Have tweeting footie fans found Madeleine McCann?
FOOTBALL fans created a Twitter frenzy over claims a young girl at the Europa League final looked like missing Madeleine McCann.

What a load of rubbish, using Twitter now to try and get the public back on their side that Madeleine is stilll alive, again just pure spin.

“What is encouraging is that it shows everyone is still looking for Madeleine,’’ said a friend of the family
That refutes the claim that GA's theory means that people are not inclined to look out for her.
With friends like that, who needs enemies?

Yet another innocent young blonde girl gets dragged into the McCann's world of lies, spin and fairystory, presumably with the blessing of our NSY and government who FAIL TO STOP THESE FRAUDSTERS!
Where is this going to end? With a young, blonde Maddie look-a-like girl getting snatched?

It will hopefully end when someone gets arrested for a crime related to the disappearance of MGoogle.Gaspar.Statements wrote:Yet another innocent young blonde girl gets dragged into the McCann's world of lies, spin and fairystory, presumably with the blessing of our NSY and government who FAIL TO STOP THESE FRAUDSTERS!

This girl's appearance at the match has had more of an impact that Oscar Cardozo's did.

Someone was on here late Wednesday night claiming the same thing - had never posted before and it sparked a bit of a confuffle and then I noticed the discussion had disappeared a few hours later. I wondered whether it was a journo trying to get some kind of reaction going for exactly this kind of story.

Re: Have tweeting footie fans found Madeleine McCann?
This should be a fascinating read for anybody familiar with the McCann case - a claim that the entire 1958 World Cup tournament was faked as a media experiment.

I watched Wednesday night's match and must admit I didn't spot "Maddie" at the time. Broadcasters have admitted tinkering with the crowd scenes at the 2012 European Championships, so could this just be an attempt to create a Twitter buzz around an entirely unremarkable football match?

Manipulations of live transmission[edit]
The television transmission was not completely live. Several scenes were mounted into the transmission as thought appropriate, or cut out, or left out altogether. On the order of UEFA it was forbidden to show the empty seats in the stadiums. The scene where the German coach Joachim Löw tolls a ball boy actually happened before the match.[91] The same is true for the footage of a German fan's tears, which happened before the match, but was shown after the Italian goal. The German broadcasting agency ARD expressed its intention to file a complaint against these practices by UEFA.

I had similar thoughts when the original thread was posted Clay.
Didn't know about footie transmissions being meddled with before, but being as I am quite cynical/don't trust most of what I see and hear in media, I thought that it could be a photoshop.

Re: Have tweeting footie fans found Madeleine McCann?
That little girl has only the same superficial likeness to Madeleine that lots of little fair-haired girls have, including my own two great-nieces and my friend's youngest child. She also looks a lot younger than Madeleine would be now, if she were alive. Odd how this suddenly pops up just when SY are supposed to be getting ready to look for 'something' (a body?) in Praia da Luz. Somebody said the other day there'd be a sighting soon ... and there we are! Amazing how all these things come along at interesting times, isn't it?

Indeed, russiandoll.
If "everyone is still looking for Madeleine," according to a family friend, then what exactly is the claim against Amaral?

Re: Have tweeting footie fans found Madeleine McCann?
The other element is defamation of character, I think. Dr Amaral said in his book they lied about what happened to Madeleine, whereas they maintain they didn't, that she was abducted and they had nothing to do with removing her body. They say the book caused them pain and suffering and all the rest of it, and they want money to ... well, whatever money does to make it all better.Lance De Boils wrote:russiandoll wrote:“What is encouraging is that it shows everyone is still looking for Madeleine,’’ said a friend of the family

Re: Have tweeting footie fans found Madeleine McCann?
Isn't this the same child that was spotted in the Canadian school choir?
Doesn't Aunt Nora live in Canada? Does she have children or Grandchildren out there?
This picture could be an old picture of a then 6 year old cousin.
Isn't it amazing how all these sighting pics are less than perfect quality.

