MADELEINE MCCANN’S parents are urging British holidaymakers to hang up posters of their missing daughter while the tourists are abroad.

Kate and Gerry McCann’s three-year-old child went missing on a family holiday to Praia da Luz, in Portugal, in May 2007. Now they are still hoping for a breakthrough in the tragic case by endorsing a new Find Maddie campaign, which aims to spread awareness in tourist hotspots. The campaign said: “Are you going on holiday?

“Please consider taking our luggage tags and posters.

“You can download and print from home. If you do hang the poster, please ask permission first.

“Thank you for not giving up on Madeleine. It could be the poster that brings Madeleine home.”

The posters can be downloaded from the campaign’s website.

They are also available in almost 20 languages, including Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic and Russian.

The posters have photographs of Madeleine which were taken shortly before she vanished, as well as computer-generated, age-enhanced images.

Some of the messages on the posters include “Have you seen me”, “Don’t give up on me” and “Someone, somewhere knows where Madeleine is”.

The website also said: “Fortunately, there are many cases of abducted children being found and returned to their families - even after long periods of time.

“The vital piece of information that leads to a happy and longed-for reunion is usually thanks to a caring and vigilant member of the general public, often recognising a face from a poster.

“In fact, 1 in 6 children are recovered after being recognised from a poster!

“It is for this reason that we must continue to remind people of Madeleine and the fact that she is still missing.

“We are extremely grateful therefore to everyone for downloading and displaying a poster - It could be the poster that brings Madeleine home.”

Madeleine’s parents marked the 12-year anniversary of her disappearance on May 3 earlier this year.

Her 16th birthday was also this year.

Since the disappearance, Scotland Yard has applied for funding from the Home Office every six months to continue the McCann inquiry named Operation Grange.

It has cost around £12million so far.

The wording of the last one, the Spanish one, is particularly poignant.

NO ME ABANDONES translates most closely as
Don't leave me.

The use of the second person singular, the familar tu form, indicates a close relationship.

Were these Madeleine's last words to her parents ? ? ? ?

I think that's stretching things a bit too far....but then again this little girl's life has been stretched to the limit.

As can be seen, the same image was used at a press conference in May (that month again) 2012 to indicate what Madeleine might look like at age nine.

Again the question rears it's ugly head. What are we, the general populace, supposed to be 'searching' for? A one year old ... a two year old ... a three year old ... a four year old ... an eight year old .... a nine year old? Or a sixteen year old with only a dramatic stretch of the imagination to guide us?

I feel secure in the thought that not one single person on the planet - and beyond, will be daft enough to do as they are told to do. It is however a good marketing ploy to lure folk in the direction of that *drum roll* .... paypal donation button !!!

I have always believed the parents are involved. I don't feel they deliberately killed their daughter, it was accidental, but because of the believed paedophilia connection, had they given up her body they could not have then explained the findings of any post mortem, as sexual abuse would have been detected.
But what gets me is how on earth after twelve years they can still act as though they are innocent. How do you keep that up? Surely it would have been best left alone so that they just had got away with it!? And there is enough evidence, so why are they not dragged into Court for a proper investigation? They obviously do have friends in very high places! Surely though Madeleine must get some justice one day, let's hope so.

This is quite bizarre.
If we take the poster on the top as an example.
They are sending out posters of a 3 year old girl 12 years later and believe it will help the search to find her?
Outdated photo's seems to be their mantra.
It all started with an outdated photo of her when she went missing in pdl 2007.

Alex Woolfall of Bell Pottinger fame, was reported by Timesonline to have said..

The McCanns had photographs of Madeleine on their digital camera, which Mr Woolfall began transferring to a laptop computer. “I said to Kate, ‘Let’s try to identify pictures where her face is visible’. Downloading the images was a very difficult process for them. It was upsetting.

Ostensibly, they were searching for photographs for release to the world media, why that might be considering the McCanns friend Jon Corner already had a portfolio of Madeleine McCann photographs for release to all and sundry, on Friday 4th May 2007 - only a few hours after Madeleine McCann was reported missing, is a matter of conjecture. I guess it's a case of who you care to believe - if anyone!

That aside, this is the image decided upon by team McCann for release by the PJ..

Absolutely.
To bring out the most recent photo is one of the most important thing to do when a child goes missing and they had the most recent photos of her in their camera so the first feeling is that they tried to make it as hard as possible to find her, or let say impossible.
They also brought in the eye defect in the mix but we know from "Madeleine was here" where we could see one of the famous photo of Madeleine, on the wall behind Kate's computer in their Rothley house without this eye defect and now they recycle 12 years old photos to help the search?
Confusion is good.

Exactly, some holiday makers would have remembered her if this was a genuine case but I believe, as I said, the McCanns knew she was not to be found for some reasons.

True but don't you still think it a bit odd - more so considering in all probability they know where Madeleine is and they know she will never be found.

It's almost as though they are taking the proverbial.

On camera Gerald McCann is not averse to self indulgence - the odd smile, or should I say smirk.

The only occasion I can recall where he isn't smiling, laughing, smirking, showing disdain, once or twice anger, was in September 2007..

The next headline in the fake news will either be, hundreds of thousands McCann supporters downloaded the poster or that people were prevented from putting them up.

Either way, we have a story in the press.
