"INVOLVEMENT OF THE BRITISH FOREIGN OFFICE? ... MORE THAN YOU THINK EXTRACT December 3, 2007 A memo was leaked to the Belgian newspaper La Dernière Heure regarding a diplomat's concerns about the case. Questions have been raised as to whether the memo may have been written by Ambassador Buck or someone in his office, although diplomat's name was not published in the newspaper articles. The leaked memo was routed through the British diplomatic mission in Brussels The leaked memo was sent "just days" after Madeleine disappeared. The leaked memo warned the Foreign Office of concerns regarding the McCanns and warned of the risks of siding with the McCanns in public. The diplomat immediately had doubts after being sent to Praia da Luz due to what he considered to be inconsistencies in their testimonies and "confused declarations" as to the whereabouts of the McCanns and their friends on May 3. The memo mentions instructions "from London" that consular staff "overstretch their authority and put pressure on Portuguese authorities." The memo refers to orders sent the previous day from the Foreign Office in London commanding embassy staff to provide all possible assistance to the McCanns and that the McCanns "had to be "accompanied at all times during any contact with the Portuguese police" by a member of consular staff or by British police officers sent out from the UK. He also mentioned their lack of cooperation with the Portuguese police The memo was sent *from the Algarve* to the Foreign office days after Madeleine "went missing" Quote: "With the greatest respect, I would like to make you aware of the risks and implications to our relationship with the Portuguese authorities, if you consider the possible involvement of the couple. "Please confirm to me, in the light of these concerns, that we want to continue to be closely involved in the case as was requested in your previous message." The Belgian report also stated that Portuguese detectives believe it is possible Madeleine died as the result of an accident on May 3 in the family's holiday apartment and that her parents hid and later disposed of her body with the help of their friends. They said it is highly significant that almost all of the diplomats involved at the outset have now been taken off the case. News Winnow: British Foreign Office: Timeline - Madeleine McCann case NEWSOUTLINES.BLOGSPOT.COM"
"I have already donated via Paypal on another site, but I am donating again because I want to stand up here and be counted. Disagreeing with the McCanns' version of Madeleine's disappearance does not make me a "troll", and I am sick to the back teeth of the one-sided reporting of this case in the mainstream media. Have no journalists read the police files on the case? It seems not. Sr Amaral, I hope and trust that you will win your appeal."

I seem to remember a comprehensive list as well.
It's time to show how litigious this whole saga became from the humble beginnings of a flood of donations from the kind hearted public. Mortgage payments, £40k for a website which had its HQ in Oban (that 'family touch') when everything else had an HQ in London needs to be explained too. £40k for a website set up by a former pupil of Aunty Phil in Oban beggars belief.
Why haven't the McCanns sued Stephen Birch? Why did Sky News not tackle Stephen Birch? Why has Sky News never been sued by the McCanns? after all Martin Brunt made some pretty damning reports.
This is such a sick and twisted cover up.

These are the reasons for my donation to this fund today: On 14 October 2010 the Appellate Court in Lisbon overturned a previous ban on Dr. Gonçalo Amaral's book, "Maddie - A Verdade da Mentira" (The Truth of the Lie), deeming the book to be factual - based on the 2007 investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann - and therefore non-libellous, and that Dr Amaral was entitled to express his opinion. Kate and Gerry McCann quickly appealed against this decision, but their appeal was rejected outright by the Supreme Court on 18 March 2011. A final judgement was made in recent weeks in the civil court case, McCann vs Aamaral, in which the McCanns are attempting to claim damages from Dr Amaral to the tune of £1 million. The judgement rejected all claims for damages on behalf of the three McCann children, and only partially upheld just one aspect of the parents' claims - that the publication of the book had caused them "distress", in spite of it being based of factual information otherwise in the public domain in the form of the official police (PJ) files. All other claims were rejected. In particular the judgement ruled that the publication of the book had not harmed the search for Madeleine. Additionally, the judgement has flown in the face of the 2011 Supreme Court's ruling by once again banning Amaral's book - a seemingly extraordinary decision, in my opinion. The McCanns were awarded a very large sum of money - approximately half a million pounds - to compensate for their "distress". They were reported in the press to be "delighted" at this judgement and have publicly stated: "We want to emphasise that the action was never about money. It has always been focused on the effects of the libels on our other children and the damage that was done to the search for Madeleine." This is in the face of the court ruling that no harm has come to the search for Madeleine, and that no claims for damages for the three children were upheld, and in the face of choosing to claim £1 million damages. Gonçalo Amaral has a right to appeal this decision and has indicated he will do so. The McCanns have at their disposal the money invested in their private limited company, Madeleine's Fund - money that has been largely donated by the public for the purpose of searching for Madeleine - to pay for their own legal costs should they wish to do so. However, for Amaral, with half his pension and all his assets frozen by the courts for five years as a result of the McCanns bringing this law suit, paying for a lawyer to pursue this appeal himself is nigh on impossible. He needs our help to ensure that justice is finally served in this matter. The best of British luck to you, Gonçalo!

I've never commented on-line before but if this makes me a 'Troll', I'm proud to be one. I always supported the mccan's, sent them cash and bought the holiday packs and T.Shirts. Since the article in the Sun, I have read the CMOMM forum and read much of the case files. I simply can't believe what has been hidden from us for so long. I was so trusting and naive, I simply cannot believe the amount of evidence - the dogs, the 48 questions, the crazy Tapas 9 stories, the entering through front door - then the back door - I could go on but won't bother. What is going on with UK/Portuges establishments and the MSM ? What is being covered up? I am truly shocked and speachless and will be donating this monthly amount until Amaral gets his 25k. What was WW2 all about - What is going on in this country?

Re: Tributes to Dr G Amaral
Sometimes I have to wonder at the TRUE motives of the MSM.
Surely the best way to put out a fire is to deprive it of oxygen, therefore if Amaral was a problem, would it not be better to just disregard any news about him until he faded into obscurity?
"No news is good news"
Instead the Press have adopted a "look over here" stance using incendiary and headline-grabbing phrases such as 'troll'.
Surely they must be aware that this fom of 'journalism' inspires curiousity of those who, until now, have sat on the fence. And many of those will be led to the PJ Files and draw the same conclusions that those of us here have.
Or maybe I am over-thinking it and crediting the MSM with more brain cells than they actually possess.
TBH I hold the same opinion about press coverage of terrorism - suffocation is key.And that is certainly not an attitude heeded by the news agencies.
So what do I know????

You 'know' what you 'know'!
If 'it's' there, in black and white, (KM 'bewk') or 'seen' with your own eyes, (TV 'interviews') you 'KNOW'!
And NOBODY, not McCanns', not 'msm', can ever 'take' that from you!

The 'dossier' compilers must have gone through a whole pack of crayons, by now, writing down all of the names of the HUNDREDS of anti McCann 'trolls' that have 'donated' to GA's lawyers 'fund'!
