Yes, I have left many comments about the McCanns on the Daily Mail web site, but they have not been published. Also on LBC this morning, Nick Ferrari stated the Macs and the Tappas seven had all been interviewed by Grange !

Archibaldo wrote:I cannot understand how the police are getting away with saying they are not interviewing the McCanns or their holiday gang. Everyone knows KM refused to answer the Portuguese police questions, so the British police can't pretend she has been investigated.

“We’re happy that’s completely dealt with and there is no reason whatsoever to reopen that or start rumours that’s a line of investigation."
Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley [circa. April 2017]
What an obnoxious ineffectual little runt that man is - Assistant Commissioner and he can't come up with a better excuse than that, he doesn't even sound convincing. Did he retire or did they push him over the edge?
Kate McCann was advised (splutter!) by her lawyer not to answer the questions posed during her arguido interview .

I believe it was also Assistant Police Commissioner Mark Rowly ( now retired ) who said that Madeleine McCann was not old enough to leave the apartment by her own accord...and start a new life. He must be a graduate of the university of the bleeding obvious.

Along with fellow graduate DCI Andy Redwood "Madeleine is either alive, or sadly dead"

With the continued funding of OG, we're between a rock and hard place.
If OG is would up without a result, there will be a public furore over "wasted" funds and a veritable avalanche of Freedom of Information requests. And nothing will truly have been achieved.
If it continues, with regular funding, it still has the possibility of producing something even though the remit is limited. I'm thinking that, as the groundswell of public opinion turns against the McCanns (as it seems to be doing) then, should a key piece of evidence appear (such as someone blabbing) then it would be beneficial that OG continues to be an active investigation.

Paul said he wrote to the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] a few months ago.
He said: “I wrote asking why all missing people weren’t being treated equally. There’s people like me all over the country being told there’s no more the police can do and yet this one case gets all the money and attention.
“The policing minister Nick Hurd wrote back to say that every enquiry gets the same treatment, but then goes on to say that when Theresa May was home secretary she set up a special unit to look for Madeleine McCann. If that’s not preferential treatment, I don’t know what is.”
Although police found no trace of Michael after his disappearance, his dad says he still holds out hope that he will turn up.
Paul still pays the rent on Michael’s Benwell house: “If he comes home, I don’t want him to be homeless,” the 67 year old explained.
Despite their extensive investigation failing to find his son, Paul praised [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] for the way they handled the search, saying “they did the best they could, I’ve no doubt about that.”
The latest figures showed that — in 2016, across the Northumbria Police jurisdiction — there were 1,397 missing children and 2,209 missing adults and a spokesman for the force said that Michael’s case is regularly reviewed.
The spokesperson said: “We can understand Mr Whinham’s frustration and know how distressing the disappearance of a loved can be. It has always been our hope to find Michael.
“Our enquiry to find him very much remains open and if we have any new lines of enquiry these will be fully investigated.
“A team of officers were dedicated to investigating Michael’s disappearance who carried out extensive lines of enquiry including viewing hours of CCTV, numerous appeals and speaking to people who knew him.
“Unfortunately, the investigation reached a point where all lines of enquiry were exhausted and at this point it was necessary for us disband the dedicated team.
“However, this does not mean we will not continue in our effort and like all missing person investigations, the case is continuously reviewed and if any new lines of enquiry do arise then we will investigate them fully and proportionately.
“We have not given up on finding Michael and if anyone has any evidence that could help us locate him then we would urge them to get in touch.”
More than £11 million has been spent so far on the probe to find missing Madeleine, who vanished from the family’s holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in Portugal in May 2007, aged three.
Government funding for the investigation has been agreed every six months, with £154,000 being granted from October last year until the end of March.
It is believed that the latest round of funding will be as much as £150,000 and a Home Office spokesperson said: “The Government remains committed to the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann (Operation Grange).
“We have briefed the Metropolitan Police Service that its application for Special Grant funding for Operation Grange will be granted.”
Family spokesman Clarence Mitchell told the paper that Madeleine’s parents Kate and Gerry McCann were “incredibly grateful” to the Home Office for granting the money request.
He said: “They are very encouraged that the Met Police still believe there is work left to be done and they are incredibly grateful to the Home Office for providing an extra budget for the investigation.”

