I'm of the same mind, Busching will be called to court again when Brueckner is tried for the murder of Madeleine, that's if he's still alive.
Will Draycott be called again to give evidence.

A Met Police detective has revealed how the search for Madeleine McCann changed course thanks to a voicemail left on a Scotland Yard answering machine.
Detective Constable Mark Draycott appeared in Braunschweig Court today (Thursday, May 2) to answer questions about the girl's disappearance during a 2007 family holiday in Praia da Luz, Portugal. The 49-year-old has been involved in the £13million hunt, Operation Grange, since it launched in 2011.
Convicted paedophile Christian Brueckner, 48, is currently on trial in connection with the disappearance after he was identified as the prime suspect in Madeleine's disappearance in 2020. Draycott was the first police officer called by the defence team to give evidence.
He said Brueckner's former friend Helge Busching, who knew him in the Algarve in the mid-2000s, tipped off Scotland Yard in 2017. "Back then we still had a public phone number which was publicised around the world," he said.
"Members of the public could ring in information in relation to Operation Grange, the Madeleine McCann investigation. One of my jobs was to check the answer phone messages. On May 18th I checked the answer phone and there was a message."
According to DC Draycott, Busching said Brueckner told him during a discussion about Madeleine's disappearance that "she did not scream." The officer added Busching, who was not identified to him at that point, "spoke good English" and asked to speak to private investigator David Edgar.
"He said he had information and he left a Greek mobile number. I then rang this Greek mobile number and spoke to a male I now know to be Helge Lars Busching. He referred to himself as Lars and he gave information in relation to the Madeleine McCann investigation.
DC Draycott passed on the information to German and Portuguese authorities. It was this conversation that prompted the investigation into Brueckner.
Days later DC Draycott and other members of a Scotland Yard team flew to Athens to question Busching in top secrecy. The interview was carried out in a hotel which had been checked for listening devices.
Busching was on parole from a Greek jail when he spoke to detectives. "We spoke to him over two days and he gave us information in relation to the Madeleine McCann case," DC Draycott continued. "At that stage he did not want to give a statement to us.
"However as the line of inquiry continued he was happy to give a statement to British police. He said he had a conversation with Christian at the Orgiva Festival in 2008. That conversation was in relation to Operation Grange. I can’t talk about that."
DC Draycott added no promises were made to witnesses by police and Busching was not paid for the information he shared. However his coach fare to Athens was paid for – as was a "cheap" hotel.
Busching flew to London in February 2018 to give a formal statement at Scotland Yard, according to DC Draycott. "That statement had already been prepared to a certain degree due to the info he had provided," he added.
Madeleine was just three years old when she went missing.
Brueckner is currently serving a seven-year sentence for the rape of a pensioner in 2019. He is on trial accused of a number of sex attacks in Portugal which allegedly took place between 2000 and 2017.
Brueckner denies any involvement in Madeleine's disappearance.
Scotland Yard took over the investigation into Madeleine’s disappearance in 2011. The Met Police have since been given £13 million in funding from the government to spend on Operation Grange.
Last month Scotland Yard applied for another grant totalling £100,000. It is expected to be approved.
The trial continues.

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
How can a British police officer be subpoenaed to give evidence in a trial unrelated to Operation Grange? I don't understand.

My hope is that the Judge is now in possession of so many Facts that point towards Brückner being set up, and being the Victim of an orchestrated Press Campaign that this Case is no longer about Brückner.
It is more about Busching, and his motivation to Set him up.

It only makes Sense to me this way.
Germany has something to gain from helping the U.K. cover up Madeleine’s death in Portugal.
What that might be, no idea.

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
It seems everyone has a book or podcast to flog for financial gain. Lady C makes me shudder. Jon Clarke told bare faced lies for financial enrichment. Sonia Poulton wouldn't know the meaning of truth of it slapped her in the face - remember her gun toting boyfriend on her website and her betrayal of Cristobell to The Sun. Mark Williams-Thomas presented a seriously odd CV claiming to be a murder detective if my memory serves me well. Pat Brown turns up to flog a book, pays extra special homage to Mark Saunokonoko, can't pronounce his name and at the time of his podcast whined she was rushed because she had been invited to take part whilst packing to go on holiday.Liz Eagles wrote:There is someone Pat Brown forgot to mention and that is PeterMac, a senior British police officer who not only escorted her to the crime scene in PdL, contributed to the Saunokonoko podcast and has written much more worthy articles on this case for no financial reward.Jill Havern wrote:

Peter Macleod did not flog a book for financial gain; he produced an extraordinary, well researched list of articles with references. Whilst these articles may not have the appeal of a comfortable novel they are without doubt in my mind the most honest, erudite and worthy words written about a three year old girl whose disappearance has been exploited.

And who could fail to remember Sonia's (pre-arranged?) doorstepping of Kate McCann (not long after the fatal doorstepping of Brenda Leyland) who just so happened to have yellow ribbons placed all around her front door *for the occasion*.

