Missing Ruth & José are dead

Two Spanish children, who went missing last year October, have been confirmed to be dead.
Their father claimed that he lost them in a park and they must have been kidnapped, but police arrested and jailed him whilst investigating the case.

Today it has been published that they are dead. The bones, which the police found in a bonfire at their father estate early in the investigation, have been tested again, this time commissioned by their mother and the family, and proof to be human. This in contrast to the "result" of the first forensic analysis, which excluded them to be human and rather thought they would be rodents ... wft

Rodents? Surely there is a bit of a difference in size between rodent bones and children's bones, unless we are talking some kind of James Herbert 'Rats' style rodents?

How many of these cases do we read about where it is the parents who are involved? The list gets longer all the time.

Re the rodents, it's most bizarre! I read somewhere that dogs may have been used and alerted to the charred bones. If that turns out to be the case, it's very bad news indeed for the forensic scientists.

Her skeletal remains were found in a wooded area near her home on December 11, 2008. Her then 22-year-old mother, Casey Marie Anthony, was tried for the first degree murder of Caylee but acquitted. She was, however, convicted of misdemeanor counts of providing false information to police officers.

This case of Isabel Celis is similar to Madeleine case, in that the parents claim she was taken from her bedroom and the window open and screen pushed aside, I cannot find any news for her after May 2012, so I presume she is still missing................

Good thing the Police detained him while investigating or the two poor children may be deprived of justice.

Human mistaken as rodents, the scientists who concluded that forensics should be hauled up to answer questions.
Even amateurs shouldn't and couldn't have got that wrong. It's a hideous mistake.

Lisa Irwin - disappeared under suspicious circumstances. Mother and father claim intruder must have come into home and taken her. Cadaver dogs indicated on floor next to parents bed.
There is a thread on this forum about her.

Jon Benet Ramsey - old case but suspicion remain against the parents. Interesting dissection of the "ransom " note on statement analysis blogspot recently.

Body of a 5 yr old reported missing in the US has been found hidden in a rubbish bin.
Isabella Sarah Tennant was at her grandmother's house, and was reported missing at 6am on Monday.
16 year old family friend who was the last person known to have seen her alive is in custody and will be charged with murder

It is NOT a mistake to raise the inference that a child of 3, missing for over 72 hours, is dead.

The case of Michael Manning in Boulder, Colorado, is a case in point, and was much-discussed at the time of JonBenet Ramsey’s murder.

Like Madeleine McCann, Michael Manning was 3 years old when he “disappeared.” His mother insisted repeatedly that Michael was living with “friends of the family” but refused to identify these friends, claiming that if she did, Social Services would take her son away from her.

A lot of people in Colorado sympathised with this mother’s apparent plight.

A judge who hadn’t completely been cowed by public support sentenced the mother to jail for contempt of court. She still refused to talk, sat in jail for three months, and the public was just aghast at how mean the judge and police were to this poor, poor woman who was just trying to keep custody of her son.

The supportive public was very surprised that, when a police detective offered to treat the mother as a witness rather than a suspect, the mother immediately declared that she and her boyfriend had killed 3-year-old Michael by “using him as a punch-bag.” They then hid Michael’s body by wrapping it in a green blanket and shower curtain, stuffing it into an air conditioning vent, and then moving it to an irrigation ditch during the snowy, icy winter.

Elizabeth Manning was not a heart surgeon, not a cardiac consultant, not a GP.

But what a deal she cut for herself!

Because the police hadn’t given her any warnings about self-incrimination, and had offered to treat her solely as a witness, all the evidence against her, including her own statement and her son’s body, was declared inadmissible.

Elizabeth Manning and her lover were charged with felony child abuse and assault – the only criminal charges left. Elizabeth pleaded guilty and was out in a year. Her lover received a ten-year sentence. I’m not sure how much of that he actually served.

So you see, lightning can strike, and strike and strike and strike, and still, the guilty go relatively unpunished and unscathed, and the child is dead…

Victim: Marina Sabatier's body was found in a trunk filled with cement after she was reportedly abducted

The parents of an eight-year-old schoolgirl have been charged with murder after beating her to death and hiding her corpse in a trunk filled with cement because she was ‘greedy’.

The Mafia-style disposal of the body of Marina Sabatier, from the French city of Le Mans, followed months of abuse by Eric Sabatier, 37, and his partner Virginie Darras, 30.

Prosecutors told how the pair initially claimed she had been abducted from the family car while Sabatier went to buy burgers at McDonalds.

The fake kidnapping made headlines across France until Friday, when Sabatier claimed they had found Marina dead six weeks ago and hidden her body in panic.

But on Saturday both he and Darras confessed to beating her to death.

As well as murder, they were charged with a variety of other offences including abduction and violence against a minor. Both face life imprisonment.

State prosecutor Chantal Moulin-Bernard said Sabatier, a removals man, and his partner had four other children from previous relationships. Marina came in for especially cruel treatment because she had mild Down’s syndrome, and was often underfed.

‘They beat Marina in an especially brutal manner, mainly because she was greedy and always asking for food,’ said Mrs Moulin-Bernard.

‘The child was locked in a cellar one night, and was found inanimate in the morning. The body was initially hidden in a deep freeze at another site, before being put in a trunk which was filled with cement.’

It was found in store room of the company where Sabatier worked in Le Mans, north-west France.

