Thank you very much for posting, but...
...the credibility of this article in the Daily Mirror is in my view fatally undermined by this statement the Mirror makes half-way down the article:
"We worked with former detective Mark Williams-Thomas..."
Oh dear!
Always relevant to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann is the fact that when Operation Grange was set up, the Senior Investigating Officer in the case, DCI Andy Redwood, was answerable to Det Chief Supt Hamish Campbell, who also set the remit for Operation Grange (see my signature, below).
Much more about Hamish Campbell here: https://jillhavern.forumotion.net/t9457-a-biography-of-hamish-campbell-the-man-chosen-to-head-operation-grange (Long: in 4 sections).
After the initial investigation into Jill Dando's death, Hamish Campbell was the Investigating Officer put in charge of the investigation into Jill Dando's killing. He soon claimed that that the police profile of the likely killer was of a loner and, lo and behold! Barry Bulsarsa a.k.a. Barry George, a loner, was wrongly arrested, wrongly charged, wrongly prosecuted, and wrongly convicted - much of it due to Hamish Campbell's men having
Jill Dando's killing was clearly a professional killing.
The media, prompted by the BBC's Clarence Mitchell, who was the first reporter at the scene, continuously broadcast that the most likely killer was a 'Serbian hit-man', allegedly in revenge for NATO force bombing the Belgrade state Yugoslav TV station during the Kosovo conflict.
A more likely scenario is that it was a hit-man employed by career criminal Kenneth Noye, who might have been taking revenge for a BBC Crimewatch episode, fronted by Jill Dando, which gave information about Noye to the public which led to his arrest and subsequent imprisonment.
The rumour mill continues to claim that Jill Dando was killed by the government, and the rumour-mongers point to a possible role by Jill Dando's fiancé at the time, Dr Alan Farthing, who was one of the Queen's doctors. It is claimed that she had stumbled on a paedophile ring connected to the BBC.
A good friend of Dando's, Sir Cliff Richard, was questioned several times by the police over the killing, but not as a suspect.
AFAIK there is not a shred of evidence for this latter theory

Any chance you could shed some light on your dealings with Shrimpton ?
The reason I ask is because Im a strong believer in what Edward Harle said, but am confused as to why Shrimptons tale was on the same wavelength albeit very random. I know you shared an office with Shrimpton. whom you now call a nutjob but you were close.
Tony, this is not a goading, just wondering. Im also wondering how you came about the knowledge that the Naomi Corlett was a secret service boat. Thats new to me so just trying to get all angles on things.
Also whilst Im here, and no doubt you will convince others Im a troll, who did you travel with to Luz to take a sneak peek ?

There's also a thread, "The Mystery of Jill Dando's Murder" here, but I'm unable to c/p on tablet.

Yet Another Troll wrote:You're right Tony. In fact you're always right. You should have been a Police Officer.
Very droll. But flattery will get you nowhere.
Any chance you could shed some light on your dealings with [Michael] Shrimpton?
1. Whilst working for UKIP in 1999-2001, I commissioned, on behalf of Jeffrey Titford M.E.P., a long legal opinion from him on whether or not it was legal for the government of the time to make weighing and pricing in pounds and ounces illegal. It was a brilliant analysis of the subject and caused no end of problems for the government - but that's a long story.
2. In 2001 he represented me in Maidstone Magistrates Court when I was charged with theft and criminal damage in relation to the removal of illegal road signs in metric from various roads in Kent. Despite Shrimpton's best efforts, I was convicted on both counts. I appealed successfully to Maidstone Crown Court but used a different barrister this time. The theft conviction was quashed. I was given an Absolute Discharge with no costs to pay on the criminal damage charge. Months after this ruling, the Department for Transport ordered all local Councils in the UK to remove any illegal metric signs they had erected. In 2006 the government abandoned their plans to sign Britain's roads in metric.
3. When Shrimpton in 2008 circulated a preposterous intelligence report claiming to know what really happened to Madeleine McCann, I publicly lambasted the document and called him a fantasist
4. I have publicly criticised Sonia Poulton for giving a platform for Shrimpton to air his nonsense on David Icke's 'People's TV'.
5. Just for the record, I have had no dealings with Shrimpton since the 2001 court case.
The reason I ask is because I'm a strong believer in what Edward Harle said...
Never heard of him
...but am confused as to why Shrimpton's tle was on the same wavelength albeit very random.
I know you shared an office with Shrimpton...
Never - nothing like - completely untrue
whom you now call a nutjob
No, I have used these terms about him: 'fantasist' and 'Walter Mitty character, that is all
but you were close.
Not at all. No 'closer' than any client is to a barrister who is representing him
Tony, this is not a goading, just wondering.
Hmmm, pull the other one
I'm also wondering how you came about the knowledge that the Naomi Corlett was a secret service boat.
Was it? Who says?
That's new to me, so just trying to get all angles on things.
Ah yes
Also whilst I'm here, and no doubt you will convince others I'm a troll, who did you travel with to Luz to take a sneak peek?
Never been there

