To ask His Majesty's Government what funding is being made available to Operation Grange into the disappearance of Madeline McCann in the financial year 2024–25; how many police officers are currently involved in the investigation; when the next review of funding will occur; and what are the total costs of the police operation to date.

For the year 2024-25 the Home Office has agreed to provide up to £192,000 to the Metropolitan Police Service through Special Grant funding for Operation Grange, the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. At 31 March 2024, the total cost of the investigation was £13.2m.
Operation Grange’s Special Grant budget currently funds a team of three police officers and one member of police staff, all of whom operate on a part-time basis.
Special Grant funding is reviewed annually by the Home Office. The Department also liaises regularly with the Operation Grange investigation team to assess progress and challenge the use of funds as necessary.

I think he has been reading PeterMac's e book whilst doing his research.

If he had he'd have said Maddie died on 29th or 30th April, not 2nd May.

He's bound to have some of his own theories as well as getting information from different sources.

He said Danie Krugel's gonna go there with his ground-penetrating lawn-mower-type thingy...why didn't he do that before the book was published?

There are some things we won't know until/if we read the book.
It could just be another book or there could be something in it that is new to us and could lead somewhere.

The final resting place is quite a crucial part of the jigsaw.

Exactly 17 years ago today, 3-year-old Maddie disappeared without a trace from her parents' holiday flat in Portugal. 

An amateur investigator now surprises everyone and claims to have solved the case.

The German Federal Criminal Police Office, Scotland Yard and the Portuguese criminal investigation department have been investigating the case. Now amateur investigator Bernt Stellander claims to have solved the case on his own. The former military policeman from Norway, who claims to have done so, did not hand over the evidence to the police, but instead wrote a book, which is now for sale in Portugal. 
At a press conference ten minutes from the place where Maddie disappeared, Stellander presented his ‘evidence’ and explained his daring theory.

The amateur investigator claims that Maddie probably died on the evening of 2 May 2007.

Under the influence of sleeping pills, she fell from the sofa onto her head and died in the OC Apartment 5A. The parents are said to have gone out for dinner during this time.

Kate and Gerry McCann, the parents, are said to have initially hidden the body in the village's cemetery and then faked the abduction, Stellander claims. Almost three weeks later, they buried the child in the mountains near Luz. According to the amateur investigator, all seven friends who were on holiday with the McCanns were involved in the operation. A nanny is also said to have been involved, stating that she was on the beach with Maddie and other children during the day on 3 May. Stellander even claims that English investigators know the truth - but are protecting the McCanns.

 What does the amateur investigator base his theses on? On interview passages from the McCanns and their friends, which Stellander has interpreted in a very idiosyncratic way. Individual words or gestures had ‘betrayed’ them, for example, or friends had contradicted each other in individual interrogations.

According to Stellander, he had sent anonymous emails for years in which he confronted them with his theories. Eventually, however, ‘suspicious people’ appeared in front of his wildlife cameras set up at stratigic Locations in Portugal - who ‘did suspicious things’.

The German newspaper ‘Bild’ investigated Stellander's claims. It wanted to know why the parents would want to conceal a tragic accidental death? Or why so many of those involved would keep quiet for 17 years? ‘We can only speculate about that,’ was the short answer.

Why didn't he hand over his ‘evidence’ to the police, especially as a man accused of Maddie's murder is currently on trial in Germany? 
Stellander explains that he wrote an email to the public prosecutor's office - anonymously. However, there was no response.

‘Under the pressure of the new evidence’, he now expects Maddie's parents to give in. He also believes it is possible that Maddie's remains will now be found. In his book, he also writes an approximate location where she is supposed to be buried. He himself has already searched - but has not found her.

The mystery to me is why conceal Madeleine's body. 
 Most of the evidence points to Madeleine died in 5a, I am inclined to think it was from neglect and in my opinion, I don't think sexual abuse was the cause of not notifying the authorities, I am not saying I definately know this to be the cause, I don't know, it's just my opinion.
Not a chance the McCann's will own up to anything and we don't yet know if any new evidence has been produced in the book but there could just be a chance it may add another piece to the puzzle.

I’ve just watched the video part of the You Tube.
interesting, and above all coherent.
He talks about the last photo and the dogs, and Peter Hyatt’s analyses.
I shall be fascinated to see the Grave-cam footage when he puts it on his website - which is registered but not live yet.
He puts the date of death as Tuesday 2/5/7 which can be debated, but may not make much different to the overall theme.
I shall also be interested to see he identifies a possible location for the freezer, and if he clicks in to Pat B’s theory that Gerry became aware that the dogs were
on their way whilst he was in the US, scooted quickly back, and they buried her quickly . He suggests they chose a spot they already knew and did not need further reconnaissance
as soon as we find the outlet I shall buy a copy and report back

If Maddie died on 29th April...giving time for her to be in the church...

and was disposed of on 1 or 2 May, prior to the Benny Hill abduction scenario kicking off on the 3rd....
