It's been over 10 years since the disappearance of Madeleine McCann - who went missing from the resort Praia da Luz in Portugal back in 2007- and yet it still remains one of the biggest mysteries of recent times.

But one criminalist has said that he has 'no doubt' that Kate and Gerry McCann's daughter died in the apartment.


Speaking to Portuguese website Flash!, Moita Flores - who was once involved with the Judiciary Police that conducted the initial search - said: "It was impossible to pass in that window with a child, Maddie died in that house."
He added: "The secret is in that group of people and in the parents who are influential people in the British government."
Flores is a Portuguese crime expert, researcher and writer, whose beliefs also mirror those of police chief Goncalo Amaral, the Daily Mail reports.
Flores continued: "With the 96,000 euros made available by the British government, they did a reconstitution in Praia da Luz, which is the only way to solve the case."

Since Madeleine's disappearance on 3 May 2007, when her parents Kate and Gerry were out having a meal with friends, a worldwide search has been conducted.
Last month the Metropolitan Police were believed to have approached the Home Office to appeal for extra funds, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.
So far, government funding for the investigation has been agreed every six months. The last funding given to the Met Police in relation to the investigation saw £154,000 ($215,000) being granted from October last year until the end of March this year.

A Home Office spokesperson said: "The Home Office has provided funding to the Metropolitan Police for Operation Grange and the resources required are reviewed regularly with careful consideration given before any new funding is allocated."

Speaking on behalf of Madeleine's parents, Clarence Mitchell said: "The Met Police will put in a further request for funds if they feel work still needs to be done.
"Money in the Madeleine Fund gives Kate and Gerry the option to pick up their own inquiries again, if they choose, with private investigators."
Last May, Madeleine's parents posted a birthday message on the Facebook page for the official campaign to find her, saying: "Happy 14th Birthday, Madeleine! We love you and we're waiting for you and we're never going to give up."
Madeleine would be 15 this May.

I’ve been a bit out of the loop for a couple of years but not because I think differently.
Now I’m able to take more part my feelings are even more intense that after all this time, nothing has changed!
No proper investigation, no relevant questions asked and yet all that money spent!
We surely have the right to expect and demand more.

Jazega : suggestions ?? Numerous but the one to which I subscribe is that Madeleine died in a tragic accident.

Unfortunately, during that week MW/OC were "hosting" a meeting that included some exceedingly important high ranking people, some of whom were involved in paedophilia/nepiophilia. I cannot yet decide whether Madeleine herself was being abused but I suspect she was (reluctance to issue medical records, bruising, make-up photo, Kate's book passage) 

Hence the extraordinary cover-up.

IMO accidental death,however the blood patterns in 5A on the walls,sofa,curtains and tiles guide me to the possibility of a fall or a fatal reaction to medication.who knows'.as Goncalo said once mi5 open the files we will know the truth.
The make up photo is very disturbing and it would not surprise me that your thoughts may not be too far off the mark.

Whether accidental or not, the location and pattern of the blood splatters always gives me a heart-wrenching feeling as I can't, and really don't want to, begin to imagine what can have happened to that poor wee girl.

In a macabre way, it is those feelings that keep me focussed and driven to try and achieve justice for her

Undeniably there have been numerous references to child abuse associated with this case, indeed started by the McCann themselves within minutes/hours of Kate McCann raising the alarm. For that reason and other pointers referenced in the PJ files, It's quite understandable that folk think some form of child abuse is at the heart of this case.

It is however important not to stray off into the realms of fantasy and/or cling to past forum myths long since debunked. To address you points one by one..

1. In the absence of any evidence to support your "subscribed suggestion", it really isn't worthy of further thought. This is a serious research/analytical/investigative forum, it's not helpful to it's main purpose for distractions of this kind.

1. Whether or not the UK denied access to Madeleine's medical records is a moot point as regards abuse - if medics identified signs of physical or mental abuse, Madeleine would have been removed from parental care.

2. What bruising?

3. The 'make-up' photograph is an enigma yet to be unravelled.

4. The entry in Kate McCann's book is certainly not a comment one would expect from the mother of a three year old child but it doesn't prove anything. It's just yet another plug for the grand paedophile abduction hypothesis. The book is packed-out with prosaic mumbo-jumbo.

Please, for the integrity of the forum and in the interest of Madeleine McCann, stick to facts, evidenced material and informed opinion. Alas, thanks to the likes of twitter and facebook who revel in preposterous theorizing, CMoMM and other serious justice seekers have been labelled vile trolls, conspiraloons and such like. Let's keep CMoMM respectable and professional.
