Pencilled-in - that's an interesting term of phrase. Roughly translated = tentatively, a diary note, a yeh but no but ...., a something that can easily be rubbed out.

Stands to reason I guess, the second part of 'the McCanns and the police' can't be released until after conclusion of an investigation, you have to wait for that to know what happens - surely?

Who knows what or when that might be, apart from a select few who are in the 'know' of course.

This just happens to be the same Owen Jones who, in his book 'The Establishment', mentioned the £500,000 the McCanns allegedly paid to Lord Bell, of Bell Pottinger, to keep them on the front pages of the press for a year.

Seems he honoured the deal - good publicity v. bad publicity, who cares?
