Action Kate hits Hollywood?

A lot of similarities here! Child goes missing on holiday, athletic blonde mother, 'Sophie' rhymes with Maddie, Morocco as a setting, political trappings etc etc...

After they delayed the release of 'Gone Baby Gone' for sensitivity years ago, I couldn't help but notice this.

There's no similarities at all imo. Madeleine wasn't kidnapped and Kate didn't look for her and Sophie doesn't rhyme with Maddie? Sorry

Well I suppose that depends on your accent, the 'ie' sounds the same at the end of both for me.

Both syllables need to rhyme - like Molly and Polly.

Ok, so only the last syllable rhymes, technically the name doesn't rhyme. Still a two syllable name ending in 'ie' though. Close enough to bear resemblance - remember Pennington saying she heard 'Gabby, Abbie or Maddie', not names that 'technically' rhyme.

This is obviously a tongue in cheek post, but this film bears MUCH more resemblance to the case than Gone Baby Gone ever did.

Very hard to see a similarity. No international media explosion, No forced entry scene, No whooshing curtains, No written timeline of events, No prayng arabs even thought this is the land of praying arabs, No appeal fund set up, No wristbands or t shirts, No church to pray in, and finally this person actively went out to search for her child, Kate McCann did not.
