KATE McCann screamed: “the f***ing b******s have taken her” in the frantic moments after daughter Madeleine went missing, a key witness has revealed.
The distraught mother was heard screaming out in anguish as husband Gerry sobbed on a friend’s shoulder while a frantic search for their missing three-year-old daughter took place.

Speaking to the Sun Online a decade after the chilling crime which gripped the world, holidaymakers Paul and Susan Moyes, who had an apartment just two floors directly above where the McCanns were staying, recounted how the couple were in hysterics.
Paul, 68, said: “The McCanns were in bits, he was crying on the shoulder of a friend.
“She was screaming ‘the f***ing b******s have taken her’.
“There was no doubt about the emotion that night.”
The couple, from Middlewich, Cheshire, had spent the night of May 3, 2007, sitting on their balcony – which overlooked the tapas bar where Kate, Gerry and their friends were enjoying a night out.
After sipping whisky the holidaymakers went to bed at around 10pm – only to be woken up an hour-and-a-half later by banging on their door.
According to Paul and Susan Moyes, Gerry was sobbing on a friend’s shoulder as the reality sunk in

Retired accountant Paul said: “It was a friend of the McCanns, saying that a little girl had been abducted.”
Paul said the family friend asked them to contact the media immediately to see if they could get the search as much profile as possible.
Wiping the sleep from their eyes, Paul and Susan then raced downstairs to join the search for any sign of the girl – who by now had been missing for around two hours.
AC Mark Rowley says there are 'significant leads' in Madeleine McCann enquiry
After quizzing people in nearby bars, the couple made their way back to their apartment and came across distraught Kate and Gerry.
Paul said: "It was four in the morning before we got to bed. Stood about 10 to six yards away that night was Kate McCann wailing and crying."
Recounting the time period in which it is thought Maddie was taken, the couple said they were on their balcony drinking whisky - but saw nothing suspicious going on.

Paul said: "We didn’t see a soul in the original timeline of 9pm to 9.30pm.
"My take on it, as I have said a million times, especially to the Met, I don’t know what happened.
"I do feel there is information that the public at large doesn’t know.
"My wife is of a different opinion and feels it was an abduction.
"All we can say is we didn’t see anything in the time window that was allotted."
The couple still regularly holiday in Praia du Luz - although they are currently selling their 200,000-plus Euros apartment.
The Sun Online revealed how a mysterious "woman in purple" is thought to be the prime suspect being hunted by British cops in connection with Maddie's disappearance.
British gran Jenny Murat told how she remembers seeing the female loitering outside the very apartment from which Maddie was snatched just TWO HOURS before the child’s distraught mum Kate discovered she was missing in 2007

Well, this is a pretty kettle of fish.
Not just "They've taken her". Now it's the F****** B*****ds have taken her. Rather takes the gloss off the Fiona Bruce interview.
Who are these F****** B*****ds Kate?
Lots of cross-referencing to do re T9 statements but first impressions are of helluva lot of static wailing and crying but no searching by distaught parents for a live findable child. Sounds believable, doesn't it?
Evidently a friend volunteered the abduction scenario. Three guesses who that was.
Jta. The headline does Kate no favours. And the content is a bit off message for the Scum. Has Cressida been on the blower?
Not sure if the 9 to 9..30 window being all quiet is a nod in Redwood's revised timeline though. Needs some thinking about.

I think if reality was being allowed to or able sink in it wasn't anything to do with abduction. Not bothering to search compounded it.

To help you with your thinking ........
Susan and Paul Moyes were the occupants of apartment G5K, which was the apartment directly above Mrs Fenn's; 2 floors above the McCanns apartment.
There are no witness statements from them in the released files, despite the fact they would have been crucial witnesses to the events of that evening. Neither is there any mention of them by name in Kate's book.
1. Susan Moyes speaks to Radio Stoke (24th October 2011) - includes a transcript of the interview
SUSAN MOYES Harsh, very, very harsh. Hand on heart, we’ve all done something like that, I think. And erm, no, its just unfortunate. Just a sad, unfortunate accident.

I am surprised at the headline though, particularly today. It shows Kate McCann in all her potty-mouthed glory and drives a coach and horses through the careful PR around the Fiona Bruce interview.
It all comes back to who are "they"?' as Goncalo asked her at the time. They, we discover are the F****** B******ds. I mean this turn of phrase is so specific. She means particular individuals.
If, as a mother, you were inclined to use foul language under these stricken circumstances wouldn't you be more likely to shout "Some F****** B*****d has taken her."?
But Kate chooses the definite article 'The'. And uses plurality.
Jta The question of who "they" were has previously been debated on other threads here over the years. I bear in mind that Kate talked of the taking of Madeleine occurring not as a result of leaving the children asleep, but under other circumstances. I think it possible there were last minute changes of plan that maybe took her unawares, but these do not materially affect my view that no abduction took place.

Yes Mirage there was a lot of discussion as to whether the 'they've taken her' was speaking of one or more people. Some said that it could be something to do with the area you were brought up in or later lived in as to whether 'they' was denoting just one person or more.Mirage wrote:Thanks RosieandSam. Well now we have it, it was plural as the B------ has an S at the end of the expletive, or have we got that wrong too?
So who are they, not him or her but they?

Did Kate McCann come from Allerton in Liverpool? I think I read somewhere that she did.
I come from Woolton which is directly next to Allerton, a short hop from one to the other divided by a dual carriageway called "Menlove Avenue", which isn't very politically correct, I know, but that's how we roll.
Him/Her He/She is one person (sorry if I missed a few of the new genders out).
They/Them/These/Those means more than one person.
So while it may sound like, Day Dem Deez and Doze, it still means more than one.

All that swearing and sobbing on shoulders.
Yet a few hours later Gerry naps with Amelie on his chest while Kate wanders about the apartment waiting for it to get light.
While their daughter is missing..
