THE PARENTS of Madeleine McCann are praying a missing British girl believed to be with her wanted dad will be found safe and well.
Kate and Gerry, whose daughter Maddie was kidnapped from a holiday resort more than 10 years ago, say their “hearts go out” to the family of little Molly Owens, aged five.
A McCann pal said on Sunday night: “Kate and Gerry hope and pray that this young girl is found safe and well very soon.
“Their hearts go out to all families of missing children and they understand they pain and agony loved ones are going through at this difficult time.”
The Maddie Facebook page, endorsed by her parents and viewed by thousands of followers across the world, shared North Wales Police’s updated pictures of Molly and her dad Brian Owens.
He is feared to have fled to Ireland with her three days ago when he was due to be sentenced by magistrates for three counts of assault by beating.
Blonde-haired, blue-eyed Molly was reported missing on Friday from Holyhead, on Anglesey in Wales.
A warrant has been issued for her dad’s arrest.
Chief Inspector Sharon McCairn said: “We are concerned for Molly’s whereabouts and are appealing to anybody who may have information to contact us.
“Equally I am issuing a direct appeal for Brian Owens to make contact with us to let us know he and Molly are safe and well.”
Three-year-old Maddie vanished from a holiday flat in Portugal’s Praia da Luz in May 2007 while her parents were dining with pals in a nearby tapas restaurant.
Heart doctor Gerry and medical worker Kate, both 49, from Rothley, Leics, are clinging onto a glimmer of hope their daughter could still be alive. She would now be aged 14.
The Find Maddie website, run by friends and supporters of the couple, also promote appeals for other missing kids.
Above their shared information on Molly they remind the world that Madeleine is still waiting to be found.
Alongside pictures of Maddie as a three-year-old and an age progression snap of how she may look aged nine, the website states in a top banner: “Ten years, still missing, still missed, never forgotten.”

Connecting the unconnected. Exploiting a small child's predicament, who is caught in the middle of parental conflict is just terrible. This has nothing to do with the Mccanns. Obviously an excuse to get them in the papers again, and an advert for the dubious Missing People business, er, sorry....Charity. Incidentally, this so called emotional appeal for Molly's return would be interesting to see. The only appeal they made for the safe return of their own daughter was devoid of the emotion one would expect to witness in such a case.Keitei wrote:HOPING AND PRAYING Madeleine McCann’s parents’ make emotional plea for return of girl, 5, who ‘vanished with her wanted dad after he skipped court’

Totally agree @cmaryholme
A McCann Pal said.... doubt the McCanns have said anything directly or would they not have corrected that the "website" quoted is actually the Facebook page... ?
"It's all rubbish"

I noticed the Sun allowed comments, 3 comments! All of them anti McCann, one mentioning the M word. People are not swallowing the story anymore, it seems.

Five now...
It's disgusting that a story about Molly is mainly about the McCanns.

is it any wonder this story lacks any quality, credibility or validity.....look at the author, its Tracey Kandohla -the McCann's number one fan this side of Lorraine Kelly......
This is the journalist guilty of the most bias, gut wrenching pathetic pro McCann sludge at the expense of all truth, probably of all the mainstream media.

Yet again the despicable Sun and the phoney McCanns use some other poor family's tragedy to promote their own agenda. Show some respect you sycophantic cowards! This is a story about Molly Owens and any mention of the McCanns and Madeleine belittle her plight. Shame on you once more.

For sheer hard neck this pair couldn't be beaten. They have NEVER been formally cleared of involvement in their daughter's disappearance. They refused to answer questions posed by the police who were trying to find her. They refused to return with their friends for a reconstruction which might have helped. They were so afraid of police knowing what they were up to that they acquired. untraceable mobiles. They lied through their teeth at interviews. They turned their little daughter's plight into a money-making circus selling tacky wristbands and T shirts. etc. They sought to corner the market as the face of missing children, hoping that Kate would be offered a high status position while claiming to have left three toddlers alone so they could have a good time. They paid over money given by pensioners and children to promote their version of events in the gutter press. They viciously persecuted a police officer for having the audacity to suspect them and they now have the gall to try to hog the press and flog their lies to rehabilitate their shattered reputations heedless of the negative repercussions for their remaining children. Shut up and have some shame for pity's sake.