When Marina’s half-brothers and sisters asked where she was they were told ‘she’s on holiday at the seaside,’ said Mrs Moulin-Bernard.

In a case which has shocked France, teachers said they had alerted Social Services to bruises found all over Marina’s body at two primary schools she attended, but investigations were scrapped.

‘We did what we could but to no effect,’ said Jean-Luc Dubois, the headmaster of Coulans-sur-Gee primary school who voiced concerns about Marina in April.

‘We were particularly worried because Marina was the subject of a report from a neighbouring village.’

Marina was a notoriously thin pupil, and would regularly try and steal food from the plates of other children, said Mr Dubois.

The Prefect of the Sarthe department has now ordered an investigation, with social workers putting the tragedy down to the family frequently changing address.

Over the past five years they had moved no less than five times, so making it hard for anybody to keep up with what they were doing.

The couple, who have four other children from previous partners, simply blamed the bruises on a fall.

It is the second time this year that French social services have missed a serious case of child abuse.

Earlier this year, a seven-year-old boy was released from a house in the southern town of Millau where he had been locked up in secret since he was born.

The body of a 8 years old girl, who died a month ago but whose parents had invented a scenario of abduction, was found on Friday by the French gendarmerie at Le Mans after 24 hours of research, according to a judicial source.

The father confessed in police custody having invented the story of abduction, said the prosecutor Joelle Rieutort.

"He confessed after the police pointed contradictions" and "fairly quickly said the abduction was a fake" she said to reporters.

Both parents were placed in custody.

The body of the little girl was found after her father's confession in a container in a warehouse belonging to the company where he works.

In custody, he ensured that the girl died in the first days of August of "natural death", he said his body had been kept in a freezer at the couple's previous home, says Ms. Rieutort.

"The autopsy will be conducted as soon as possible. There are no apparent signs of violence," she said.

The father alerted police Wednesday on the alleged disappearance of the girl. He claimed that he briefly left the child alone, asleep in his car on a fast food restaurant parking, just the time to pick up food with his 10 years old son.

Nearly 150 policemen were mobilized on Thursday and have been looking for the little girl.

For three days now fifty detectives have been searching for the 4-year-old Younes Jratlou who disappeared from his parents' home in Komen-Waasten near the French border wearing only a nappy and no shoes. According to his parents and 9-year-old brother, Younes probably left the home while his parents were having a row. The mother was hit and a bedroom window broken. Police dogs trained in tracking blood trails were released in his room on Monday and yesterday police officers with dogs searched until two in the morning, but without any success. The parents made confusing statements in respect of Younes' disappearance, but the police did not find any incriminating elements.

A little boy Youness, one year ago, disappeared from the parents house (Border France Belgium) during the night, and found dead in a river a week after, with blows on the face.

The father claimed he would find the abductor. Today, the parents were charged and arrested. The results of the post mortem indicate that the child had been volintary suffocated shortly after he disappeared from the house. They were charged for having hit and killed the child, without intention to kill him, perhaps during a violent row that took place between them that night.

The parents didn't confess but the Procureur said that there are enough clues to charge them. She said it's not proved they are the culprits but with this inculpation, they are able to see the minutes of the files and to be in position to defend themselves.

I went to the dentist in Italy for a check up yesterday and my dentist asked me about this case, possibly because I am British. He said that it is similar to a recent case in Italy. A mother battered her toddler to death, said she went out, leaving him sleeping in the house, whilst she took the other child to the bus stop and them claimed that someone had entered the house, which was open by the way, she claimed, and killed her child. The Italian mother was on TV always perfectly presented and groomed and never looked distressed.

She just got convicted for killing the child. Can’t remember the mother’s name but will have a look to see if I can find anything. There are quite a few similarities in the case…Her husband, family and friends swear she is innocent too!

1. Incidentally, you have yet to comment on the unfortunate failure of Collette Douglas Home even to note the passing of little Elisha Allen, reported in the Herald on the day that Ms Douglas called upon us all to declare war on child abduction.

Little Elisha was killed ‘in a sudden loss of self-control’ by her father, who finally admitted it some 15 months after her death.

Wasn't she worth some ballonns, as well?

What I think would be the most useful thing is to tell us, in each case, what really happened. Also, age and sex of the perpetrator. Whether a wife/husband, partner or friend helped in the cover-up. Whether the person confessed or was found out. If so, how was the truth established?

In every case these children were reported as having been “abducted”, and in every case they had been harmed by members of their own family, who had made that false report. Only Shannon escaped with her life.
These cases date back no further than 2007. [correction needed if I have got this wrong]

Every one of these children was included on the lists of “Abducted” children, about which people make so much fuss and from which they make so much money. Interestingly some of these names still have not been removed from those lists.

Missing Children, the charity for which Kate McCann is an “Ambassador” removed their reference to Tia Sharp as soon as her body was found, but left no explanation, no sign of condolence, no words of comfort, and importantly no thanks to the people who had been searching.
Perhaps they were too embassrassed at having been taken in again.

There is also the case of 6-year-old Kiesha Abrahams who was reported missing from her home in Australia. Her mother and partner are awaiting trial for her murder.

A similar case in America is that of 3-year-old Aaliyah Lunsford but as yet she has not been found and nobody has been charged.

No, but a missing person case. And the dogs alerted decades after the death. Needs to go on the list with a couple of qualifying words.
