A “WICKED” child rapist who was quizzed as a suspect over Madeleine McCann’s disappearance has died in custody, the Sun can reveal.
Anthony Woodhouse died today while serving a seventeen-and-a-half year sentence at Channings Wood jail in Devon.

The convicted paedophile died at Channings Wood prison in Devon
Sources claim the paedo – who was grilled by Scotland Yard cops grilled the paedo for two hours over Maddie’s disappearance in 2014 – died of natural causes.
He had spent more than 10 years hiding in Portugal having gone on the run after raping a 14 year-old in Hertfordshire in 1998, who became pregnant.
The Met spoke to him about a cleaning business he was running in the Algarve when Madeleine went missing in 2007.




He was quizzed after it emerged cops wanted to trace six British cleaners who working at the Praia da Luz resort where Madeleine’s family were staying.
An eyewitness at the time said: “Officers took him into a private room for a good couple of hours. They were talking about how he was in ‘close proximity’ to where Madeleine disappeared.

Oh gawd, dead or alive it wasn't him.
 MSM are going to tweak every last drop of McCann related articles and are making complete fools of themselves! Do they not realise that the majority of the public are well aware that there is zero evidence if any abductor!

A “WICKED” child rapist who was quizzed as a suspect over Madeleine McCann’s disappearance has died in custody, the Sun can reveal.

For days after he was quizzed, Woodhouse was abused by inmates.

“Whenever he walked down the corridor, they’d chant ‘Give her back, give her back.’”

The paedo handed himself up to the British Embassy in Lisbon in 2008 claiming he was “preoccupied with guilt every day”.

Judge Alistair McCreath told his trial at Worcester Crown Court: “This is as bad a case of rape that one can imagine and it is difficult to overstate how wicked it was.

“It is inevitable that the child was hugely damaged.”

A prison service spokesman yesterday said: “HMP Channings Wood prisoner Anthony Woodhouse died in custody on Wednesday March 1.

“As with all deaths in custody, there will be an independent investigation by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman.”

It comes as shamed mum Karen Matthews, who faked the disappearance of her daughter Shannon, slammed Maddie’s parents Kate and Gerry McCann for leaving their daughter alone.

And a detective has revealed his theory that Madeleine McCann “left her holiday apartment and went searching for her parents at a nearby tapas bar” on the night she went missing.

Oh please, not 'im again.  They really are desperate aren't they?

Goncalo Amaral's monumental victory at the Lisbon Supreme Court really has stirred up a hornet's nest.

Still, I guess something's got to justify the next injection of cash into Operation Grange.  I shall be extremely surprised if it officially closed in the next month or so.

Which "sources"? So if he was grilled by SY cops in 2014, why has this only hit the headlines now? Which "eyewitness"?

It's like that British suspect who died I Germany some years ago. Don't they have Portuguese or even Spanish sex offenders? It seems any suspects carries more credence if they are British.
