Both third world countries under the tyranny of Dictators, who they only managed to get rid of in 1974 and 1975 respectively.
Not for nothing did someone observe "Africa begins at the Pyrenees". [attributed to Dumas, but probably someone else]
Their recent apparent prosperity is completely baseless. Neither has any industry to fall back on, and tourism and construction are not sufficient, as both countries are now discovering and will do so even more as the UK's cash dries up and the Frugal Four demand some fiscal responsibility

I'm in two minds whether this video is based on media reports or based on the 2019 Netflix documentary.

Don't people in a position to speak out publicly ever take the trouble of checking the facts?

It makes me so angry to see and hear the same old trite nonsense repeated over the years. Or is it simply a case of 'if you repeat something often enough it will become a reality'?

If you're going to go public with analysis of any subject, you first need to thoroughly research that subject. Otherwise, what's the point?

I knew about that fellow's Youtube videos, even before he spoke about the Madeleine case.

It's very clear that he only knows what's in media reports and the Netflix documentary, and hasn't actually researched the case himself.

People are free to comment on the case and publish their perspective on the Internet, even if their analysis is based on something as unreliable as the mainstream media. Dr. Grande's video adds nothing of value to this case, and is merely a short rehash of the same old tale that the public has been getting for the last 13 years.

It's a shame that a video as pointless as his gets more views in a short period of time than the factual and thoroughly researched films of Richard D. Hall, but hey... that's Youtube for ya.

Make no mistake - Youtube is also a propaganda machine, and doesn't serve the interests of the public.
