Actually, yes, we did get a reply. I can't lay my hands on it immediately, but will post it up if I find it.
The gist of it was that our letter provided 'insufficient grounds' for the GMC to investigate any further.
I'm not sure, however, that I would want to be treated by a cardiologist who was suffering from:
"...permanent anxiety, insomnia, lack of appetite, irritability, indefinable fear and who felt totally destroyed, irreparably damaged, and totally destroyed from a moral, social, ethical, emotional and family point of view".
Still, I think we made our point, and at least one person at the GMC also had a free read of '60 Reasons'.

The GMC were notoriously slow over Harold Shipman, as I remember. They took his drug habit into account but failed to strike him off, or put any form of supervision in place, with the result that he became probably the UK's most prolific serial murderer.
But we can trust the GMC's judgment on the McCanns, I feel sure !
