So who lied on oath? Gordon Brown tells Leveson he did not 'declare war' in 'unhinged' phone threat to Murdoch that mogul claimed in his evidence
The former PM denied he called Mr Murdoch to threaten him with war after The Sun backed the Tories
News Corp issue statement saying Rupert Murdoch 'stands by his evidence'
Sarah and I never gave permission for the Sun to print a story about his son Fraser's cystic fibrosis, he said
Rebekah Brooks told Leveson she did get permission from No. 10, which means Mr Brown has also accused her of lying
Asked why his wife remained friends with Rebekah Brooks afterwards, 'My wife is the most forgiving person I know,' he said
He also said he could never accept James Murdoch's plans to reform the media because they were 'breathtaking in its arrogance and its ambition'
He claims he never instructed his special advisers to brief against Tony Blair
George Osborne will follow Mr Brown as he answers questions about the BSkyB takeover and the appointment of Andy Coulson

Too long to copy the lot, but very specific allegations about the difference in evidence between GB and RB, and between GB and RM.
Good stuff !

Extremely direct/concise answers from GB. No loss of memory.

Leveson: Are Things About To Get Worse?

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] June 11, 2012 4:39 PM

Few who remember Gordon Brown as Chancellor and Prime Minister will have seen him as he saw himself.

According to his evidence to the Leveson Inquiry, he was calm and seldom got angry.

He had little interest in what the newspapers said about him. He never courted Rupert Murdoch and other proprietors.

And he never authorised his staff to brief and scheme against Tony Blair or anyone else.

The Brown version was given unchallenged by the inquiry QC - even though the most frequent epithet used to describe it by veteran journalists was "jaw dropping".

The question is what Leveson will do with all this testimony. For example, either Mr Brown or Rupert Murdoch must have lied under oath about the declare war phone call.

The inquiry is deeply embarrassing for press and politicians alike - but is it about to get a whole lot worse?

Not Rupert Murdoch@RupertMurdochPR
Will [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] will be called back to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to explain why 2 former PMs contradicted his given-under-oath testimony? Hot tip: Yes

Our World Our Say@ourworldoursay

MT [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] has heard not one but two former PMs CLAIM that Rupert Murdoch lied under oath. What will he do about that?
