Re: Missing Tia Sharp
Some newspapers are reporting that the mother is also missing...... if that is true, it makes me wonder about the circumstances in which Tia died.

What very sad news, R.I.P. Tia.
What is so shocking and upsetting and making me angry is that they are looking for Hazell, I can't believe they have let him do a runner.

Slightly off topic here but I am so angry I am going to say it.... why do these bloody women move men into their houses when their children/grandchildren should ALWAYS BE THEIR FIRST CONCERN... FIRST LAST AND ALWAYS.. I am happily married but if my husband and I ever split up there will be no "boyfriends" in my house the only male in my house would be a newly bought dog... terrible. Rest in Peace Tia X
Because they're all so bl**dy selfish. It's a me, me, me society now, and s*d the kids, along as the adults can have their booze, fags and sex the kids can go and look after themselves, whatever age they are.
I feel so very, very sorry for poor Tia, it's always the kids that suffer. My heart almost stopped when I saw the tickertape along the bottom of the BBC news saying that a body had been found. It didn't look good though with all those police at the house, it was obvious something bad had happened.
Edited to agree with Candyfloss - what the hell were the police thinking not keeping an eye on Stuart Hazell and watching his every move. Surely they must have had some suspicions. It beggers belief

She had been missing a week today. God it doesn't bear thinking about if her body was in the house all that time

I am with you on this, really angry - stupid, stupid, women, who have to have a fella no matter what the cost. They make me sick to the stomach.
Also, didn't the grandmother say this morning he had gone off 'to do his own thing' - did she know? Was she covering for him?

Re: Missing Tia Sharp
Prof David Wilson the criminologist has been on the phone to Sky, rather puzzled that the house and surrounding area was not sealed off earlier and saying there will now be some contamination of the forensic evidence. He has stated that in these cases of missing murdered children, it is so often the case that it is now a truism, the victim has a relationship to the perpetrator. I think he was implying that as soon as it looked like there was no evidence Tia had left that estate for a bus, the house should have been cordoned off and designated a potential crime scene. Was it ever reported who contacted police to tell them Tia was missing? I am waiting to find out why no one but this man saw Tia for what appears if reports are correct, amounted to 20 + hours.
Also I heard both that this search was pre planned and prearranged? So the grandmother and partner knew it would take place? This is maybe why he has fled.....I find it strange they did not have him under surveillance.

The above shocks me somewhat, I really thought they would have had him under surveillance.
I hope that the police have issued a warning as well as asking the public to call 999. This man is potentially very dangerous. Machete, drugs and now he is being sought by detectives in a murder case.

Re: Missing Tia Sharp
I read "pre-planned and prearranged" as referring to the police operation, not to any suggestion that anyone else would have known about it.
Bear in mind that the police are telling the Press and media nothing. Everything you are now hearing is being invented or embellished to fill the airwaves. We have seen this before. Many times.

Re: Missing Tia Sharp
Why keep the body in the house?
Why not put it somewhere else and then report her missing. Even if these people are not the brightest, surely they would know that when there's no CCTV and not witnesses that their house will be searched.

Re: Missing Tia Sharp
Mark Williams-Thomas just been saying he has been in that house earlier this week.
When asked what he thought of it not being searched erlier he said "Astonishing" "1st rule secure premises and make sure child isn't there" He finds it absolutely incredible.

So if the operation was pre-planned and pre-arranged, why would he not be under surveillance?

I would be interested to know the major development this morning. Do we know if it was a dog alert that brought the full forensic team in?

Re: Missing Tia Sharp
He says he finds it "incredible".
But the point is the house was searched, several times, by officers and dogs.
That is the point.
The question is not whether it was searched. We have the answer to that.
Once again people are not asking the right question.
Read Tony Bennett's book on Stuart Lubbock's murder in the home of Barrymore.
They were all asking the wrong question. All of them, including the pathologist, the coroner, and police and everyone else.
And as TB so elegantly showed, if you ask wrong question, you are very likely to get the wrong answer.
One which more or less answers the question you asked.
There is a question here, which needs to be better phrased, to allow the answer to be given.
Simply finding things incredible or stupid or ridiculous shows a closed mind.

He also said that he'd been in the house and had interviewed Hazell and I think he said the grandmother. He asked if the news crew/reporters could photograph Tia's bedroom and they were told "no, no, no, nobody goes in their until Tia is found".
I do remember some years ago, I can't remember whether it was in the UK or the USA (it could have been one of the FBI crime investigation programmes) that someone disappeared for some period of time, and when the house was searched the body was found behind the bath panelling.

Re: Missing Tia Sharp
Thanks for your input PeterMac, I was a bit puzzled by the pre-arranged, I thought that this was so that the grandmother could organise alternative accommodation for the next few days, that is why I thought there had been forewarning.
Pre-arranged amongst various departments of the force it seems, I thought the police would arrive unannounced. As you say, we only know the media slant on it and they are all about the story, not facts.

The net is going to be cast a bit wider than Mr Hazell imo. Someone else is complicit in this imo.

We are back to asking the right question.
Re: Missing Tia Sharp
The German Shepherds would have found her, regardless of not being trained specialist cadaver dogs imo. They have dogs' noses. They must not have gone in the vicinity of where the body was located imo, for whatever reason. Body in an area of the house not accessed. Or not in the house at that time. All I can think of given my knowledge of dogs.

I can't but quote the Prime Minister:
"They are all in it together" (imo)
Imho they all knew from the beginning, the rest was very quickly set up.
Time will tell.

When the Sky interviewer mention the dogs going in to search the house, Former Met Police Detective Peter Kirkham said............
Wouldn't surprise me if they were dogs to indicate body remains.
