Where's Peter Mac when you need him?
We're lucky enough to have a high ranking police officer, retired, among us and he's now silent.!
I was hoping for an explanation as to why so many officers? I don't want speculation as to the family etc, but I am interested in police logistics. Twenty to seal an allyway? They are all traditionally dressed too, which is unusual.
I so hope Tia is captive on that property, though I see no reason why she shoud be. Still hoping for the best outcome.

He could be having a siesta.
Where is the step grandfather? he doesn't appear to be around today.

No idea. How strange Tia calls him her grandfather. Wouldn't you think she'd call him by his name?Nina wrote:Spaniel wrote:Where's Peter Mac when you need him?

Great PeterMac. Not looking for gossip, but interested on how a police force works. The 20 sealing off an alleyway for instance? That is riot number, but wearing trad dress?PeterMac wrote:He's here !

Just caught the tail end of someone on Sky News saying 'the police should have the availability of a polygraph test in their kit bag, but don't!'
Apparently they don't generally use them in this country it seems...

20 fully uniformed officers indicates a need for protection from a likely reaction to the next bit of news.
You are not dealing with leafy suburbia here, this is a 1960s scruffy council housing estate. Look at the pictures of the gardens, full of old beds and rubbish, and the shrubs now at forest height. Lawns not mowed for generations, and garage doors hanging off their hinges.
The sort of estate where anyone NOT connected with an event will adopt a self-righteous position which will certainly involve violent, abusive and foul language and possible physical violence either to the person or to property.
The sort of place where a drug dealer with another conviction for offensive weapon lives with a mother and then the grandmother, the child's natural father is nowhere in around, no one is married to anyone else, and so on and depressinly on.

Polygraphs are not used in Britain. Ever. So forget it. The best lie detector is a good experienced detective across a desk, with a file full of evidence he has not yet revealed.

Sarcasm no doubt, and rightfully so. Do they think a polygraph is portable? I wouldn't take one under any circumstances as they are not reliable. Note: THEY ARE NOT RELIABLE.

Slightly off topic here but I am so angry I am going to say it.... why do these bloody women move men into their houses when their children/grandchildren should ALWAYS BE THEIR FIRST CONCERN... FIRST LAST AND ALWAYS.. I am happily married but if my husband and I ever split up there will be no "boyfriends" in my house the only male in my house would be a newly bought dog... terrible. Rest in Peace Tia X

Re: Missing Tia Sharp
Very sad news about Tia
I really was not expecting to hear this sort of news in this particular case.

Re: Missing Tia Sharp
From BBC-
'(...) Police are seeking Stuart Hazell, 37, the partner of Tia's grandmother Christine Sharp, and have asked people not to approach him.
Members of the public have been asked to call 999 if they see Mr Hazell.
No arrests have been made.(...)'
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-19214964
The above shocks me somewhat, I really thought they would have had him under surveillance.

Re: Missing Tia Sharp
Sharoni. In that case I am very sorry that you must now be upset.
Unfortunately I was expecting exactly this outcome pretty well right from the start.
And so I am no longer emotionally involved.
I am fascinated to learn where exactly she had been concealed, so that waves of officers and dogs and forensic specialists did not find her sooner.
I have a theory, which I have committed to paper (PM actually) a few minutes ago, so it will be interesting to see if I am correct.
I shall let you know either way.

Re: Missing Tia Sharp
I so hoped this was going to end well despite all the signs it wouldn't. God bless young Tia and may you rest in peace.

Slightly off topic, too, but that is exactly what I was on about in the "minimum age for leaving kids alone" thread.
People don't care anymore. Egoism has replaced care for others. At the losing end of this development are the helpless=children and the elderly!
You are absolutely right.

I totally agree Petermac, scum exists in this country, but we aren't allowed to criticise these people "who have had a hard life". I had a hard life too, but I've never been in trouble with the police, never had a fine, and today, live a decent, comfortable life. I have mentioned on here, in the past, these days, there are seven or more kids born to the same mother, but all have different fathers, and the fathers of each of these children have seven or more kids themselves, by different partners. We are are a point in society where incest must be rife, with siblings breeding with each other, not knowing that they share the same parent.
Much of the time, when a young child gets maimed or murderded, more often than not, it's the mother's boyfriend who has done it. Stop all this political correctness and let the World know what these people are.........SCUM!
