Mr Sutton has told half a tale. Maybe that is enough to assuage his conscience. Maybe he has been 'pursuaded' to say no more. Maybe he should grow a backbone, blow the lid off what he knows and be willing to face the consequences, like Gonçalo Amaral has done.aquila wrote:It appears Colin Sutton has 'moved on' from his dalliance with the Madeleine McCann case and the tenth anniversary cheques are safely cashed. Let me put it another way, I did not make these allegations a former senior Met Murder squad detective did, as did a documentary aired on Sky Television. They made it perfectly clear, or at least the implication was perfectly clear that the Mccanns were not a line of investigation and were completely off the table as potential suspects from the start, this is a completely unacceptable situation as the Mccanns not only had never been ruled out as suspects by the PJ investigation , there were still numerous lines of enquiry open to be actioned by any credible investigation. I have been through the whole charade of complaining v Grange before and been met by exactly the same response, I went to the IPCC and was equally stone walled informed my complaint would not even get read for going on 3 months , I complained to my local MP (a complaint endorsed by several hundred people that this whole thing was a fiasco and required a public enquiry) tumbleweed. I want one question answered and it isn't a complicated one . Do the DPS intend to do any follow up on this and contact either former DCI Sutton or Sky television or both to clarify these extremely disturbing remarks?
Can you confirm if you have received any contact from the Met in order to clarify what was being said in this documentary?

It's ok Colin, don't you worry about doing any of this yourself, will you? You were the one who opened this can of worms but won't make it official.
You've been sitting on this information for seven years so aren't you the one now perverting the course of justice for three-year-old Maddie?
I invited you here to talk to us in a private research section with some other police officers so we could make this complaint for you, but you even turned that down.
How can you possibly earn respect this way? The only thing you seem to be concerned about earning is money from your anonymous story. Goodness knows why #mccann is praising you. You've done nothing that's of any use to anyone other than yourself. Even the McCann's aren't bothered by your claims - have you seen them claiming in the press to be "hurt" by your "ludricrous" claims? No, of course not, because they know it won't come to anything. At least, not from you.
All you're doing is showing us that you have an ulterior motive - and blocking me on twitter just shows me that you're not such a big, hard copper after all. That'll teach me for wanting justice for a child won't it.
Watch Colin, he's a clever old Hector, and I'm talking about Hector's House not the Greek myth, he never actually gives a forthright opinion.

Re: A letter written by a CMOMM member to his MP and other organisations
I watched the 1st part documentary about the Met on BBC1 last night. It clearly demonstrates the immense effort that a vast number of police men & women give to the job, some of it incredibly painstaking and certainly not a path I would choose. My best pal was in Mounted Branch (retired a few months ago)and so I know a lot of those guys too.
I just find it immensely sad that what I deem to be a few rotten apples (maybe more that I give credit for ?) seem to tar the whole lot of them when it really isn't warranted.
I'm convinced the Masonic connection that seems to run deep through the Police generally doesn't help and can quite clearly present a conflict of interest (in turns of the protocol to assist a fellow mason)

If GA can survive 10 years of McCann-hell and come out of it still talking about the Maddie case then what the hell is wrong with ex murder DCI Colin Sutton?

Nice sentiments but I shan't hold my breath in the hope that Colin Sutton will do anything against the establishment, he has a media career and has chosen to be a media pundit. That renders whistle blowing to the status of eunuch doesn't it?Cmaryholmes wrote:Mr Sutton has told half a tale. Maybe that is enough to assuage his conscience. ETA: Don't make excuses for Colin Sutton. He has the opportunity to blow a whistle, he's sat on the information for a long time and he's done zilch with it until the opportunity came for a series of media interviews. He's a puppet.

Re: A letter written by a CMOMM member to his MP and other organisations
The person that everyone should apologise to is Madeleine McCann. I am not on this forum for personal popularity. I give my opinion and accept the opinion of others except when there is trollish behaviour. I've been on this forum for a long time and I can see the goodness in people striving to make sense of it all.polyenne wrote:Hi Aquila
I am guilty of being a bit short with you over the emergence of Colin Mutton and I have since seen my initial enthusiasm wane very quickly based on his inability to "step up to the plate". I have to accept that you did try to rein me in but I was having none of it.
I'm big & ugly enough to accept when I am wrong (admittedly very rarely !!) but you've been proved correct and I therefore offer my apologies to you for my sometime over-zealous retorts.
A little girl just short of her fourth birthday has made so much money for so many people. I find that disgusting.

Ask Colin Sutton how much his pay cheques amounted to.

Just want to say I continue to support ex-DCI Colin Sutton, who has laid bare the corrupt remit and investigation of Operation Grange before a very wide audience.

Please let's keep this thread on topic now.
This thread is about what CMOMM is doing for Maddie and not what some ex copper isn't doing for her.

This letter was sent to a member of the CMOMM Admin and we have sent our reply which will be posted here in a few days' time, having given him notice of our intention to do so.
Which will then be posted in numerous places on the internet to reassure our thousands of members and guests that this matter is being addressed.

Re: A letter written by a CMOMM member to his MP and other organisations
What an utterly disgraceful attitude. These politicians and other representatives of the establishment need a reminder, they are but servants to the electorate - without which they would be redundant.
What a thoroughly vile unpleasant person Richard Benyon MP is. Even if he can't/won't pursue the missive, at least he owes the author the courtesy of a polite reply.
If any proof be needed that this case stinks, the establishment dish it out by the bucket load - all indelibly printed for posterity. The internet is a dangerous tool in the wrong hands and a blessing in the right hands.
Which side are you on Richard Benyon MP - do you sleep soundly every night? I bet you do - and in a richly tapestried four poster bed!
