Halligen ripped the McCanns fund off for however much it was , bad news but lets not forget the McCanns ripped the public off because the public have given money to search for a child that the McCannd know to be dead.
When Amaral sold his book and now this with Halligen old Clarence starts spouting off about how sick it is that people are looking to make money out of their ~~golden goose~~ sorry Madeleine. Is the bloody irony lost on him given that that is exactly what her own parents have done and he himself does by the very nature of his job in controling what comes out in the media abouit her? And even worse than that he makes sure that Madeleine will not get justice and those responsible for her death are never brought to book. He is worse than all the money makers in this story..He has a cheek to even say it. Do you think he knows this or is unaware of how brass necked he appears?

the dogs are wrong
all those who say the fund is a fraud are wrong
the official pj files are wrong.
all the bloggers who say madeleine died in 5a are wrong.
the only person who is right according to the mccanns is J T with her 8 faces of egg man :D

I think the Mccann attitude to the Fund was summed up very nicely by Gerry when they were made arguidos and he complained about having all this money they were unable to use for their lawyers.
They never did see the Fund as donations to look for Madeleine, but rather as monies to be dipped into to pay for their mortgage or anything else they fancied. IMO the reason they think in this way is because they know what happened to Madeleine.

They have to keep up the pretence or admit she is dead and then they cant ask for donations...besides denial makes people do crazy things, some can even believe their own bullsh*t..Bizzare then given that that they sat in their room all night when others trawled the streets to look for her.

The problem is that they could easily let everything rest and everyone forget about it. By keeping it in the public eye they run the risk of jogging someone's memory. However it never has, no new witnesses, no new leads and no new suspects. The PJ have archived the case and by all reports the PJ are not interested in re-opening the case.

They like to sue...take the DX...in his shoes my husband would be goig mad to be accused of this especially given that yvonne the child protection officer recognised him...and he was the alst to see madeleine,presumably alive...Maybe he went shy so that also expalins not retruning for the reconstruction.
