Why waste energy looking for something. ...when you know where it is?
Use your energy on more important things, such as jogging.

IMPORTANT ADVICE # 4
When searching for a lost child, always concentrate on the most obvious or most likely places first
Thus
If you suspect your child has been taken by a Paedo**** you should concentrate on the place most likely to contain a high percentage of such people.
The Vatican, for example
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Or your xenophobia and racial prejudice might lead you to think that "Swarthy foreigners" were to blame, in which case you need to go to another country, ideally in another continent
Africa for example
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Ideally you should be searching a long way from where your child was taken
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]" />
Or you might think that she had been taken and sold to the rich and famous, so you would want to search . . .
The White House, for example.

In the photo on the right, what we can't see is a pack of cadaver dogs chasing Gerry after smelling something that definitely isn't sea-bass all over his tee-shirt.
'Quick, Gerry,' Kate implores, 'chuck it on that waste land called the 'snail,' you know, the place where you threw your old socks.'

Libel trial, Lisbon, 19th september 2013 witness Alan Pike:
SO – Did you advise the McCanns to promote news of the disappearance using the media?
AP says it wasn't his advice. The McCanns were advised by an organisation which specialises in missing people.
SO – What part does excessive publicity play in primary trauma? Does it increase the stress and the anxiety?
AP – Yes it does.
Unquote
My question is: how and when? Because he says specifically 'promoting the news of the disappearance' which I take to mean the very early days.
Alan Pike was on hand very early - about six in the morning of the 5th, having arrived on the 4th.
He told the McCs also that they seemed like model parents to him.
Lovely chap.

Re: Missing People. Important advice
Missing Persons - On May 24th 2007, Paul Tuohy re-launched the charity, 'Missing People' (previously known as the National Missing Persons). The event is alleged to have been instigated at the behest of the European Commission, spearheaded by former EC Vice-President and self-appointed 'Guardian Angel of Children', Franco Frattini. The event was attended by John McCann. Paul Tuohy is an ex-colleague of Ester McVey. Tuohy says it is peculiarly ironic that they should launch at the time Madeleine McCann went missing. Patrons include Lorraine Kelly (ITV)
OK, we're talking three weeks after 3/5/07 and they're all there, McVey, Kely and a political drive to promote the charity. Former Vice president no less. I apologise for the 'Guardian Angel' .........unprintable..... Frattini. I'd like to know more about him, was he best mates with British charities?
I'm sorry I can't give a reference, it was sent to me by a member some time ago and I've been unable to find the source which I think was probably a blog which is no longer online. Added to Alan Pike's statement under oath at the Lisbon court, I feel that Missing People get more interesting by the day. Not your actual missing people of course, just the charity.

Re: Missing People. Important advice
Driving up the A13 in Tower Hamlets (London) last Sunday (26th) and one of those TV screen advertising hoardings flashed up a ‘Missing People’ advert for a ‘Jack Slade, 17’, ‘missing’ from Durham since 10th July.
Having a look on the MP site and his page has been whooshed already, so presumably he has turned up, but I can find no more info on the case.
No idea what those adverts cost but they can’t be cheap.
Was an advert in Tower Hamlets really likely to aid his return/finding and I wonder whether he had already been located?

I think the adverts are 'donations' in kind from advertising companies. Kate promoted one of these a year or so ago - so MP doesn't pay for these adverts afaik.Doug D wrote:Driving up the A13 in Tower Hamlets (London) last Sunday (26th) and one of those TV screen advertising hoardings flashed up a ‘Missing People’ advert for a ‘Jack Slade, 17’, ‘missing’ from Durham since 10th July.

Pointless in any case, the one chosen for the launch of this form of advertising was found before the campaign launched, she absconded within days, most of the missing people don't want to be found imo possibly having run away from a home that may be more of a threat to their health than trying to make it on their own.
I feel there's a very real danger that abused children are brought back home. I'd be interested to know whether those reporting the missing are ever checked out.