As shocking as it is, you are 100% correct Phoebe....... and people wonder why our police force & government have lost the public's respect.

If the McCanns and their PR had any sense they'd really do well to wrap this up and slink away from the public eye. I don't think there's one person who has had access to the evidence that believes in the abduction BS. Kate and Gerry are complicit in the disappearance of poor Madeleine and have milked the situation to the extreme. One day her brother and sister will wake up to that fact that what they've been told about their sister going missing is just a web of deceit.
The scary thing about this case is the degree to which the McCanns have and are still being protected. Some big questions need to be asked.
Mr Amaral is a hero and fought for justice for Madeleine, risking everything he had to find the truth. One day, hopefully the toilet paper rags still trying to push the abduction narrative will stop peddling their unsubstantiated, unsupported tripe. Madeleine died in the apartment.
Kate even slipped up very recently with a faux pas saying that a charity cycle or whatever it was she did will not help Madeleine !! Why wouldn't it help Madeleine if she were still alive ?

WTF has it go to do with the McCanns?? We all know what they did to their child, there is no need to hijack a missing child story for a child that will hopefully be returned safe and well!

Missing girl, 5, found as wanted father returns from Ireland to Britain and surrenders to police
A FATHER wanted by police after disappearing with his young daughter has handed himself in after returning from Ireland with the five-year-old.
Brian Owens, 26, skipped court last week and fled with his daughter Molly Owens across the Irish Sea.
The father, from Maes Cyttir in Holyhead, was due to appear at Caernafon Crown Court on Friday, July 28 to be sentenced for three counts of assault, and one count of sending an offensive or menacing message.
Police launched an appeal on Saturday to find Mr Owens and his daughter after they both disappeared.
On Sunday, the parents of Madeleine McCann said they were praying that Molly Owens would be found safe.
A post on their Facebook page said: “Kate and Gerry hope and pray that this young girl is found safe and well very soon.
“Their hearts go out to all families of missing children and they understand the pain and agony loved ones are going through at this difficult time.”
After three days on the run in Ireland, Mr Owens returned with his daughter to Holyhead on Sunday evening, North Wales Police confirmed.
Supt Nigel Harrison said Owens had “surrendered to authorities on his return and will appear in court tomorrow.”
He added: “I would like to thank the public and Molly’s family for their support.”
Mr Owens appeared in Caernafon Crown Court August 1, according to police.

Tracey Kandohla is a liability, she goes way beyond the call of duty.
Unanswered question remains - why is she allowed to get away with it? Someone in the hierarchy must be giving her tripe the thumbs up.
One thing for sure, the McCanns are well stocked with sources in their pantry.

As with all things McCann, anything in the Press comes from a pal, a friend, a source close to the family.
The McCanns don't say anything directly to anyone. That's what PR/spin is for.
I've given up wondering what Tracey Kandohla does, other than to write a bit of meaningless copy and collect a cheque. It would seem she's still super glued to Clarence of Brighton and being spoon fed is an easy way to make a living. Imagine the clickbait Tracey earns for that terrible tabloid. I doubt the editors care just as long as you can get Madeleine's name in there somewhere (sod the actual missing child) then it's all good to go. The clicks boost the advertising revenue.
Years ago it was said that good editorial is written on the back of advertising revenue. Nothing has changed a great deal in that respect except for the fact that good editorial is almost dead. No-one wants to pay decent journalists when a fast buck can be made from sensationalism and opening up the entitlement to respond to articles. Piers Morgan, who printed downright lies about British troops sits on our tv news programmes and shouts at people who don't toe the party line.
Madeleine McCann is the icon of mystery and she sells, just as Diana sells. Sick isn't it? but it's reality. How many people in this nation feel for the late Princess of Wales as opposed to those who think she was a flake (these are the options given to the general public by the press)? How many people in this nation feel for the McCanns? I'll wager most people place them in the same category as Princess Diana and think of flowers, charity, good causes and the enduring strength of a bereft family, whilst others see beyond that.
Thank goodness for CMoMM.
