Donation Request
Hello. Thanks for your continuing support over the last 8 years.
The webspace and hosting charges are due and voluntary donations by site visitors have, unfortunately, not covered them. I know of the brilliant efforts that people are making at present to support Gonçalo, whose burdens are greater than mine, and I don't want them to feel taken for granted but, once again, I have to appeal for your support in keeping the site running.
Although the sum required at the moment is pretty small – about £100 or so – I simply cannot make up the shortfall from my own resources. Can I ask readers who value the site or use it in their research to make a small contribution? Just twenty fivers or one hundred one pound contributions will do it and it really will help McCann Files to keep going.
The fees are due by the end of this month and I'll post the amount raised – if any! – on the site next week.
Thanks again for your support.
Nigel

Yes, agree. It was where I first started reading about the case.

Let's hope he raises enough for the next few months - I've also posted this on CMOMM facebook.

I just made a donation. It's vital to keep all data available IMO
Let's make sure Nigel's site stays up.

I've just donated and then set up a small amount to be paid monthly. If enough people are able to pay a small amount every month then hopefully this will help Nigel with costs

Re: mccannfiles: Donation request
I've just donated.
Would it be possible to have a message about the need for donations for the mccannfiles scrolling across the top of the screen? otherwise this thread may vanish and I am sure many members would like to support Nigel Moore to keep his site open.

Our quest to find out what happened is doomed if we allow history to be erased.
Let's protect the sites, Nige's & Pamalam's that did & do archive contemporary history
related to the Maddie case.
Let's fund them!

Update from Nigel:
Update
Just a quick note to say a huge thank you to all the kind and generous people who have donated to the site over the last couple of days. Given circumstances over the last 12 months have left me little time to devote to the site, I am taken aback by the response. Thank you.
There is now no immediate danger to the future of the site, so I have removed the donation button. I am currently in conversation with the site hosts and shall post up all the details by the end of this week, with details of payments made.
Updating the site
I do intend to continue to update the site, although it may be December or New Year before things settle down completely, as I need time to catch up on recent developments.
Once again, many thanks for your invaluable support in keeping the site online,
Nigel

'Donations' to a REAL 'worth while' stalwart! 'UPDATE' 30/10/2015
Donation Update, 30 October 2015

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Update - 30/10/2015
There are 3 payments that need to be made each year:
• The webspace charge, which is the most expensive due to the size of the site (and which I've previously paid monthly)
• An annual payment that allows unlimited pages on the site, and
• The domain name renewal
As a result of your kind donations I’ve been able to make the following payments:
- Webspace for one year to 27/10/2016 (.com) - £209.33
- Unlimited pages for one year to 29/10/2016 (.com) - £54.00
- Domain name renewal for one year (.com) - £13.19
- Domain name renewal for one year (.co.uk) - £5.99
As you will see, this site is now fully covered for the next year, regardless of anything else that happens.
I do have some money left over and am considering the best use of this – I'll keep you updated.
Many thanks again for your fantastic support.

Re: mccannfiles: Donation request
Well done all! Good news!
I've noticed Nigel updating the site again.
Well worth a daily visit.
eta: a reminder to donate to Pamalam's site as well.
She's facing more or less the same costs.
Doesn't have to be much. Let's show our appreciation
by sharing the costs.
All their other work, those endless hours, all put in for free.

A link to Pamalam might also be useful for those who are not sure where to find it! TIA

It's one of Pamalam's sites. I donated twice today.
Second time just now to check who received it.
I was right. Pamalam.
Anyway, another donation made.
Sorry for creating confusion, Ladyinred.
It's not good.
I should have posted up both links in the first place.

Great resource, well worth donating to. Make sure to remind us next year when it's due for renewal so we can all chip in...

I'm sorry to have missed this appeal. I've donated to Nigel in the past and will happily do so again, when required.
Thanks for keeping the site going, Nigel.
And thanks to everyone who chipped in this time.