If it wasn't for Keela indicating cadaver in 5a, I would be thinking Brueckner had abducted Madeleine.
Kate saying we've let her down would be referring to them knowing someone suspicious was about and them still leaving the children alone.

Irish woman faces Madeleine McCann suspect in court for first time after 'he raped her at knifepoint'
Hazel Behan, 40, from Dublin, told the trial she lied that she was pregnant in a bid to make him stop
ByMartin FrickerSenior Reporter
12:31, 15 MAY 2024UPDATED12:36, 15 MAY 2024
An Irish former holiday rep told a court today that she was brutally raped at knifepoint by Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner.
Hazel Behan, 40, from Dublin, was working in an Algarve resort when she was attacked by an intruder inside her apartment in June 2004. The mum-of-three, then 20, went to Portuguese cops who launched an investigation but failed to find a suspect.
She alerted Scotland Yard in 2020 after Brueckner, 48, was identified as the prime suspect in Madeleine’s 2007 disappearance. Hazel noticed chilling similarities between the attack on her and a rape carried out by Brueckner in Praia da Luz in 2005.

She bravely gave evidence in Braunschweig today, where the German is accused of her rape and other sex crimes. Today is the first time Hazel has come face to face with Brueckner in court. Brueckner has denied all the allegations against him. Hazel, of Mullingar, Ireland, told the court how she was raped in Praia da Rocha after finishing her shift.
She had argued with her boyfriend in a local bar and returned to her fifth-floor apartment alone before falling asleep. Hazel, an administrator, said: “The next thing I remember was being woken up by someone calling my name.
“I thought it was my boyfriend coming to apologise, but he had no key so how would he have got in? And then came a fear that I can never ever put into words. All the blood in my body rushed into my feet. I turned to see who was calling my name. I saw a man dressed fully in black from head to toe, with a mask.
“He kneeled into my back and put his hand over my mouth. Then he grabbed the top of my hair and he said in English, ‘Don’t f*****g scream or I’ll kill you’. He pulled me by my hair and was behind me.
“He removed my trousers and underwear. I tried to look behind me to see but he pulled my head back and said, ‘Don’t look at me’. It was in that second that I knew what was going to happen. I had a picture of my sister on the wall by my bed. And I said, ‘Please don’t hurt me, she is my baby and she needs me’. I don’t know why, but I said I was pregnant because I thought this person would not want to go with a person who was pregnant.”
Hazel then described in graphic detail how her attacker raped her “with the force of a train”. She added: “I have had three children and I’ve never felt pain like it. It felt like that moment lasted forever. I knew that this person just didn’t like me. He was aroused by the power, control. He didn’t fancy me.”
Hazel told the court she was dragged into the living room and tied to a breakfast bar with a belt and rope. She said her attacker then set up a video camera. “I remember thinking why the hell would you need a video?” she said. “My body was shaking uncontrollably and he said in English, ‘You’re scared aren’t you’. I said no, but I was afraid.”
Hazel said she was then raped for a second time. “There are some moments where you just have to completely shut off,” she said. “That was the time I switched off. My whole focus was on how do I get out of here? It was extremely painful. I was really relieved when that was over. Then he came around and took the video camera and filmed all around my body, calling me a fat b***h.
“Then he took a whip out of his rucksack, a leather whip with long tassels, and he whipped me on my back. He said ‘You’re scared now aren’t you?’ and I said yes.”
Hazel said she was raped for a third time in the bedroom, before her attacker pulled out a knife and ordered her into the bathroom.
“In my head I thought, ‘He’s going to f*****g kill me in the bathroom’,” she said. “I told him, ‘You came for what you wanted, just leave’. In my head I was thinking, ‘It’s time to scream’. He grabbed me by the hair and I was kneeling over the bench.
“He made sure my head was down and he took a sheet off my bed and put it over my head. I thought, ‘What is he going to do? Is he going to chop my head off? Next thing I remember, I could hear him packing his bag and I could see he had no shoes on.
“And then I saw the balcony door open and he stepped back out the door and put his shoes on. And I waited. I had too much fear to move. I couldn’t see out to see if he was still on the balcony, so that’s why I waited.”
Hazel eventually ran out of the room and raised the alarm at the hotel reception, the court heard. Hazel told the court how Portuguese police “laughed and joked” in front of her when she went to give a statement in Portimao.
“There were 3 police officers there, three men, they had their feet on the table and were chatting with each other,” she said.“They were completely unaware of anything happening around them, and they were only speaking in Portuguese. They were laughing and joking with each other when I sat in the chair. They threw a bag of evidence across the table and asked if they were my clothes and I said yes, of course. It was all very quick. They told me that the best thing that I could do was to go home. I never heard anything again from the Portuguese police.” She said in the days following the attack she felt “like I was in a bubble”.
“It was difficult, I had nobody who could speak Portuguese for me and I had no family with me,” she said. She claimed the managing director of the hotel “rejected” her request to watch CCTV footage from the night of the rape. “I remember feeling really angry about this,” she said. I knew that even though I didn’t see his full face, I would recognise his bag, or something, but they didn’t allow me to watch it.”
The trial continues.

