Re: Madeleine's parents seek support from London and Lisbon to review the case
OH BOY OH BOY ......I never thought this will come so SOON.
Good grief, I havent spilt side for a long time.
Them ACTUALLY initiating a petition giving people a chance to comment and to return their compliments what their side did to previous petitions by others!
Blimey heck, surely they could muster more signatures than nerely the pair of lying mccanns and their filthy mouth piece! 4 pathetic signatures is all they could rally from their side ! What a blxxdy joke!
What about their friends T7? And, what about their extended families and their rich and influential friends?
Or, for that matter what happened to the Board of Directors? Surely those overseeing fund could at least sign the petition, after all that's the purpose of the fund (to find out what happened to Maddie)!
Surely at least those people want to support the mccanns' petition to get the case re-open or review?
Something is in the air.....I cant help feeling. First German website then this timed with Halligen's trial!
What are they playing at?
It looks as if the HO and several HS are taking no notice of their plead for help.
It could only mean one thing: The HO and FCO know they are bluffingm ignoring them, and waiting for nature to take it course.
Judging by the comments, people are having a field day.
Signatures of their more notorious internet supporters are also missing ...where are these people? Running scared?

Re: Madeleine's parents seek support from London and Lisbon to review the case
They are only emulating the antis knowing that no police is interested in reviewing their case.
The polices are probably sitting on so much dirt on them that they prefer to wait till the right evidence to come along to reopen the case.
The mccanns may just get their wish if Amaral has his way to get the case reopened
...If it comes to that I bet the mccanns will refuse to cooperate despite their petition.
They are only bluffing.. just another phony side they try to keep up,,
We shall see wont we...which authority will take them seriously.
If the review should entail calling all those involved for testimony on oaths ...these people will flee again...and make excuses.....

Last ditch to save face you mean? Could well be that or the libel trial is coming up real SOON.
Otherwise they could be harvesting email addresses.

Less than 2 hours later the petition has now reached 4091 siggies - people are clearly taking time off work, aborting holidays and shopping expeditions to make sure they're online to sign this petition.

They are on Sky news. About 3/4 way through each hourly session. Interviewed by Martin Brunt. Complaining that it is "absolutely scandalous" that nothing more is being done by "the authorities"!

Does the journalist use her common sense?
Exoneration can only happen if there had been a Court ruling.
NOthing short of that is valid...it's the mccanns interpretation for obvious reasons.
Telling people the police given up on her speaks volume! So what are they driving at?

From the transcript you posted:
They are asking the public to sign a petition backing their calls for a review.
"The clock keeps ticking, the calendar keeps turning. There are days when we look at each other and think God I wish it was all over… I wish Madeleine was back with us full stop. But we can't stop, no matter how tiring, no matter how many blocks are put in our way because a little girl is still missing," said Mrs McCann.
Does anyone know if Madeleine was found alive and well - that she would be returned to live with her parents. She has been made a Ward of Court so I would have thought she would be placed in the care of the Council.
Does anyone know if this is correct.

This is the full 9 minute video from channel 4 news. The interviewer asks about Halligen and the dodgy detectives, and also did GM have a falling out with his brother over the fund. The first couple of seconds interesting to.

Thank you for posting this. I don't think Gerry seems his usual cocky self and kate seems to be doing a lot of chest heaving as she did in the footage of their stateent when the aguido status was lifted. They look a bit defeated and scared in my opinion.

Hi Pennylane, when the McCanns were talking about no authorities looking for Madeleine, I wish the interviewer had reminded them, that they were the ones who closed the investigation into Madeleine's disappearance, when they demanded the files.
If I was the interviewer, I would also have asked Gerry McCann, what he finds so funny, about a discussion into the whereabouts of his missing daughter.
If I was the interviewer, I would have been tempted to wipe the smile off the vile creep's face, by giving him a slap in the "kisser". I'm not a violent person, but I could make an exception in Gerry McCann's case. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Hi KathyB,
I was feeling a tad jubilant that Gerry was getting fidgety and breathless after a couple of those questions ..... and I have to admire a UK reporter that isn't completely sucking up to them...... though you are absolutely right, there are a few simple questions that would wipe the smugness away forever, and nobody seems willing to ask them.
I am not a violent person either, but I admit I have actually slapped my TV screen a few times when they've been on, and used some shocking language that I didn't know was a part of my vocabulary! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Madeleine's parents seek support from London and Lisbon to review the case
Good piece on Channel 4 news tonight. The interviewer (Darshna Soni) asked some good questions re the fund, Halligen etc. about the fund, and where the money had gone. Then they showed a piece where Channel 4 said they had been investigating the fund, quoting where some of the money had gone, again mentioning thousands going to Halligen. So it seems someone has been doing some digging.
It seems people are tweeting Darshna

Penny lane, I can't get my head round the fact that, the McCanns are still walking free and calling the shots, when they should be behind bars. The British media aren't backward in coming forward, when they interview certain people, but where the McCanns are concerned, they treat them with kid gloves. Although I do accept the interviewer on Channel 4, did ask them some uncomfortable questions and well done to her.pennylane wrote:kathyBelle wrote:pennylane wrote:Thank you for posting candyfloss. I'm hoping that Goncalo Amaral is working hard behind the scenes in his quest to get the case down from the shelf, dusted and the McCanns brought to justice. I know I appear to be selfish in what I am saying, but I feel that if Dr Amaral, succeeds in his quest, he will feel a lot better in himself. The McCanns have put a lot of strain on Dr Amaral and his family and they will continue behaving this way, until they are stopped.

The McCanns have had a very bad year indeed, but this final decision by the 3 wise judges to overturn the book ban was the final nail in their coffin. Their main protectors are all history, and they are the most vulnerable they have ever been - both legally and financially. They cannot hurt Dr Amaral any more and they know it! You can see the fear etched in their faces as they desperately try to amass their last bucket of gold before their abduction façade comes tumbling down around their ears.
Actually, I'm feeling beaucoup optimistic these days! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Madeleine's parents seek support from London and Lisbon to review the case
If all the BS today was based solely on the fact that Halligen was supposed to be in Court this morning then IMO they are terrified of what he might say.
The pair of them almost fainted with the C4 interviewer alluded to him.
