Mirage your childhood memory song has reduced me to tears, thinking that Madeleine could well have sung this song when she started school, a step in life she sadly never experienced.
Sorry to have made you cry, Nina. I had the same image in my head as I wrote it, albeit for Tony.
Eh Mirage no probs . It just hit a raw nerve that often brings the tears when I think about vulnerable children being neglected and abused.
It is brilliant to see so many people coming forward and wishing Tony well, he needs to know just what support he has got.

Good luck Tony.
I wish I could be there and do more to support you but I will be thinking about you next week.
You may not have realised it, but you have taught me a great deal about fairness and justice which has made me a better person. This I am applying in my work and private life.
GOOD LUCK

Dr Amaral found or got very close to the truth, they fear it, and you have somewhere amongst what you have written, inadvertently repeated his view.
We are not sure what exact piece of information is the crucial one, the clincher, so they have to shut down the entire discussion.
Is it now a case of "If you don't go to prison, we will" ?
A case of 'rather you' than 'us' even though we are the evil doers.

I´m very busy at the moment but I had to find some minutes to say hello to all of you and wish Mr. Tony Bennett the best outcome for the next week.
No matter whatever will happen the truth will be on the public domain one day.
Good luck Mr. Bennett, more and more people are becoming aware of the inconsistences of this case and will slowly continue to fight for justice. No doubt about it.

Hi, Tony Bennett,
I am one of those who dips in and out of the forum. I've been following this bizarre case from the offset, on one forum or another.
I would like to say that I think you are very courageous to stand and face "The Machine". I am always on the side of the truth and free speech and I really hope that you come out of this on top.
All I know for sure about this whole sordid affair, is that an awful lot of people have told an awful lot of lies about what happened in PDL that week.
Something is being covered up and the truth is being kept from us and the wider public.
The lies, inconsistencies, and blatant bull, along with the endless court cases, threats of suing anyone who questions, the involvement of such rich and powerful players, tells me that whatever the truth is, it must be something very big and something far more serious and damaging than what they want us to - no, insist that we believe, i.e. a simple abduction of the child of two common or garden, run of the mill medics who were on a cheap, low season package holiday with a few pals.
I therefore take my hat off to you, Tony, for putting your head above the parapet. I wish you all the best.

I endorse those previous statements. This is one of my infrequent visits to this forum, though I post elsewhere, where both sides of the fence 'debate'.
I hope that the Mccanns continue to get a taste of their own medicine, something they so richly deserve.

In a rare radio interview, the brave mother says: 'I always pray for the family - most of the prayers are centred on Madeleine. But I pray for the people who have taken Madeleine and the people who know what has happened to her.' Kate, from Leicestershire in the…
Dr Kate McCann on Dr Goncalo Amaral:
"I needed to see the whites of his eyes...Not sure how I feel about seeing Mr Amaral...I know I'm not scared but that man has caused me so much upset and anger because of how he has treated by beautiful Madeleine and the search to find her. He deserves to be miserable and feel fear".

You cant try and forgive a criminal who has stolen your child in a henous crime and which you are spending hundreds of thousands of pounds to find and bring to justice who wrecked your life and wish hate on a man doing their job trying to find said criminal, irrespective of what his teams thoughts were on the case, in the end, they were doing their job, end of,its insane
Ended up spending hundreds of thousands pursuing him and others it seems to destruction instead, hmmm, how warped and money wasting is THAT? unless of course there was no abductor, alot might make sense

