end.

Ex-Portuguese police chief slams leading Madeleine McCann suspect in Spanish interview

Former Portuguese police chief Gonçalo Amaral has claimed that an imprisoned German paedophile probed over Madeleine McCann's disappearance is responsible for her disappearance, not previous lead suspect Martin Ney.

He revealed new details about why he believes the new suspect is being investigated - and made a fresh dig at the missing girl’s father, Gerry, in an interview with a Spanish TV station.

Mr. Amaral originally sparked speculation Hamburg-born child strangler Ney was the prime suspect after telling an Australian podcast earlier this year investigators were focusing on a German paedophile in prison.

However, he never identified Ney by name at the time, describing the suspect only as someone who had been ruled out of the investigation into the missing British youngster back in 2008 but later jailed in his home country.

Now the original lead investigator in the case, has fuelled new speculation about his identity by telling a Spanish TV programme: “A paedophile who is German and serving life for killing children has been spoken about.”

“What I know is that the suspect is not Ney, it's another man. He's also in prison in Germany. He's also a paedophile.

“Years later, many years later, it appears that in an Internet chatroom there is a conversation between that person and another person where they talk about Madeleine.”

He continued: “It can't be him” when he was shown a photo of Ney before adding in a false and vile jibe at Madeleine McCann's father: “I'll say something else, the kidnapper is similar, very similar, to Gerry McCann” before pointing at the photo he had been shown of Martin Ney and adding: “That man is not similar to Gerry McCann.”

Police in the UK and Portugal, who are leading separate investigations into Madeleine McCann's May 2007 disappearance from the holiday resort of Praia da Luz, declined to comment on Portuguese reports around the 12th anniversary that investigators had a “new lead and a new suspect.”

The Policia Judiciaria said in a statement released in May after the Correio da Manha claimed a new suspect had been flagged up to investigators in Lisbon and Porto by Scotland Yard: “The investigation into the disappearance of an English child in Praia da Luz in 2007 remains open within the framework of an investigation supervised by Portimao's Public Ministry.”

“This investigation has been developed in conjunction with international authorities, following police and judicial rules of cooperation justified by the circumstances of the situation. The PJ does not feel it is appropriate to make any further clarifications in the interests of the investigation,” they concluded.

Looks like G. Amaral is ahead of the game as usual.

That's a very misleading article. It seems that it has been craftily worded to give the impression that Amaral now believes that there was an abduction, and by a paedophillia now in a German prison.

What Amaral may have said is that the alternative investigation is looking at a German Paedophile but it's not Ney.

It's that damn Neftlix production that's created all this nonsense since it was released. Snr Amaral features quite prominently but of course he doesn't feature, not in the true sense of the word like Colin Sutton and Anthony Summers - to name but two.

If any one can convince me the Netflix production team approached Snr Amaral and he agreed to be interviewed for the so called documentary, I will go disappear back into my cave for the unforeseeable future.

The show is a travesty from beginning to end and it's only aim would appear to be in support of the McCanns. What more needs to be said.
