And the parents of two missing children slammed the Government for handing over more money for the high-profile hunt.
It comes after the Home Office last week confirmed Scotland Yard would get extra funds - understood to be £150,000 - to chase a vital “final line of inquiry”.
A close pal of the couple told the Sun Online today: “Kate and Gerry do not feel their daughter’s case should be given any more priority than any other missing child but there is an active police investigation ongoing and officers still feel there is important work left to be done.
“The Met Police have requested extra funding and have been granted it.

"Kate and Gerry didn’t ask for it but they are very thankful the search for Madeleine will continue.
“It’s not helpful and is very hurtful for retired police officers and in the past so called crime experts and other families to say the investigation should be wound up and is a waste of public money.
“Kate and Gerry believe there is a chance their daughter could still be found alive, as detectives do.
“They have enough to deal with and don’t need people with no idea about the case being armchair detectives and hopes the criticism stops.
“It undermines the work of one of the best police forces in the world.”

Paul revealed he penned his letter a few months ago, saying: “I wrote asking why all missing people weren’t being treated equally.

The 11th Anniversary is coming up so there's bound to be another shytefest for the next month or so, further desecrating the memory of three-year-old Madeleine McCann by her own parents.

Answer the 48 questions and I'll consider taking a break from being an armchair detective.

In addition, taken from the Textusa forum, it would appear that a pro-McCann has been sentenced, in Wales, to 6 months in jail for harassment.

Yep, she harassed Chris Roberts for about 3 years and got 6 months in jail.
Ben Thompson has been harassing Tony for more than 4 years.

Re: Madeleine McCann’s parents Kate and Gerry hit back at critics of new Met Police cash to track down missing girl
The case has been "ongoing" for sometime. She was, rightly, IMO, sentenced yesterday to six months, which I believe is the maximum sentence via a magistrates court, albeit this time by a judge. This woman reported me to the Gwent police and was more than vile in her comments about Brenda Leyland. For anyone interested the police couldn't have been less interested in my online activity. IMO this woman was used and played like a violin, for kudos, friendship and saving others from a spell inside. She was allowed to get away with far too much for far too long.

Thanks LG.
Is it possible to enlighten us, if you can, as to what you mean as regards “used & played......to save others” ?
In your opinion of course.
Thank you

Re: Madeleine McCann’s parents Kate and Gerry hit back at critics of new Met Police cash to track down missing girl
IMO and no secret to those who were members of many MBM groups on FB that Ormiston, who chose to post under many pseudonyms Gwen James, Karen Belfrey amongst them, was and probably still is online friends with the likes or Gurney and Holt. I believe that she was willing to please them and got carried away with her online personas and then was "persuaded", egged on to take her actions into the real world visiting home addresses and committing crimes at local venues. Unfortunately, she wasn't stopped at that stage and she then carried out an online vendetta against Chris Roberts and "buoyed" by the fact that the, law didn't stop her, no doubt, IMO, egged on by her friends she then included members of Chris' family for her vile abuse. She wasn't referred to as "batshit crazy" on FB groups without reason.