The reality is that there is no "search" or "hunt" being undertaken by anyone - police or parents - so I wish these headline writers would cease using inappropriate/misleading language.Get'emGonçalo wrote:Public outrage as Madeleine McCann search given more taxpayers' money

You must understand and let us try to value the figures quoted,in 2016, 275,000 people Go missing from within the UK?
In 2017,300,000 went missing within the UK?
In,2018,it is reckoned that 396 people per day disappear from within the UK,which would work out to 144,540 per year, which is still far less than a presumed total of over 300,000,So does anyone care about the loss of these Human beings?
Which would be the equal to Wembly Stadium being filled with 76,000 people then filled four times to disappear forever,or is that the point, people are just numbers in this World,to fill the voids wherever they are required,en mass, frighting isn't it?
Yet Bear this in mind.
Yet the elites from Society from the Country with an "Hidden agenda" have either supposedly had Governments Resources engulfed swathes of masses of individuals to infiltrate to fight jihad in Iraq,Libya,Syria,Somalia,Egypt,Yemen, leaving behind Millions of Dead people, let alone the hundreds of thousands injured incumbents,in order to depose the elected Leaders of these Countries in order to usurp the commodities from the lands they had intended to Overthrow?
Then you have Mr Wesley Clarke's statement of Seven Wars in five Years,it wouldn't contain any of those from the above list of Countries would it?
That when the Wars have Not gone in their Favour, what is left of the Jihadists have been allowed a"Safe Passage" out of the conflict Zones,to return to the UK and other safe havens?
The different Countries,Continents in Europe are now seeing the swathes of people returned from these Conflict zones, who then directly attack the Residents in these continents, inflict "Jihad"against their own people, but of course it is stupid to think they could have been trained to fight in the first place,Mind controlled by Security Services, they were found in the UK,killers of Mr Lee Rigby,Rest In Peace,no one deserved those actions?
They were also found to be close links to the July 7/7 Bombers,Quantanemo detainees from the UK,MI5 double agents?
It really is a Sick World we live in today,in order to keep the Elites in Power!

£150,000 - chicken feed. How about another half a million and we have a suspect, or for another million perhaps an imminent arrest ?
What about arresting nine tomorrow - for free.
Not another tenner to help find Corrie McKeague. Life's cheap for some.

I disagree. The authorities will avoid a direct response to a FOI request if the circumstances dictate.
If the establishment wish to withhold information, they will do so. Past attempts have proved that to be true ..

Kate and Gerry McCann were tonight "incredibly grateful", a family spokesman Clarence Mitchell said tonight.
He said: “They are very encouraged that the Met Police still believe there is work left to be done and they are incredibly grateful to the Home Office for providing an extra budget for the investigation.”
The Operation Grange team have been granted an as yet undisclosed sum to keep the seven-year inquiry going for the next six months until the end of September.
The current funding of £154,000 for the Maddie inquiry runs out in just five days.