there is also this news article on the bbc, still to find:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
there is a lot coming up if you just google frattini, he has worked on the motto: eu, the guardian for missing and sexually abused children.
his background is the legal world and he was pretty high up in the italian political ranks under berlusconi.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
frattini was earlier in 2007 already active in the business of european missing children.
there is a complete industry of commissions, ngo's and charities around the world. but in reality joe public would hear of a missing kid through the police forces, or because family members start a social media campaign and from there what is ending up in the msm. it is not clear if the other parties really do something besides information exchange between each other, there is very little sign of true and active looking into a missing children at all. frattini is just another talker about this subject.
in the eu you see it a lot, some do a very lot of talking about anything that could bring status, but as soon as the get another subject, the are hardly ever will be speaking about it again.
there is also something from the guardian from the wik1 leaks reports:
11. Missing Children Alert: Frattini used the well-known case of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], a missing British girl, to lay out his intention to develop an EU wide alert system for missing children. Frattini specifically and repeatedly mentioned the Amber Alert system in the U.S. as the model that the EU needed to copy. In addition, the e-Justice Portal, according to Costa, will include a list of missing children and direct users to appropriate Hague Convention resources.

the date 24 mai has more logic, because that is to be the international day of missing children.

Re: Missing People. Important advice
that is a easy question to answer:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini on Wednesday reiterated Rome’s support for former British Prime Minister Tony Blair to take the future post of European Council president envisioned under the Lisbon Treaty, the European Union’s revised governing charter which is expected to go into effect next year. Speaking to the press on the sidelines of his visit to the Saudi capital, Frattini said Blair was ”authoritative and charismatic” and that it was imperative that he be elected with broad support. ”We still need to work to overcome the reservations of some countries. What we cannot allow to happen is for a split to emerge when we vote,” the foreign minister said. In Blair’s favor, Frattini observed, was that he ”has the stature of a statesman.
He is a pro-Europe Briton, or at least a Briton who has fewer doubts about Europe, and this is important”. Under the Lisbon Treaty, which now only needs to be ratified by the Czech Republic, the president of the European Council will be elected by the council itself, made up of all heads of state or government, for a two-year term. Until now the Council president was the government chief of the country which held the EU’s six-month rotating presidency. The future Council president will not be allowed to hold any office outside the EU and it may be possible to merge this post with that of the president of European Commission, the EU’s executive arm. Premier Silvio Berlusconi has repeatedly come out in favor of Blair and on Wednesday in a letter to Il Foglio said he agreed with the right-wing daily which has come out in favor of Blair for EC president. EU leaders are set to elect a future EC president at their summit in December and, once approved by the Czech Republic, the Lisbon Treaty will go into effect on January 1.

12. Child Protection: Costa also noted that the ministers agreed to expand the role of the European Mediator for international child abductions and to support the strengthening and implementation of laws related to child protection. Hoffman
It would appear that here lies the answer why the McCanns are so well protected they were helping to achieve a goal and it did not seem to matter to them that their child was dead...they had an agenda and a wonderful future ahead of them, so why did it turn so sour ?
“At the beginning I had some reservations concerning that issue, because I had never heard about it, but I was interested careful enough to go on the internet and to consult several credible websites, including FBI and CIA sources, where I found some amazing things: the micro-chip was indeed being promoted as the ideal weapon to prevent crime. These sources added that the population should be induced into accepting this technological revolution, even if it was at the expense of a policy of deliberately promoting mass public insecurity. Well, the Maddie case fell like ‘manna from heaven’ for the promotion of the microchip, especially as far as children are concerned”.

How The Madeleine Case Supported the Extension of Amber Alert System and the EU's Prüm Treaty To The Remaining 27 Member States - And How Downing Street Obliged
In response to the question, how will the McCanns be remembered, one Mirror Forum member wrote:
“they will become a leading force in the world to get rid of the hidden evil in our society, and to out those who try to cover up for the tragedies these criminals can cause”.
For a couple who were at this time suspects in their daughter's disappearence, the statement brokered something of a paradox; just how could these two ordinary individuals who had been openly pilloried for their routine negligence transform themselves into credible figureheads for law-enforcement overnight? Within the time it took to finish one glass of wine and discover one of your children missing, the McCanns exchanged their prison-issue denims for outfits tailored to a more 'practical' design.
And what at first had sounded like a most absurd suggestion by one deluded forum member steadily acquired some semblance of authority.

Does anyone 'know' if a KM/MP 'backed', SYP, CRA 'alert' was 'sent out' about 'missing' Conley Thompson?
If NOT, why not?
He was a 7 years old child, 'missing' from home.
