Are we taking our eye off the ball
Respect to Mrs Brenda Leyland
I do not wish to derail her demise but are we taking our eye off the ball here... ???
This forum thread has been going for 80+ pages in the last 48 hours it is not about Mrs Leyland but about Madeleine Beth McCann
If we owe Mrs Leyland any respect at all it is that she is dead because of her tenacity for Madeleine...(no offence directed xx)

IMO what has happened is extremely sad and relevant to the case and might just force the truth out.Dont Make Me Laff wrote:Respect to Mrs Brenda Leyland

In my view, Brenda's tragic death and the rest of this whole dreadful McCann case, including the media coverage of it, are inextricably entwined.

Too right - and someone could write several books on what's been going on - political connections, Elisabeth Murdoch's influence over her father...she is married to Matthew Freud who represented the McCanns. But this might help -
http://www.theguardian.com/media/2014/oct/06/matthew-freud-elisabeth-murdoch-divorce
Basically all these people recognise is power...they are just like medieval robber barons - they only respect how much hurt another party can inflict on them...
Murdoch was clearly p'd off by the McCanns' campaigning in favour of press controls after all he'd done for them - hence the Sunday Times article...but they showed him how tough they were with the successful libel action, which reminded Murdoch just how much they have the legal establishment in their pocket.
So maybe the latest Brunt attack was meant as a sop to the McCanns from the Murdoch media empire - and Brenda was just an expendable victim.
Be assured - in all this, Madeleine McCann figures not at all.

Re: Are we taking our eye off the ball
It is hugely important that we find out how Mrs Brenda Leyland died (RIP) and demand a full police inquiry into the actions of Brunt, his paymasters, and the suppliers of the dossier. One minute Brenda sees that Brunt is following her on twitter. The next she had abruptly closed her twitter account, before being confronted by Brunt...and then shortly afterwards being found dead. Strange doesn't cover it.

Also, Gerry McCann's live radio interview last week and his comment piece for the Guardian.
IMO he knew about the "dossier".

Like everything GM touches it went wrong though, if this was the beginning of a campaign against these 'trolls'.
Twitter is so viral and so fast that it is and has been the biggest obstacle to the constant press reports of their sanctity.
Press and TV are onside, twitter isn't and without it there would not be the doubt about the Mcs which is everywhere.
So this Brunt event may have been the opening of an offensive campaign to shut down tweets on McCann altogether.
GM writing in a respectable newspaper, get the middle classes onside, tabloid readers already are.
Open campaign with Sky, who have made loads of money from the milch cow.
The Times paying out a trifling amount to shore up the 'rightness' of TM. Just another move in the same game.
Dontmakemelaff is right, the trademark photograph is all that is left of Maddie.
We may have taken our eye off the ball by joining in this debate, but some of the key players never looked at that particular ball at all.
For a number of key players it was never about Maddie, and I mean Never.

My thoughts exactly. I was just preparing a post on that.tigger wrote:Ladyinred wrote:Also, Gerry McCann's live radio interview last week and his comment piece for the Guardian.

The Gerry/Hacked Off campaign was the AIM.
The corrupt p'd's etc. in power, and at growing risk of being unmasked, would like a controlled and silent-unless-spoken-to public.
The Murdoch empire (helped by political feed back by way of legislation, inaudibles etc. and now a putsch towards separating ourselves from the over-arching safety of the ECHR) had grown like topsy to engulf the Newspapers, the Mainstream Media and it would be a 100% lock down control on every living being except for ONE VERY INCONVENIENT FACT, the INTERNET.
Efforts are now being rolled in to CONTROL THE INTERNET.
However, as Sir Bernard Hogan Howe said in his radio interview, that cyber crime will be seen in the same terms as normal crime.
That is, people will have spats, exchange insults etc. but the police won't be intervening on any of that.
Civil courts will be dealing with such, since any excessive behaviour will be in the line of libel, defamation etc. which is a civil complaint.
Where the police will become involved is where there is a criminal case.
As he said, if someone threatens to kill and the person on the receiving end of the threat believes the threat, and if the threatener wants them to believe the threat, then it will come under the criminal law, as much on cyber, as in direct every day life.
If the McCs did contribute towards the instigation of this dossier, if they, or their agent Clarence the Pink did hand it to the police, or if they knew it was being presented to the police by anyone else, then they are responsible for trying to get cyber comments investigated as a crime.
This would bring the threat of imprisonment to a poster if their postings were deemed 'criminal' in intent.
Since Raaine/dirndllass's posts seem to fit more into the criminal category than anything that Brenda posted, Gerry and or company will have directly implicated one of their own.
Regarding 'touching' a poster for some more much needed (McCann Fund) cash, it is interesting that Brenda would appear to be a person with 'means' and more likely to be able to be fleeced even if the case only got as far as hitting the civil courts.
Either way, the darkness and stench now surrounding the McCs and their WIDER AGENDA has moved into an entirely different level.
A considerate, truth seeking, conscientious member of society, a much loved and treasured mother, has been HOUNDED TO HER DEATH, either by her own hand or, until demonstrated convincingly to be untrue, by some other more sinister hand.
The McCs now have MUCH MORE to answer for than the loss of their own child.
ETA http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/player/p02789bx Bernard Hogan Howe's radio conversation.