I think it's a man with an available straight white jacket that's needed here Tony.
All through this the Mccann's have liked to portray an image of themselves which is incongruent to what actually happens.
The Mccann's are extremely egotistical, they revel in their fame and notoriety. Especially as they surround themselves with the alleged 'great and good'
Deep down they know that people who abandon their children to get drunk with their friends are reprehensible.
They also know that worse than the aforementioned people that abandon their children and misuse their medical privileges to drug their children which have problems sleeping (as might be evidenced by a star chart on a fridge) and who evidently aren't willing to put in some of the tough work of parenting are immoral.
Furthermore, they would certainly think that the people in such a scenario as just described upon coming home to find a child that they thought was drugged to sleep had infact woken, climbed on the sofa to peer out the window looking for their parents yet had slipped and cracked their head open on the floor and died, would lose their careers, their other children and what the Mccann's might consider the worst of the lot - their reputations.
The Mccann's then might understand why people might like to cover something like this up, as with so much to lose the idea of a cover up wasn't so bad. Although these 'people' would find covering something of this magnitude up very tough and they might go to extreme measures to maintain the facade and to ease their conscience. At times there would be slips... these people might write a book where they might describe a very particular method of suicide which one might suggest would be related to where the body might be... as if this happened it would be perfectly reasonable to expect the people with the high maintenance cost of keeping up the facade dreaming of being reunited.
They might say something like:
"I had an overwhelming urge to swim out across the ocean as hard and as fast as I could; to swim and swim and swim until I was so far out and so exhausted I could just allow the water to pull me under and relieve me of this torment.
"I wasn't keeping that desire to myself, either. I was shouting it out to anyone who happened to be in the room. Both this urge and the expression of it were, I suppose, an outlet for the crucifying anguish.
"Somehow, inflicting physical pain on myself seemed to be the only possible way of escaping my internal pain."
If someone is feeling this sort of internal pain, it might be understandable how attacking other people might relieve some of that pain, as would hanging out with the 'great and the good' as they feel their only alternative would be suicide.
Forgiving 'kidnappers' is all about the relief of inner pain. Forgiving Kidnappers is considered a noble thing by the general public.
THE tragic death of Adam Rogers at just 24 has led to an unexpectedly positive outcome for two other people.
One is Mark Smith, who received the fitness coach’s pancreas and kidney and was then able to start a family.
The other is Billy Upton, the youth who KILLED Adam and who is turning his life around — with input from his victim’s father, Dave.
In an act of amazing bravery, the grieving 78-year-old arranged to meet Upton as he served his prison sentence for manslaughter last year — and has FORGIVEN the teenager for killing his son.

Umar Tufail, 25, was shot in the head as he sat in his car outside his home in Wharncliffe Road, South Norwood, on July 15.
His father, Sajid Tufail, told the Advertiser the gunman had "taken the life of someone who wanted nothing but good for everyone".
But the 48-year-old said he had learned from the way his son lived his life and is prepared to forgive.
He said: "I can talk about taking revenge but Umar's view on life was 'forgive and forget'.
"There's hatred out there but you have to rise above it. I look upon life like he did. These guys have done wrong but I feel sorry for them as much as anything http://www.thisiscroydontoday.co.uk/Umar-Tufail-s-father-forgive-son-s-killer-won-t/story-16602747-detail/story.html

The nightmares for Nelson have since tapered off and he has a family of his own in Calgary. Although 41 years have passed, he wants to see the man who killed his mom caught.
"My dad always said that if and when this guy was ever caught that he would go and tell him that he forgives him. My brother and I both said as difficult as it might be, if it was ever solved, we would try and honour dad's wishes," said Nelson, noting the tragedy brought his extended family closer together.