They would push Bruckner's name if it was a case of jaywalking or unpaid parking fines, wouldn't they?

Irish woman says Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brückner’s eyes ‘bored into my skull’
Hazel Behan alleges Christian Brückner tied her up, raped her and whipped her for hours when she worked in Portugal in 2004

An Irish woman who claims to have been raped at knifepoint by the main suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann has said she feared for her life during the assault and that she could never forget the attacker, whose eyes “bored into my skull”.
Hazel Behan, 40, who was allegedly raped by Christian Brückner in 2004, detailed her traumatic experience in a German court on Thursday.
She described how her assailant, masked and dressed in black, tied her up, raped her and whipped her for hours, leaving her with enduring physical and psychological scars.
Brückner, 47, is accused of carrying out multiple sexual assaults in Portugal between 2000 and 2017.
Ms Behan said she still carried the scars from the attack that took place in Praia da Rocha in the Algarve, where she was working as a holiday representative.
The Algarve is also where British girl Madeleine McCann, then aged three, disappeared from her family’s holiday apartment in 2007.
Ms Behan told the court that she would never forget the attacker’s blue eyes. “I believe that this man was my attacker,” she said.
She described him as “very aggressive and hateful”.
“I knew his eyes, I know his eyes,” she said. “I see blue eyes every day. My son has blue eyes. I know the difference when you spend time in that situation and there’s nothing else you can see of this human other than their eyes, it’s the only thing to remember,” she added.
“They were boring into my skull, I will never forget them. They were just so blue. Everything else he had on was so dark, so it was like his eyes were lights. I just know them. He was very aggressive and hateful. He really didn’t like me. He was in control, he was in charge.”
Ms Behan chose to waive her right to anonymity when she approached investigators with her testimony in 2020, after a police appeal featuring Bruckner’s photo, which she claimed caused her severe distress due to the striking resemblance to her attacker.
Brückner, currently serving a seven-year prison sentence for the 2005 rape of an American woman in the Algarve, has denied all charges related to Ms Behan’s case and the McCann disappearance. He is scheduled for release at the end of next year.
The ongoing trial, which began in February and includes testimony from numerous witnesses and experts, is set to continue into the autumn.

It was his first Offence which put CB on the run to Portugal.
To be fair to Herr Wolters, why would he not think it was a possibility?
Especially if he had no prior knowledge of the PJ Files, or was told to ignore them and do a completely independant Investigation?
As soon as enough circumstantial Evidence was presented to him, he was Duty bound to act.

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
Whilst the Sun is including the Steve M story about finding Brückners dead Dog, here is some background on him, his Policewoman girlfriend, and the previously unknown fact in the U.K. that his Police girlfriend Katharina had already Trespassed on the land previously, and made Photos of it to give to the Igha G Investigation.
Because the search in which the USB sticks were found is said to have been illegal - says Brückner's defender Friedrich Fülscher. Several police officers suspected that Brückner had buried the dead Inga on his neglected area. Because they did not receive a search warrant, the officials would have invented an emergency on the premises.
Therefore, the court now heard three witnesses who had to do with the search on the 14th. January 2016.
Brückner's neighbour Steve M. (40) claims to have gone for a walk with his Rottweiler on the day in question. He claims: The dog barked a bit, ran on Brückner's property and started digging there. Because the find smelled of bodily decay, Steve M. called his girlfriend, Policewoman Katharina S (41). Two Colleagues of hers came and found the dead Dog, not a corpse - and a bag with the USB sticks.
The Defence believes: Katharina S. had previously illegally searched for traces of Inga on Brückner's property. The incident with the runaway dog was fake, an excuse - in order to be able to dig there legally.
In court, the policewoman admitted to having entered the property without a Court decision and took photos there. An e-mail in the files on the Inga case shows that Katharina S. sent the photos to Reimar K. (62), a then investigator in the Inga case. The witness could only remember this after an outburst of anger from Judge Dr. Uta Inse Engemann.
Equally problematic: a file note of the Inga investigator Reimar K. of August 2015 that, after consultation with the public prosecutor's office, there is "no legal possibility" to get "a search warrant for the property Neuwegersleben". "Search measures under the pretext of environmental crime" are also not possible.
Question of the judge: So did you look for an excuse to search the site? Answer of the ex-police officer: Yes, that is possible.
The court wants to announce soon whether the written rape fantasies of the Maddie suspect may play a role in this trial.

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
Where dd they find these 17 year old e-mails?
t couldn't have been on a computer or phone because Brueckner's neighbours allegedly clear out his apartment and got rid of everything, or so we are told.
The only other place would be the server. How long do e-mails stay on the server? Bare in mind that this was 2007 so any e-nail accounts that he may have paid for would have closed down.
Who is the recipient of these e-mails?
What was said?
Has the 2nd party come forward?