Gerry and Kate McCann have never given up hope of finding their daughter
Former GP turned medical worker Kate, 50, and heart doctor Gerry, 49, of Rothley, Leicestershire, cling onto a glimmer of hope that Maddie could still be alive after nearly 11 years.
She would be aged 14.
Detectives have refused to discuss details of the “important final line of inquiry” they are pursuing.
A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: “We cannot give a running commentary on the investigation while it is ongoing.”
But the British force is determined to crack the world’s biggest ever child mystery despite just four officers remaining on the case.
heart doctor Gerry - Except he is no longer a heart doctor, he is a university lecturer At Leicester uni.
Kate is a medical worker which would imply some kind of medical work such as doctor, nurse or other professional.
We know she is not a doctor as, although she pays to remain on the GMC medical register, she has no license to practice and given she was away from practicing for 10 years, she would need to go back to uni to catch up on 10 years of medical advances as although as a GP she could possibly be reviewed by one of her peers as to fitness to practice, she would first have to get a job as a GP or anesthetist in order to be able to be reviewed and no hospital would take her on given she had been away for 10 years.
She would have to go back to uni to get the latest training which would be several years at a minimum plus working the different areas of medicine such as A&E, Paediatrics etc
This would mean leaving the twins with a neighbor or friend(if she has any) when they get home and if both parents are still working/taking classes.
Mind you at their age they should be more than capable of looking after themselves since Maddie was considered old enough to look after her younger siblings when she was aged 3.
I wonder why the media used the term medical worker as opposed to someone working in medicine?
A receptionist, phlebotomist, cleaner, nursing assistant could all claim to be working in medicine.
Why is kate so reticent about what job she has in medicine?
Is it because it is a big drop in status if she is just a nursing assistant or similar?
Given how they bragged about their jobs and all the training etc they did is her new job embarrassing for her going from GP to cleaner or phlebotomist?
If it was a high status job such as nurse etc i am sure she would be telling uis how she cares for patients with xyz,
She feels rewarded and "It would be something Maddie wanted to be"
We get no hint except it is in medicine.
Heck even working behind the counter at a pharmacy could be working in medicine.
I discount qualified nursing (RN)since she would have to undergo a degree in nursing and she would still have to study and retrain to catch up to the latest medical advances.
She could be a healthcare assistant since no qualifications are required and once trained they could go on to become an assistant practitioner or a nursing associate which would require training for two years, and attend universities and further education colleges part-time.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I think if she became a nurse she would tell the world they she had decided a change in direction blah blah.
The problem is, she is toxic, if she was working in a professional role such as a nurse and in regular contact with joe public, the news would have leaked out by now.
Grateful patient nursed back to health by former GP now a nurse, you get the idea.
We have not heard such news, so i wonder what her role in medicine/medical worker is?
She is highly recognizable yet we have heard no news of where she is working/what she is doing etc which perhaps leads me to wonder if it is some role not involving the public or minimal contact?
Cleaner since people tend not to notice them, phlebotomist, receptionist or maybe secretary.
It would have to be something she wants to keep quiet since whatever it is, it is a huge drop in status from a GP.
Gerry who is also toxic, was trapped in a dead end job since he was never going to be promoted and he had minimal contact with patients, usually just reading reports and scans.
Gerry was determined to be the best at whatever he does and at the hospital he was never going to be the best
He was disliked intensely by staff where he worked and being offered/applying for the job as a lecturer at the local uni gave everyone a dignified exit.
He comes out with an 'untarnished' reputation and becomes a cardiology lecturer, professor of cardiac imaging
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
As a professor, which is going to be his career path?
Teaching and Research?
Teaching focused
Research focused
Did he take a pay when he became a lecturer?
If so how much?
Is his job a fixed term contract or permanent?
Did he take a drop in salary when he left the hospital for the university?
Is kate full time or part time?
How does her salary compare to before?
Kate, come on, tell us what you do for a job, don't be shy.
Since the fund allowed support for the family, are they using the fund to top up their income?
The £500,000 that was ring fenced is allowed only to be used buy tools, buildings etc.
Did they use that money to maybe pay off the mortgage on the house?
Did they buy another property?
If so why?
They certainly didn't use it to buy tools since they are not running a business.
Was this done to prevent the courts using it to pay all the legal costs not only for themselves but all the defendants as well?

I would hazard a guess that she refers to her work as a medical job because she doesn't want zillions of emails sent to her employers with the portugese police files or a copy of the Supreme Court Ruling attached.

Sounds like they're running a business to me.
Sounds like they're using the fund as an expense account!

Whatever is going on, the Home Office must be convinced. This cash does mean that FOI requests can be avoided for another 6 months. I wonder if that is it.
Plus it keeps stalling the Portuguese authourities. They will get more funding in another 6 months and another 6 months etc, etc, etc it will continue for years,IMO

I wonder what the traveling expenses were for since they weren't searching or having visits with Scotland yard that we know of or pretty much anything to do with Maddie.
What were the office and security costs for?
What office work since they aren't searching nor speaking with the PJ or UK police, nor is the online shop doing anything.
What security costs?
The cost of a new lock and key, a padlock?
What security costs would come in under £225
Why did they feel the need for these costs?
Why any expenses at all since they have effectively erased Maddie from their family?
They physically erased her from the family, now they are mentally erasing her.
However we the public will not wipe her from our minds
The police will never be able to erase her, homicide cases are never closed, they may be shelved but they remain open.
Cold case detectives will look at a case from the start and find what others have missed and sooner or later, they will be called in for interviews along with the tapas 7 and chums.

I believe it's normal for a DCI to head up more than one investigation.
After all, you couldn't expect an experienced DCI to sit twiddling her thumbs on the Grange investigation for seven years while her underlings scour Google for the woman in purple.
And didn't TB's last Freedom of Information state that DCI Wall was still in charge?