"It makes you who you are. You can't help but be scarred by what I've been through, but at the same time I've been very blessed with the family that I've had."
Whenever most people read articles like the above the most general automatic thought is 'how could they do it', 'i couldn't', yet you also show respect and reverence as until you are in that situation you feel you could never comprehend. By Kate following a mantra like that, its about what it has always been for them... enhancing and protecting their egos. It massages her ego (and perhaps somewhere she hopes that people will remember this and forgive her)
Hiring PR, solicitors etc etc is also all about protecting their egos, yet you can't protect against extraneous variables.
People like Mr Tony Bennett, Pat Brown and Mr Goncalo Amaral are the extraneous variables. They are the sharp needles that can burst their bubble.
It might be argued that her hatred spewed RE: Amaral is actually an expression of her inner torment and how she feels about herself, yet also the bile is so venomous because she is precisely aware of what might happen if the truth did out. They would be worse of than the situation the people might find themselves in who would have owned up about drugging their children whilst they got drunk, whilst one of them woke up and through an accident died within the apartment.
When an animal has backed itself into a corner, sometimes all it can do is fight... Yet animals do tire as it takes up so much energy to keep up that level of antagonism and aggression. In recent photos we've seen how tired the Mccann's have become. This might be evidenced by giving up on the Goncal Trial. So they're picking their battles now and will probably get you on breach of undertakings, they will lord over this PR coup and you will be demonised... until that is the libel trial which your good judge thinks is appropriate. This will be the opportunity to take the Mccann's down... yet we know that will try everything to prevent that from happening, by offering all sorts of deals your way and at the same time continuing to skew media reporting by focusing on the breach of undertakings thing whilst avoiding any trial. I hope you have the strength to take them all the way to the libel trial and wish you luck.
I'm sure SY are also circling, we know that the police helped the Portuguese to develop their evidence against the Mccann's.
There is only one way all this evidence leads and one SY have ruled out all those ridiculous alternatives by psychics etc and eliminated all the impossible, as the saying goes.. what ever else is left is the truth, no matter how improbable!

Re: Thinking of you Tony - Good luck!
I just wanted to add my support for Tony along with everyone else and to wish him the best of luck for Tuesday and Wednesday.
I am keeping my fingers, toes and eyes crossed and I hope truth and justice will prevail and will come out on your side, Tony. I, like many on this Board, will be thinking about you.
As I've mentioned previously I went through a very nasty court case which was dragged out for two years (but ended in December with the Judge coming out on my side) so I have some idea of what it feels like and if I'd lost I may have had to sell my house, or remortgaged it, to pay the other side's costs and compensation claim. I wasn't facing a jail sentence, the wrath of the McCanns nor some very, very, very expensive lawyers, although the person who took out the case against me was vindictive but was nowhere in the same league as the McCanns. Her Barrister, also a nasty piece of work, didn't adhere herself to the Judge during the final trial. In fact she really got on his nerves, he got irritable with her and shot her down in flames on several occasions when she was trying to twist my words into something that hadn't happened.
Anyway, I wish you well and I sincerely hope everything turns out OK.

Re: Thinking of you Tony - Good luck!
Good luck Tony...you must be feeling very anxious... but nowhere near as anxious as the McCanns will be, they are terrified of the truth and this truth will be your strongest defence. Hold firm you brave man I have a good feeling inside.

Re: Thinking of you Tony - Good luck!
Just stopped by for a brief moment to express my thanks to each and every one of you who's taken the time and trouble to post your messages backing me on Tuesday. They all mean a very great deal to me, I can assure you.
Dr Kate McCann admitted in her book 'madeleine' that it was, quote ' almost impossible' to stop the 'widespread defmation' of the McCanns on the internet.
But they must have calculated that spending £288,503, perhaps more, who knows - not to silence me altogether, but merely to stop me repeating three core alleagtions in Dr Amaral's book - is well worth it.
So their lawyers must have advised them.
So their public relations advisers must have advised them.
Dr Kate McCann also said in her book that she reserved the right to 'pick our battles'.
That brings to mind a quotation from that well-known Italian philosopher amd part-time footballer for Manchester City, 'Super' Mario Balotelli:
'WHY ALWAYS ME?'

Dr Martin Roberts: "The evidence is that these are the pjyamas Madeleine wore on holiday in Praia da Luz. They were photographed and the photo handed to a press agency, who released it on 8 May, as the search for Madeleine continued. The McCanns held up these same pyjamas at two press conferences on 5 & 7June 2007. How could Madeleine have been abducted?"
Amelie McCann (aged 2): "Maddie's jammies!".

Because you are leaving "No Stone Un-turned" Tony, and what nasty little grubs you've managed to find under those stones has scared them witless!