Jill Dando killing, Metropolitan Police fail to act
Something big must require covering up if all of a sudden, numerous facts are released to the general public with regard to previously attempted access denied or is this what they would say paranoia, because you can be certain they want someone to look over here, not over there?
If it smells like **it, you know its s**t and look at the shenanigans of police cover-ups from the past?
Just look at the information on child abuse they failed to investigate and ask your self honestly, would you trust them?

North London Connection
The North London connection is not feasible, at the time the prominent family being hinted at were under heavy MI5 surveillance. Cars, houses everything was bugged. The investigative journalist who wrote this should have known better and should have done his research. I also cannot see it being Noye as a lot of his crimes appear to be impulsive or he was in the right place at the right time
I am sure the same gun was reportedly used in a shooting in Liverpool and so the theory it was disposed of in North London is also utter non sense.
She was a lead journalist for one of the biggest broadcasters world wide.
I found all of this information within ten minutes of reading the Mirror article.

REPLY BY TONY BENNETT
Surely this is a response by a rattled establishment to the success of Richard D Hall's recent and sensational film on the murder of Jill Dando, is it not?
Richard presented convincing evidence that Jill Dando was murdered by the government to cover-up massive errors over the 'nail-bomb' murders which occurred weeks before Jill was executed.
And now the establishment has wheeled out once again the discredited Mark Williams-Thomas to spout yet more nonsense to the media, just as the establishment chose him for the same role in the Madeleine McCann case.
How much of a coincidence is it that in the cases of Madeleine McCann's disappearance and Jill's execution...
* Clarence Mitchell was rushed in to cover the story
* Det Chief Supt Hamish Campbell was the Investigating Officer (Dando case) and the Senior Investigating Officer (Madeleine McCann case)?
----
This reminds us of what happened weeks after Richard Hall in his second Madeleine McCann film. 'The Phantoms', he sensationally highlighted the fact that Nuno Lourenco's account of 'Sagres Man' was a tissue of lies from start to finish' and that his description of Polish man Wojcek Krokowski was the basis also for Jane Tanner's 'Tannerman' and most probably the Smiths' 'Smithman' as well. Just weeks later - after there had been no coverage of Krokowski anywhere in the media for eight years, the People suddenly travelled to Poland and did a major front-page story on him.
Was it also a coincidence that Mark Williams-Thomas was handed, on a plate, the information that enabled him to 'out' Jimmy Savile?
I doubt it. That gave him massive 'street cred' - which he and the Daily Mail are now using to justify printing his nonsense.
He appears too often for the government and the powers-that-be, saying things that put the public 'off the scent'.

Jill Dando's murder 20 years on: Fresh eyewitness accounts raise disturbing questions as reconstruction reveals how crime scene was contaminated after star was shot at her door 'clutching keys'
The panicked emergency response to the contaminated crime scene. Twenty years on from the murder of Jill Dando (right) in 1999 dramatic eye witness accounts detail the moments after the presenter was found murdered on her doorstep in Fulham, London. A new investigation by the Daily Mail tracks Jill's last moments (map centre) as well as revealing new testimonies from neighbours in the area and Jill's fiancé Alan Farthing (pictured bottom right with Jill) who were due to marry later that year.

Has anyone seen the list of the top 100 suspects ? Apparently a hitman says two members of a notorious London crime family , one in particular , jumped out at him straight away. I think it may be the notorious one from the East End , not North . One of the men had a connection to Saville from visiting Ronnie Kray in Broadmoor ..