Re: Have tweeting footie fans found Madeleine McCann?
Doesn't look anything like an 11 year old. And why are they able to put a photo of a stranger's child in the public domain? Unless, as suggested, it is not a stranger's child.
“What is encouraging is that it shows everyone is still looking for Madeleine,’’ said a friend of the family
I think it is more likely that the friend of the family (and I imagine he or she belongs to a dwindling sub-group of people, in danger of becoming extinct any time soon, a bit like the dodo!) said:
"What is encouraging is that it shows that someone is still looking for Madeleine.
Again, probably a member of another rapidly diminishing minority group.
Perhaps there is, indeed, just one person 'out there' who is still a friend of the family and one person 'out there' who is still looking for sightings of Madeleine.
(I think The Star was having a bit of a larf with that quote.)

It would appear that one of the McCanns' claims is for £430,000 damages for Madeleine 'which will be used to continue the search for her', Lance, and presumably that part of the claim is now redundant, unless of course it is their intention to continuing seaching those 5* hotels around the globe where NSY and the PJ haven't as yet ventured?
What I'm looking for is the thread which broke this news late on Wednesday evening - does anyone know where it's gone?

Re: Have tweeting footie fans found Madeleine McCann?
Yep. Amazing how they're now appearing to look for a body and... lo and behold! Like the shopkeeper in Mr Benn, a sighting appears! Interesting too the last sentence in the report reconfirms the McCanns' dogmatic mantra:canada12 wrote:Someone was on Usre late Wednesday night claiming the same thing - had never posted before and it sparked a bit of a confuffle and then I noticed the discussion had disappeared a few hours later. "Madeleine’s doctor parents Kate, 46, and Gerry, 45, continue to believe their eldest daughter is still alive."
Should that be 'continue to want US to believe their eldest daughter is still alive'?
At all costs, whatever the price, hm?

It could be a good sign.
It could be a final desperate throw of the dice when they have nothing left to lose.

All possible future sightings
I know this is quite cynical, but I don't find it too easy to change my nature - so please forgive me!
Someone should start a blog or forum which lists every highly popular public event/competition which could possibly/maybe/with extraordinary coincidence reveal a sighting of Maddie.
You never know, President Obama could even address the UN on the subject of Portuguese corruption and perverting the course of justice, enough so that all major democracies in the world demand a one world government, the British Supreme Court becomes the highest judicial authority on the planet, and worldwide peace and security is declared, in perpetuity!

"Madeleine McCann 'Lookalike' Picture From Europa League Final Sends Social Media Into Meltdown
This image of a young football supporter bearing a strong resemblance to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] has gone viral, sparking fresh interest in the hunt for the missing English girl.
The image was taken from ITV4's coverage of the Europa League final in Turin between Seville and Benfica on May 14.
The picture of the girl among supporters of Benfica, a Portuguese team based in Lisbon, was shared by hundreds who thought it resembled age-progressed images of Madeleine, who disappeared while on holiday with her family in Portugal's Algarve on May 3, 2007.
People even suggested the girl had the same distinctive "flawed" eye feature, a dark mark on the iris.
Some pointed out that the girl in the photo looked too young to be McCann, who would now be 11.
One person suggested it was unlikely someone who had abducted Maddy and held her in secret for seven years would then take her to a crowded, televised football match.

There have been numerous reported sightings of McCann since she vanished.
In 2013 a British woman spotted a youngster “bearing a remarkable likeness to Madeleine” at a market in the northern Indian town of Leh.
There have also been reported sightings in Portugal, Belgium and France but none have produced any firm leads.

As I very much doubt that the McCanns will gain 'great strength' from knowing that their source has effectively scuppered their claim that Dr Amaral's book 'The Truth of the Lie' caused people to stop looking for their eldest daughter, I suspect that the gnashing of teeth is a sound that is not unfamiliar to the the walls of the Towers.
Alas for K&G... what is their world of fabrication coming to when even the paid help can't get it right?

Re: Have tweeting footie fans found Madeleine McCann?
This comment is on the Official facebook page. I thought it unintentionally summed up GA's defence nicely :)
This latest update is excellent. It just proves that Goncola Amarals book hasn't hindered or stopped people searching for Madeleine.
They can't really remove comments like this, without questions being asked by their supporters, but it really is a shot in the foot, to have their own supporters disproving their libel actions.
