I could find nowhere if it indeed was a stranger abduction, or another parental one.

Thanks Amy Dean. I suspected something like that. Apart from the statistics they had a very detailed description of the man, suggesting he was known.

Corpus Christi Police find abducted Alice boy, suspect in custody

UPDATE: Corpus Christi Police officers have located 7-year-old Nicolas Gomez in Corpus Christi. He is safe at a local fire station. Meanwhile, officers have also located a suspect in connection with his disappearance, Channing Eloy Galbraith. Galbraith was located at the Family Dollar Store at Weber and Holly.
PREVIOUS STORY:
The Alice Police Department has issued an Amber Alert for a 7-year-old boy from Alice.
They are searching for 7-year-old Nicolas Gomez, who is described as white, about 4 feet tall and 60 pounds. He has brown hair that is shaved and brown eyes.
Police are also looking for 29-year-old Channing Eloy Galbraith, who is described as 5'7", 160 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo of a lightning bolt on his head.
Alice Police said Galbraith is the boy's mother's boyfriend. They believe the child is in grave or immediate danger.
The suspect is driving a white 2009 Dodge Avenger with the Texas license plate number BC4T525. The vehicle is keyed on one side and there is damage to the body. Galbraith was last heard from in Alice.

So they knew who it was, knew the car, knew everything except where he was.

Not exactly an Abduction then.
