I doubt the PJ has time to read BS's book which is rather confuse and repetitive. But they would certainly watch a video if the content was clearly exposed to them. So either they already watched and have taken measures that must remain confidential, either they didn't receive yet (give BS the benefit of the doubt) the famous videos.
SY has no power to directly investigate in PT.

Have you read GA's book, Ladyinred ? The passage where he tries to bury his tiny dog ? Excavators would be needed and it's not easy to get them to the site, especially as the location is not a precise spot. The PJ showed exceptional patience on several occasions, notably in convincing customs to let Krügel's hair machine through when he didn't want to unpack it. The PJ dug up the spot indicated by BS and noticed that there were mainly stones and very little soil.
That said, in order to determine the exact location and avoid wasting energy and incurring exorbitant costs, it would be necessary to bring a dog as excellent as Eddie into the field. If BS has video evidence of a regular MC presence in the area, why doesn't he hand it over to PJ? After all, they're the ones with jurisdiction in this case!

Agree. Why is the Portuguese Police so silent? Didn't BS contact the police? And what about Scotland Yard?

The problem is we don't know what deal was done when yhe PJ shelved the case because governments were involved,

Scotland Yard are not interested in anything other than impossible abduction.

Out of interest the Eagle Eye villa does anyone know if it is used as a holiday rental or is someone’s actual residence?

On completion it was offered for Private Sale.
I am not sure who bought it but they planned and built it on a previous Property 'the Toilet Bowl' Villa which was connected to either Mark Warner or the Ocean Club group.

Thanks for the link for Villa Eagle Eye It’s a stunning property I wonder if it was the owners that live there who had the garden survey done that Bernt mentioned in his interview,
If you zoom in on the bedroom there are photographs on show I thought for a minute one of the photo’s resembled someone I had a sharp intake of breath although it’s deffo my over active imagination getting the better of me

Bernt doesn't name the Nuggets in the book...he just refers to them as Mr and Mrs Nugget.

He knows who they are, and where they live, though. And the Nuggets will know who he's referring to when they read the book.

According to 192 . com. when I looked a few months ago Mr & Mrs Murat are registered on the voters roll at an address in Exeter. however they may still have property in the Algarve

Aw, Jill - you know more than we do - we're bursting for more info. The Nuggets are a middle aged, old fashioned couple (one is male, the other female) with a dog. I haven't a clue, though I think they will turn out to be people we know about. I'm not fishing for info, merely purporting a theory...

We haven't heard their names before.

Whilst Bermt has contacted me, I am not at liberty to repeat anything he tells me unless he gives me permission. I respect what he's doing.

Peter will update us all, as and when.

I will also say that Bernt is not in this for the money - he's sent out many free copies of his book and even replaced the one I chopped up so I could read it without painkillers.

Bernt is in this for closure...for Madeleine Beth McCann.

I'm not sure I understand your question - why would he need to go through a volunteer translators site (pamalam) to conduct a private investigation?

I agree with everyone. It would be great to have a solution but Bernt has devoted so much time to this, it would be awful if something went wrong because he didnt time things properly. I think we need to trust his instinct and will him to take the right action at the right time.

Bernt wrote the book IN ENGLISH - his second language, and had it translated into Portuguese so it would be easily accessible to – amongst others – the PJ !
There is no Norwegian version.
The postage alone for the free copies he has sent to people to review and to get his hypothesis better known is over €1500, which also represents about another €1850 in printing costs and delivery to him.
My own bill is somewhat less, but not inconsiderable. It was judged necessary for Operation Brick to move forward

Did anyone receive a free copy of Jon Clarke's book ? Even to review ? Or Summers and Swann's ? Or Kate McCann's ?
Or did they all know that no one who knew anything about the case would be remotely impressed ?

He acknowledges both Nigel Moore and Pamalam in the introduction and is in contact with her.

And for the record - HE paid for the professional translators for the book, which with start up costs for the whole project amount to some tens of thousands,
now add professional quality TrailCams, memory chips, batteries and 7 years of petrol, accommodation and loss of income . . .
and we realise that he is unlikely ever to break even, particularly if he keeps sending out free copies !!!
